Chapter 438 Jeff And Ben

  "Mom, something is changing in me and it's making me act weird. I get mad easily and enjoys sad news"

And I was speechless after what she said.

"What's changing?"

"I can't explain. It's like this feeling of being powerful, that I can take the world if want to"

"When did you started feeling this way"

 "After the gown issue, I think"

She answered, it was obvious she is worrying.

   "I tell you what, I think it's normal. I would have to say your queenship's instinct is kicking. There is nothing to be worried about."

I told her and she smiled reliefly.

"For some moments, I thought maybe I was experiencing another change in my statement. Thanks Mom, let me go see Grandma and thank her for the gift."

   She stood up and smiled again,

"I will be on my way now"

She said and I left. Ben was right, it's this whole South thing. I understand her anyway. I was tempted to ask her if she would like the necklace but I decided against it. No way was I going to make her snap again. The presents she has are enough for her.

   I closed my eyes while a smile crept into my face.

   "Stop doing that you are scaring me"

"What now Jeff, what are you doing in my room? You didn't knock"

    My eyes were wide open staring at him.

"The door was wide open which means open invitation."

He replied and laid on the huge bed.

"Jeff, get down now and go. Ben is not going to like seeing you on his bed."

"Who cares, it's like you are forgetting that I am Ben."

     I stood up and stared at him for sometimes then sighed,

"Jeff, down now!. You are Ben I know but you are not him entirely, you are separate, that you have made yourself. I don't want Ben coming out and snapping at you"

   He looked at me and shrugged off his shoulders.

  "Let him do his worst, I want to seek for his trouble. Have not seen him since I arrived. I want to know if he is avoiding me."

  He said adamantly. Boys and stubbornness.

   "Jeff, you are unbelievable. Come to think of it, I miss you. Come give me a hug"

I said to him with a charming smile and spread out my hands for him.

   He climbed down and hugged.

"I know what you did, you did not miss me. You only wanted me out of the bed"

"You are so smart"

I ruffled his head. It was perfect timing for me because the next second, Ben came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, looking hot like he is not over forty plus. He did not notice Jeff and when he did, Ben flared up.

  "Jeffrey, out now!"

He yelled and Jeff chuckled.

"Come and make me"

Jeff told him and stuck out his tongue at him. I tell you, that was the situation I was trying to avoid. These two will never get along.

  And getting him, Ben was on it. He forgot that he was on a towel.

  The duo were racing round the bed like little children. I had to ask myself why Ben has to act like a baby in front of Jeff. I have never understood the reason behind it.

  "Ben and Jeff, can you both stop this? Stop acting like little children."

    I said frustrated. I should be getting ready for my daughter's party, not standing here watching two in one adult chasing after each other.

  "You know what, I give up on your case. When you are done racing round the bed. You tell me"

I said and walked to my dresser and sat down.

   I had a loud bang behind me and my guess was right, Ben fell as usual. He would never learn his lesson. You know that Jeff is air yet you chase after him.

I stood up and walked to him.

    "Jeff, will never be the end of you"

I said and helped him up

  "Where did he go?"

"Can't tell, he vanished like always"

Ben replied and groaned.

"Mr Ben Singh, can you tell again how old you will be by human approximation?"

    "48 of course, you know and you are asking. What's the essence?"

"Oh, for a second I thought you were 6 years old. When it comes to Jeff, I don't think you will ever learn. Sorry, you fell as always"

I mocked him and chuckled.

   "You look cute each time you are angry. I love you"

I was thrown off balance for some time. Was he not supposed to be nursing his fall? I shook my head and smiled, weird, right?.

  "I miss you too, come on. We have to prepare for Abigail's party now. Let's get it over with and hand her over"

Ben agreed with me.

  "Yeah, let's do it."

I pulled away but he pulled me.

   "Abigail and I could not have gone this far without you. Thanks Nora, you are amazing, don't forget that"

Something at the bottom of my heart leaped for Joy.
