Chapter 364 Fear Of The Unknown

    I walked up to him and helped him up looking so disappointed. 

   "Sorry sweetheart, I will behave from now on"

He apologized like a wounded baby.

   "You should,I would have said let me go with you guys but I have somewhere to be, so I would be with you both at the party."

  Jeff who had reappeared said and vanished again.

     "I am sure we would go now"

"Yeah sure"

Ben replied like it was not him who was obvious in pain like a moment ago. It took me a second to remember that he is a witch and he is not supposed to get injured which means he had fooled me to get my pity. It was too late to show my anger because I was in not in the mood.

   Wth nothing else to do, both of us left the bedroom and in no time, we were in his red car.

    Loveth's apartment was pitched black which means she has left. I looked at the invitation card on my lap and my heart skipped a beat. I shook off the uneasiness in my mind. I was going to grace a friend's party so feeling like this was not welcomed unless there is something that is to take place tonight which I am not aware off.

    "Ben, do you feel anything?"

"Anything like what?"

"Like something off, I can't tell but suddenly, I am feeling nervous or more like, having fear of the unknown."

He shook his head indicating he felt nothing.

   "You are probably nervous. You don't know the caliber of people invited so you are feeling nervous of meeting new faces. Just take a deep breath, you will be fine."

Ben's point of view.....

When we left her apartment, the feeling that has lingered in my heart since morning came back in full Force. I know I was not wrong because my instinct has never failed me. I don't know but I feel there is more to tonight then she and I know.

So when she voiced her fears to me I knew I was not the only one, she was feeling the same . I could only tell her know that I did not feel the same thing so not to increase her fears but I know that whatever that is going to happen tonight, it would be taken care off  without her knowledge. It's a promising I am making to her.

   I watched her through the rear view mirror and she was seriously sweating.

    "Nora, you are not supposed to feel nervous, breath  in and out, try it."

She looked up at me and smiled, within me I know she was faking the smile, she is not okay as she want me to believe.

   "We could turn back if you really don't want us to go. I am sure you can explain to your neighbour later that something came up, instead of you to be feeling uncomfortable which will make you not to enjoy the party."

   "No,don't worry, I would manage. I have given Loveth my words that I would be there, I am not the type that breaks my promise."

She calmly replied while folding the edge of her dress.

   "It's fine then. I trust you to be fine. We will soon be there"

  With that I put my attentions to getting us to the venue of the party.

Writer's point of view.....

   The ancient hall was filled to brim. Loveth was turning a year old and has decided to host up a party to mark the beginning of another new year in her life. To the humans, it was what should be and to the witches who understands that there is more to tonight, thought the party should be too.

   To lady D, tonight, she was getting her revenge because she has planned not to fail. She has done more than required rituals and she believes that tonight would change the cause of her life.

   Glamorous could not wait for Lady D to fail once again and she would have the last laugh.

    Jeff, who could not contain his excitement, watched them from up where he is. The foolishness of the witches was in the highest order even when it is clear to Lady D that she was going to fail, she still believes that she would win. That's faith but a faithless faith. 

  "You know full well that you are going to fail yet you still pursue it. The highest display of foolishness."

Jeff thought, he has done his part and the rest would be taken care off by Nature. He appeared in the car beside Nora and gave her a charming smile which gave peace to her soul.

   She was going to be fine after all.
