But let me see if she would send me a message, maybe I will reduce the amount just to be on a safe side. "Guys, please let's keep this issue aside for now and talk about something more important because i want to leave soon", I replied. "How do you mean bro?", Kelvin asked with a confused face.
"I want to travel back to New York tomorrow. I think we have had enough fun here, it's time to go home and reunite with our families", I replied. The look on their faces signified that they weren't happy with what I just said. "But do Alexia and Micheal know about this?", Kelvin asked. "No, they don't and that's why we are going to head down to the living room to inform them and see what they have to say about it", I replied and walked out of the room, they followed me and we got to the living room to see Micheal and Alexia watching a romance movie.
"How you doing fellas. Andrew your pizza delivery is here", Alexia replied, pointing to the pizza packs on the table. I quickly grab a stool and placed one pizza pack as dug into the food like a hungry lion. They all watched me in amazement, as I ate like someone who hasn't seen food in decades, I'm really hungry and food is the only language I can understand at this point. "I can imagine how hungry you are right now, just look at the way you are eating up the pizza slice like a cave man", Gabriel teased
I watched Kelvin for a while and I could see that he wasn't really happy at all, his facial expression makes it easy to conclude that he doesn't want to head back home tomorrow. But come to think of it, he should be more satisfied with my decision to leave tomorrow because he also has to support his mother's business. "I have something important to say guys", I called out to everyone after finishing my food. They all looked at me to see what I have to say, "Go on dear", Alexia replied
"I want us to go back to New York tomorrow. I think it's high time we head home and reunite with our families, we have spent quite some time here and I believe we all enjoyed it", I replied. They all kept quiet like molded statues, Micheal and Alexia were so surprised and it showed on their faces. "Why do you want us to leave so early, I thought we were going to spend at least two weeks. We have only spent a few days here"- Alexia replied with shock.
Micheal said nothing as he was still trying to find out if I was actually serious about what I just said. "Yes, but I told you guys before that my dad's company needs me urgently. I'm really sorry we just have to cut our vacation short", I replied, trying not make things more painful for them
"It's okay, let's start parking our things then. When are we leaving tomorrow?"- Micheal asked after a long period of silence. "We will leave as early as 7:AM in the morning, so we need to wake up early", I replied. The look on their faces was quite discouraging and I couldn't believe they will be this sad. "Alright then, let's go to bed. See you guys tomorrow morning", Alexia replied and dragged her boyfriend to the room, leaving me, Gabriel and Kelvin behind.
I laid my back on the soft sofa while I shut my eyes like a little baby. The way Kelvin and Gabriel remained silent sent some chills down my spine and I couldn't help but stare back at them if they would open up about what's bothering them. "Why are you staring at me like that", Kelvin asked. Gabriel walked out on us, guess he is heading straight for his our room. "You guys are just so sad about this and I don't really know why", I asked
"Should we be happy that we are going back home, leaving all the fun things that we can do behind?", he replied with a frown. "I understand but I just have to go back, you can stay back if you want. I will give you guys extra cash to enjoy yourselves or what do you think?", I asked hoping that his mood will change this time around. "Vacation without you won't be fun, we are one big family and it's not fun when one member is missing, even Alexia now likes and adore you as a good friend. It would be boring here if you leave us behind, so it's better we all move to New York together and besides, my mom would be craving to see me", Kelvin replied.
I was touched by those words of his and I didn't know when I let out a tear on my eyes. "Are you crying right now. Can't believe you still act like a baby", he teased. I cleaned off the tears and smiled again as if nothing ever happened. "I was touched, that's all. We should go to bed right now", I suggested and we both stood up and went straight to our various rooms. On getting to my own room, I met Gabriel lying on the bed, he as already Journeyed into the world of sleep so I quietly got to the bed and gently placed my head on the soft pillow

I woke up looking so tired and happy at the same time, I brought out my phone to check the time and it was 5:45AM. I quickly got out of the bed, took my bath and the noise from the shower woke Gabriel out of his beauty sleep, so he quickly joined me in the bathroom, thinking we were already late for the flight. "Oh no, hope we didn't wake up late again?", He asked looking so tensed. "Not at all dude, we woke up super early because the flight is just 7PM and we woke up by 5AM", I replied.
