"You could at least eat that. You can't make her get you something else. It's not bad if you ask me, it's just that you are giving your brain the wrong information about the dish. Think about it"
I said and she quickly changed her mind. That was fast.
"You don't have to order something else. It's fine, I can manage this. After all, you start something in a day"
She said stopping Lucy from making another order. The lady screened her to see if she was trying to shy away or because of bills.
"See Gracie, I brought you here for a threat. You don't need to worry about the bills, I can handle it. I don't just want you to have something that will be bad for your system so if it's not okay for you. An order is just one call away"
"It's fine, really. You don't have to make a change. This fried noodle will do."
Lucy saw that her mind was made up and she shrugged off her shoulders.
"Alright. While you eat, can you tell me more about yourself?"
Lucy requested and it looks like Gracie was not ready to say anything because of the expression on her face.
"It's not that I had a bad childhood but can we not talk about it now, maybe later?"
I was disappointed that she doesn't want to talk about it, not that I don't know much about her but I love watching her do her things like I mentioned before.
She took another bite of her noodle and I watched her chew it then still trace my eyes on her as she swallowed it.
"Can you at least stop looking at me please?"
She said and I chuckled when she covered her mouth. Lucy looked behind to understand who Gracie was talking to but found no one. She looked back at Gracie,
"Who is looking at you, Gracie?"
"You won't believe it if I tell you, Lucy"
Gracie chuckled after responding.
"Believe what Gracie?, you are becoming weird"
"You have not seen anything yet"
Gracie muttered under her breath.
"What, did you say something?"
"No Lucy, I meant I was talking to myself"
Gracie replied and I was shocked, how she came up with something fast to say about who she was taking baffled me. I thought she was about to mention talking to me but who would believe her that there is a guy sitting near her. Lucy would think she was even mad.
"Alright"
Lucy replied and focused on her meal.
Their meal was taking much longer and I just sat there watching them eat. I had watched enough so I decided to leave, let me go wait for her at her place. There is no way she is going to take the whole day here. I winked at her and withered away
Gracie's point of view…
I rolled my eyes as he winked at me and left afterwards, I don't know why this fang boy has to follow me everywhere.
The remaining time, I had my peace finishing my meal.
We were done and Lucy paid our bills and we left, soon we were cruising on the highway.
"Lunch was not as fun as I wanted it so I think we will go for an ice cream, what do you think?"
She asked and I was not clear what she called it yet I don't want to sound like a fool so I agreed without much thought. I hope it will not be like the noodles I forced down my throat. If not that fang boy made me eat it, I would not have dared.
"It's fine Lucy"
I replied and she took a turn then I saw the lady again. This time around she was hanging on the bonnet still glaring at me.
I looked at Lucy and she was driving calmly which means she did not see the lady.
My skin irked and I flared up in anger and before I could realize myself it was too late, the front screen shattered into pieces and Lucy stopped the car immediately and looked at my knuckles, examining it. She was not after her broken screen but my knuckles. I looked at her, trying to figure out her mood, it was neutral. She was only worried about me. I looked up and the black lady was gone.
How in the world did I do that?
"I don't know what that is all about but it's okay, I will get another car soon."
