Chapter 28: Time To Meet Father
Alexia's POV
Me and my boyfriend got back home and he wasn't looking happy at all, it was if someone had tampered with his anger level. I don't know if it was because of what I did back there at the restaurant
"Why are so moody, is anything the problem or are you angry with me?"- I asked with curiosity
He didn't reply as he walked past me and went straight to the bathroom to freshen up, guess he was quite tired but that was not a good reason to ignore my question
"babe please what's wrong. Why are you acting like this, why do you always give me the silent treatment whenever I do something wrong?"- I yelled at him
"You disgraced me back there, you made me feel like I was dating the wrong person. why would you start making mockery of my friend?"- He replied
I was quite shocked when he mentioned that, I thought he has forgotten all about that, perhaps he didn't and I don't even know what to say. so I knelt down and beg him for his forgiveness.
I really love him so much and i don't like it when he gets angry, it breaks my heart. He was quite surprised by my action, but he only smiled and gave me a kiss on the forehead
"You know it's hard to get angry at you when you start doing all these forgiveness action of yours"- He replied with a smile
I was glad that he finally released a smile, I pushed him to the bathroom and we both had our bath together
"So what's your plan when we eventually get to Atlanta Georgia?"- I asked him while scrubbing my body
"Well, it's all Andrew's idea, don't know what he has in mind. he really wants to take a break from his parents, guess that are giving him a tough time"- He replied
"it's quite awkward that he still lives with his parents even when he his old enough to live on his own"- I replied
"That's kinda weird for me too, I actually rented a new house and parked out of my parents house when I turned 19. Don't know what Andrew is waiting for?
Perhaps he is not ready to start living on his own I guess"- He replied
"Then he should be ready to cope with all the rules and regulations. Imagine sending him to another country without his consent or approval. that's not fair at all.
My parents have no right to even try that on me, it's going to back fire, they know that for sure"- I replied
Micheal paused for a moment while trying to get some water to wash off the soap on his hair
"he has to manage it, the way he sees it"- He replied jokingly
I was so tired, don't even know what to do next, perhaps I will just scroll through my Facebook handle for a while before going to bed
"Let's play some games before going to bed, don't think I would like to eat any other thing. My stomach is quite filled to the brim"- He replied
"That's okay, let's play fifa 2021, I would beat you mercilessly by 8 goals to 1."- I replied with laughter
I don't even know how to properly handle the controls, talk more of winning eight solid goals in the game. But I guess he already knows that I am kidding
"One thing that I like about you is that you are always confident in yourself but nevertheless I will actually be the one to win that eight goals of yours. perhaps we would even set a prize money for whosoever wins"- He replied with a smile
"Okay let's do it this way, whosoever wins the game will take a prize money of $1000. That's the highest amount I am willing to stake"- I replied
He was quite surprised that I was actually serious about it
"That sounds fair and don't be sad if you actually lose to me"- He replied
We both walked out of the bathroom looking so wet with our body covered in white towels, he actually went to his drawer and brought out his pyjamas while I brought out my night gown
"So which console are we using, is it the PS5 or the PS4?"- He asked
Deep down, I don't even know how to properly handle a PS4 game pad not to talk of a PS5. Guess I will just stick with PS4
"Let's use the PS4, it's more easier to control"- I replied
He smiled for a while, obviously surprised by belief but my major concern was the $1000 I was willing to stake. I would eventually lose that money though but I will surely find a way to get it back from him no matter what.
He switched on the game console and we started playing for a while till I started feeling sleepy. And boom, he scored two goals before I could even realize what was happening. I was still at zero goals and I don't even know how to dribble his players.
He was quite good at the game, so I just reached out for my purse and handed him the $1000, I wasn't ready for game at first. Just wanted to catch some fun.
"here is your prize money, you earned it"- I said while handlng him over the $1000 cash
He looked at me for a while and he reached out for his wallet and doubled the money to $2000. I was really surprised
"I was only playing that game for the fun of it, don't need any money"- He replied with a smile on his face and we both kissed for some minutes before he grabbed one of my boobs and squeezed it hard like oranges.
Andrew's POV
After playing for a while, I felt sleepy again so I had to lie down and sleep for another five hours and the time was exactly 7:35am when I woke up. I walked down to the shower, took my bath and went straight to the dining room to eat breakfast
I met my mom seated right there, eating bread, eggs and coffee. I greeted her and took my seat, waiting to be served, she looked at me for a while before going back to her food
"What will you like to eat sir?"- The chef asked
"Just make some tea for me and I would also need fried eggs too with some fresh bread from the freezer

We ate for a while before my mom finally broke the silence, it was obvious she had something to tell me before
"Your dad will be arriving at the airport by 12:pm today, he wants to spend some time with you before traveling to Dubai next tomorrow"- she said
Deep down I didn't feel any form of excitement or such, it was just like a normal news to me. My dad never really had time for me, he was always busy even when I was in high school
We barely even relate well with each other and he would only want to talk to me when he has something important to say. My mom was the only person that was close to me during my high school days but now things are starting to fall apart.
