Chapter 454 Forever Young

    We came to stop in front of this big room and he knocked, after a while we were invited inside.

  He opened the door and we walked inside. The room was similar to the one we just left behind.

   "Greetings to your mom and dad"

"Same to you"

His parents replied at the same time. I bowed at them and we were asked to sit down. There was a three seater chair by the side of the room. We walked towards it and sat down.

  His parents were doing nothing when we came on but it looks as if it was long since they woke up.

   His mom walked to me and stretched her hands towards me, 

"Take a walk with me"

  She said and I took her hand and we left the men behind.

   We took the route Theophilus and I followed through when we were going to his parents room but at the end of the corridor, we diverted to the left and we came outside. It was where I had run to, yesterday. The breeze was calming enough. All these while we were silent. I stole several glances at her. She was so beautiful and so young. You might mistake her to be Theophilus's elder sister.

   It looks like witches don't age. Mom has remained as I have known her, forever Young.

   "You see my dear, we all have a role to play in our lives. The first time I saw you, I could not find out who you are. I tried but failed. I felt useless that I am the witch princess and yet I could not tell who you are. But one thing was certainly, you were not an enemy. Looking at the circumstances surrounding you, you will agree with me that You were being protected from a force that has continued to raise its ugly head. You will be overwhelmed by what you are seeing, I understand because I was once in that shoe. I know how it feels for you to wake up and you found out that the life you believed to be yours was really not yours. You will ask questions and you will be frustrated when a whole new revelation begins to unfold. 

    But when you realize that the lives of some certain people are in your hands, you stop asking why and start asking how."

  She stopped and faced me,

" My story is similar to yours in some kind of way. While I found my destiny myself, yours found you

   You are a special child born to deliver all of us from this raging black witch that does not want to leave us alone. Last night I was able to see through your nature and why your identity was hidden from all of us. Just know that you are not all alone in this, we have got your back, all of us."

   When she was done talking, she turned and left. I was confused whether to follow her or not when mom spoke behind me.

  I turned to her and she pulled me into her arms.

   "I was not going to miss your marriage for anything. Although last night didn't go as planned. But I am glad that my efforts these years to make sure that you married the man chosen for you did not go in vain. I am deeply sorry, Gracie for hiding the truth from you. I have not been myself since last night. It hurts to see you go. It hurts to know that you know that I am not your mom. I can't bear the thought of sharing you with anyone but what can I do? You are going to find out one way or the other anyway."

   The love of a mother, so pure. If ever in the future I am asked to choose between the other woman and my mom. I will choose my mum because she was there my whole life, the other woman did not know a bit about me but this woman here has sacrificed her life to keep me safe. She loves me like a child even though I was not her child. It is not about being biologically related, it is the kind of relationship you share that matters. Anyone can be a father or mother to you, it doesn't matter who the person is. She will always be my mom, I won't trade her for anything. We have come a long way and she is the only person that will understand me forever.
