Chapter 319 Mission Impossible

Ben's point of view.....

   The moment I stepped out of Nora's apartment, I knew I was in for trouble. Taking care of Jeff before getting to his family will be mission impossible. I understands the importance of Nora going to South and that's why I would take up this responsibility even when I don't know how I was going to go about it. Which way forward?.

   How on Earth was I going to locate Jeff's parents in Beverly. Beverly is not small and I can't even imagine doing it the witch way. Mom could help because the mansion is Magic prove so no one will find out. 

    I got to my car at where I parked and unlocked it using the key remote.

    I turned to pick Jeff up and he was not behind me which means he has not been following me.

   "Menh, another problem on its own"

I said not believing that I have to start looking for him. We are on mission to get to his parents but Jeff has gone missing as well or should I say he is playing a prank on me. He is so good at it and he would want to make you go insane. How did we get here?, I can't explain.

   I locked the car back and went in search of him.

    "Jeff!"

I called but no answer

     "Jeffrey!!!!!"

I called him in full yet no answer. I looked around the crook and corner of the place but could not find him. I was sure he has not gone far from here but where is he?. Why would Jeff want to irritate me like this?. 

    "Jeff I swear if I get you, you will pay"

I fumed and continued searching for him. I was literally going round in circle looking for him.

   "Good morning"

I heard behind, I turned and it was the lady who had visited late Yesterday. I frowned. I did not know she lives near.

   "Morning"

I replied in not order not to be rude.

    "I see you are searching for something, what is that?"

She asked. I am sure I am not obligated to answer any of her questions so I kept mute. 

    Seeing her yesterday,I kind of dislike her, I don't know if it has to do with the way she treated Jeff or it has to do with her person but whichever, I just don't like her.

   "I could help you search if you tell me what that is, I  might be of help"

My ears itches and I turned with a glaring look on my face, she saw my apprehension and stepped back by two steps. 

    "How are you sure that if I tell you what I am looking for that you will be able to help me, I have noticed you can't seems to mind your business"

   I tried calming down but my anger was in the increased. Her mere presence spike off something odd. 

    Have not been like this until two nights now, I feel your kind of person and it's seems that I am surrounder by enemies but why would Nora's neighbour be,this was how I felt towards the waitress yesterday at the restaurant.

   "I could help in so many ways, two good heads are better than one and I believe we are two good heads."

   She said with a small smile not minding my hostility towards her. 

   "I don't think you can help me though so do me a favour and leave."

   She maintained her ground and still smiled

    "You don't even know me and you are being this harsh, are you always like this?"

    "I don't need to know you before I react the way I want. Be careful"

I warned sternly.

    "Okay, I believe you are a friend to Nora, I invited her for my birthday dinner party tonight, hopefully you would come with her. Good luck on your search"

She said, smirked and left. She has got a lot of nerves and I must commend her for it, only that she is not a friend. I would want to know how close she is to Nora.

     Someone like her is not worth to think about, I have got more pressing issues and I should not stay here and be bother about her.

    I looked around once more and found no Jeff around. There was no point looking for him here when it's obvious he is not here. I walked over to where my car parked, lo and behold, Jeff was sitting on my bonnet waiting patiently for me.

   I stared at him with raised brows. I can't believe Jeff have been here along and I was searching for him.

    "Jeffrey, where did you go to that I had to search for you all over the places?"

 I asked him and instead of him to answer me, he got down from the bonnet and stood before the back door indicating for me to open the car. 

     When I thought I have seen it all, Jeff brings another side of his stubbornness. I like him a lot and I gave Nora my words to play cool with him and that is what I am to do.

    I unlocked the doors, opened the back for him and he entered with no word and I did not say anything either.
