Chapter 308 Jade Is Gone

     I took my phone with me in case another call came in and left the living room to the kitchen. I got to the kitchen to see Govey waiting for me with tears in her eyes, my heart skipped a beat at her sight. Govey to be here means there is trouble.

   "Govey what's the matter and why is there tears in your eyes"

I asked, almost panicking.

  She sniffed and looked at me with her tears flowing freely. I pulled her to me and hugged her to myself.

   "You can talk to me,what is the matter and where is Jade?"

I questioned.

   "Jade is gone"

She said and I let go of her in shock.

  "How?"

I did not want to believe what I heard, Jade can't be gone. If he is actually gone then there is trouble. The fate of the world is at stake.

  "I don't know, Nora. I woke up and prepared a meal for him and went inside to get him some water, but by the time I returned I could not find him. I looked everywhere thinking he has gone out like usual but no, Nora he is gone. They successfully taken him, I just failed"

She sobbed quietly. That's so bad, this can't be.

"I thought the magic of the East would protect him?"

I asked still not believing her, Jade can't be gone. He might probably be somewhere playing.

"I thought so too and it was supposed to be so, I don't even know what to do. Nora, wie need to find him or else the human race is doomed."

"Govey calm down, we will find him but how?"

  "We need to use the Crystal ball"

She suggested.

  "I don't have a crystal ball"

I said and she blinked.

   "Then we are doomed because I made away with my own Crystal ball a long time again."

   I thought of what to do then I remembered Gina,she can be of help but what happens to Jeff, I wish Ben is here to take care of him while Govey and I go in search of Jade.

   "The witch princess could be of help but I have got an issue with me."

"What issue?"

She asked, wiping her tears.

 "There is a little boy in my house who got lost and we need to return him to his parents as soon as possible and as it stands now, I don't how we are going to do it, only if Ben is here, he would have taken care of him while we go to South in search of Jade."

  "Alright, I will wait. I just pray we find him before it's too late"

Govey said and sat down.

   I picked my phone and called Ben

He picked up almost immediately.

  "Darling can you make it faster, something came up".

I told him

"Alright, I am almost through. Will be in your place in a Jiffy."

He said and I hung the call.

  "He will soon be here. I was about making breakfast, hope you would not mind our modern meal?"

I asked her.

   "Not really,I eat everything I see"

She replied and I nodded.

 She was putting on a brown gown with a cloak. Witches and cloaks, very soon the humans would start identifying us with cloaks.

   "I have never been thought that a day would come sometime that will make me leave East would surface and it's bad it has to be a problem."

  " It's sad too, just don't worry. We will find him."

I said as I unpacked my groceries.

   "You have got a nice place here"

Her eyes were all-over my kitchen, I know she was trying to engage her mind so that she would not over think.

"Yeah, it's been my place for a while now. Let me get you some water"

I said and left to get her water, a welcoming ceremony by the witches. The first thing they ever think when a fellow witch visits them is to offer them water.

   I returned with a glass of water and handed it to her, which she took gracefully. She mouthed her thanks and drank the water in ago and set the glass on the counter near her.

   I was done arranging wherever I bought and brought whatever I would need for breakfast. Jeff requested for a scrambled egg, bread and tea and that's what Govey and I will take too.

   It's not something that will take time though, just scrambled some eggs, make three cups of tea and breakfast will be ready. I sighed and got to work while Govey watched me.