"That's not a problem mom, I will quickly rush up some things when I get to work and I would be back home early for his visit, can't wait to get him out of my life and have peace"- I replied with an angry look on my face and she noticed this
My mom stared at me with disgust, she wasn't expecting that at all and I could swear that she was really angry by that last word but I didn't care
"I know your father hasn't really been close to you all these years, but he is trying to make things up to you this time"- She replied with a soft voice
I actually chose not to reply her, didn't want to start up another advice session. Have so many places to visit and I also have to meet up with Gabriel so that I can take him to the bank
"Alright I will catch you later mom, love you to the moon"-I replied
I walked to my car and drove out of the garage, meanwhile I would first need to drive to Gabriel's house to confirm if he is actually ready to visit the bank and cash out his big pay cheque. I had to drive for 45 minutes before I actually got to his house
"Is anybody home?"- I asked after knocking on the front door for a while
A lady answered and I was so surprised when I discovered she was Gabriel's mother
"Oh my, what a surprise. How are you doing, you are such a big boy now, oh time runs so fast"- She said while spreading her hands wide for a hug
I hugged her so tight that I could even perceive her nice perfume
"Please come inside and say hello to my husband"- she said
"Good morning sir, Gabriel told me everything that happened, hope you are getting better sir"- I asked while taking a seat on the soft couch
"Yes, I am fully healed by the way. my doctor confirmed it, so all I need is some time to recover from the pain, but I can do some major things now unlike before"- He replied
I was very happy to see that Gabriel's father responded to treatment very fast, more faster than I imagined
"How are you parents?, It's been a long while since I last set my eyes on them"- He asked
"They are fine sir, by the way where is Gabriel?"- I asked
"Gabriel, please come out quick, your friend is looking for you urgently"- he screamed
Gabriel quickly rushed out looking all set for the bank, I thought he would still be sleeping by now, but it seems I was wrong. We quickly shaked hands with each other while exchanging pleasantries.
His parents seemed to be very happy to see me this morning and it was if they were preparing for my visit.
"Wait let me get the cheque from where I kept it yesterday"- Gabriel replied and dashed off to his room
He brought out the cheque book and I could see the excitement on his father's face, they were all happy and I could imagine the things that this money would buy for them
"So I think we should start going now"- Gabriel said while leading me outside the door,
We got into my car and I turned on my Google maps for direction, I don't want to waste any time trying to find the fastest routes
"So how was your night, I know you won't sleep well because of the money"- I asked jokingly
"I actually didn't sleep well, I was thinking about it all night till this very morning. I even made a list on the necessary things I would get for myself with my own share of the money"- he replied while bringing out the list from his pocket
Amongst the list of items, I saw what appears to be like "get myself a new laptop". Perhaps we wants to go into an online business or such, that's none of my business though
We got to the bank after a twenty minutes drive from his home and we went inside to meet with one of the bank attendants
"Hello ma, please I would like to cash out the amount of this cheque"- Gabriel said while handing the cheque to the beautiful lady
"Alright sir, please sign on the form there and your money will be delivered to you shortly"- The lady replied while bringing out a form
Gabriel signed the form and added all the necessary details and while he was doing this, I quickly rushed to the ATM and withdrew an extra $50,000 that I would give to him. So that his own share will be a $100,000
And just then, he walked out of the bank with a huge pile of cash in a bag, he face was so bright and he was actually so full of joy. We got into the car and I handed the extra $50k dollars to him, his happiness knew no bounds
I offered to drive him back home before going the office, I needed to make sure his family got the money without any stories. On getting to his home, his mother was already waiting at the door and she hugged me for the second time while thanking me for my efforts.
"Mom, you won't believe that Andrew here added another $50,000 to the money that Kelvin's mother gave to us"- Gabriel said
"Wow, thank you very much Andrew, may God bless you so abundantly"- She thanked me
I spent a couple of minutes in their house before I went straight to the office
"Good morning sir, you are just in time for the board meeting"- my secretary called out to me while walking straight to carry my suitcase
"Which board meeting are you speaking off?"- I asked with curiosity
"The CEO instructed that all the staffs should be ready for a live zoom meeting in 30 minutes time, including you the manager"- She replied
I knew it was my father who wants to make sure that I was in the office, he keeps monitoring all my work, he doesn't give me peace at all. What a jerk
How I wish I could just leave his company and start up my own, how hard is it to start a game company?
"Alright, I would be there shortly, just give me a few minutes to prepare"- I replied back to my secretary with a smile
I got to my office and sat down while trying to memorize what I would say in the meeting, I didn't plan for this at all. Just then, I got a call from Micheal
"Hey what's up bro, how was your night?"- I replied after picking up the call
"This is not Micheal, it's Alexia"- a girlish voice replied
I was quite surprised to hear her voice on the phone this early morning, why was she calling me?
"Oh, where is Michael?"- I asked
"He is still sleeping, I just wanted to ask a little favor from you"- She said
"And what kind of favor if I may ask?"- I replied with curiosity
"Well, I wanted you to shift our travel trip to tomorrow. I just want to make it quick, I am getting bored"- She replied
"I can't, we will travel on Monday, so you just have to wait till then"- I replied
"I knew you won't agree"- She replied and hung the call
Don't even know how I should react to this, why does she want me to shift if to tomorrow?, I didn't plan for this at all.