He became calm for a while as we took our bath, few minutes later, we went to the living room and I was shocked to see the others looking so prepared and ready to depart. "Good morning fellas, how was your night", Kelvin asked, directing his question to me and Gabriel. "It was awesome and lovely", Gabriel replied immediately. "So what do we do about this rented apartment, because we didn't even stay up to the exact time we payed for?", Alexia asked, she was absolutely right though
We didn't stay up to the exact period of time we paid for and I don't think the landlord will give me a little cut of the money I payed. "That's true but he is not here now, I literally forgot to call her yesterday", I replied looking quite confused. "Don't worry about that, I have already called her and she's on her way here", Kelvin replied, easing me of my worries. I took my seat on the soft sofa close to the table and I brought out my phone to quickly book a flight for all of us.
"What are you doing?", Micheal interrupted me, "I want to book our flight tickets", I replied. He laughed out loud and Alexia joined him, I'm getting a bit irritated with this outburst of laughter, somebody should tell me what's going on?. "Micheal already paid for the flight tickets of everyone here", Alexia replied after she became calm. I was quite surprised and happy at the same time, didn't even think that Micheal would do such a thing. "That's nice of you bro", I replied and gave Micheal a warm hug
"It's absolutely nothing. You were the one who paid for the flight tickets when we were planning to come here, so it would be unfair for you to pay it the second time when I'm here", He replied. And just at that perfect moment, we heard a knock on the door, "That should be the owner of this house", Gabriel said. I walked straight to the door to see who was knocking and behold, it was here
"Good morning Mr Andrew, trust you had a wonderful night rest", she greeted me with a smile on her face. "Yes and what about you?", I asked. "Mine was splendid. Your friend gave me a call that you guys were leaving, so I decided to come and get my keys and perhaps ask why you all are leaving so early when your rent hasn't even expired", she replied. I smiled and let her in so that she would sit down on the couch, it's not nice to keep an elderly lady standing like a soldier.
"We just want to go home and reunite with our families, we are just here on vacation. I initially thought we would stay for about two weeks, but something came up and it demands our attention back home", I replied. "Oh I see, that's not a problem then. Perhaps I would return some part of your payments since you guys only stayed here for just six days", she replied. I was quite surprised that she would want to return some portion of the money I paid for the rent even when I didn't ask her for it.
"You can keep it ma'am. Thank you for renting us this lovely house, you made our vacation in Atlanta Georgia so memorable and lovely", I replied and handed the keys to her. "If only there were more people like you in this world", Kelvin interrupted. "Oh, thank you for the compliment.", she replied
We booked a taxi and went straight to the airport this time, we didn't run. We just walked down gently because we weren't in a hurry this time around. The flight will take off at 7:30PM sharp buy before then, let me call my mom and inform her that I'm coming back home. "Hey mom, how was your night?", I asked immediately she picked the call. "It was okay and I hope yours was good too", she replied.
"Yes. I'm on a flight now and I would be in New York in a few hours", I replied. "Wow, I would send your driver to wait for you at the airport. Can't wait to see you my little prince", she replied "Me too, how is daddy faring?", I asked
"He's doing alright. And he is even sleeping right now, we both are and your call waked me up", she replied. "Oh, sorry about that then. Just tell him I'm coming home", I replied.
"Okay, no problem. But I thought you were going to stay there for two weeks?", she asked
"Yes, I initially planned to stay for two weeks but I figured out that dad needs me more especially now when the company is at his highest peak"- I replied
"That's thoughtful of you. Can't wait to see you", she replied and hang up the call. The air hostess came out and asked all of us to fasten our seat belts because the flight will take off in five minutes, we all obeyed her and fastened our seat belts. I looked at Micheal who was seating by my side, he decided to sit with me this time around.
Alexia sat with Kelvin and Gabriel sat with an old lady in the other row. "You spoke with your mom right?", Micheal asked. "Yeah, anything wrong in that?", I asked jokingly. "There's absolutely nothing wrong, it's good to know that you are still Mama's boy", he teased
The flight took off and we landed in New York, I checked the time and it was 10AM at the dot. We all went to carry our luggages and I saw my driver calling out to me, he was already waiting for me at the reception. "Good morning sir, it's so nice to have you back home", he said while taking out my luggages to the car.
"So how's it gonna be?.", Gabriel asked. "You can come with me and I all drop you home, Micheal and Alexia would order a taxi back home and Kelvin will simply call his driver", I replied
