Chapter 366 Be Careful

Music after music, it seems endless and the reason best known to Lady D and Loveth was for the party attendees to get tired so that when they strike, Victory will be sure.

   Gina and Jeff, obvious of what has been going on in the mind of the two, know their every next move.

   When everyone had danced to their fill, the music died down and it was time for the celebrant to show herself.

   Loveth walked gracefully to the stage which was followed by clapping aviation from the people.

  The people wowed at how beautiful she is and most of the male gushed over her beauty. 

  Black witches are physically beautiful and you would not want to see their true self because it is irritating.

  The clapping died down and it was time for her speech.

  "Thank you to everyone who made it possible to grace my dinner party tonight. I know you all are wondering why it's a ball party instead of a dinner party.

  Well, dinner comes later. I thought it wise for you all to dance and enjoy yourself before you could want to sit down and expect what I have for you tonight."

She paused and scanned the crowd.

   Only a few people understand the meaning behind her words.

Satisfied with the reactions on their faces, she continued.

  "I am most grateful to the one who gave me life. Life has not been easy and adding a year together means more to me.

   My appreciation would not be complete without the one person who had been a friend and more, she is no other person than Noralla. Place ma'am make your way to the stage.``

Nora was not sure if it's her own Nora or another. She looked up to meet Loveth smiling at her.

  Nora laughed in her mind,

   When did she become a friend and more, the last time she checked, they were just neighbors who regard each other each time they see themselves

  Is Loveth indirectly seeking for her friendship or what?.

  She looked at Loverh and noticed there is something about herself, like she was challenging her to prove her otherwise.

   Ben noticed Nora's expression and looked up at the lady on the stage.

  The engagement ring on Nora's finger blinked indicating danger to him. The engagement ring was not just a ring, it was customized in a way that it would indicate when the wearer is probably getting into danger. He had told his mom and who had added magic to the ring after it was customized and Nora is not aware of whatever that is with the ring.

  She took a step and Ben held her halfway and whispered "be careful". He would not stop her because he had no clue of what would happen if he did so to be on the safer side, he had to let Nora go.

    Nora got to the stage and everyone clapped.

   To those who think Loveth is beautiful, Nora was more beautiful. All attention was on her and it turned out that she became the center of attraction all of a sudden which made Loveth to cringed inside.

  "It was just a matter of time and it will be over"

She thought

   "Thank you so much for showing me to the people. I did not realize I was who you told the people. It's good to be good because it pays. I wish you more years to celebrate"

Nora wished her and hugged her in the process.

   They broke the hug and a wine was brought to Loveth,

   "Get your wine glasses together let's toast to success"

She announced and waited for glass to be handed to everyone and when all had had their wine glasses, she proceeded.

   "A toast to long life and success"

"Cheers"

All chorused and took a sip.

   Lady D sipped hers at a corner and watched as everyone was drinking Merrily.

Glamorous was anxiously waiting for any reaction from the people.

  Jeff, who had a clue of what is happening, grinned widely together with Gina.

  Ben only concern was for Nora to come back to him but it seems Loveth was not ready to let her go. After the toast, she had took Nora to a corner and she was happily asking her anything to keep Nora talking while whatever that is the wine takes its effects.

    Rory and Xylie knew something was up and waited for any green light but none seemed to be coming.

   Nothing seems to be happening and Lady D panicked because she knows that if what she expects does not happen, she would bear the consequences.
