Writer's point of view…..
Owen drove into Fabulous Hotel at White Hill. He had wanted to leave the country but changed his mind. His trip was unplanned so he chose to change Town.
White Hill is 3 hours drive from Reben Castle so he is quite far from his brother and he doesn't run the risk of running into him.
With his suitcase on the other hand and his keys in his right hand, he walked into the hotel.
He might be staying here for a few days before he figured himself out.
The few he passed in his way wondered why a good looking dude would have his face in immense anger.
Owen did not even notice anyone, he was far in his thoughts to see the eyes staring at him.
The front desk attendant greeted him cheerfully and he ignored her.
"I want a room, any available?"
He asked rudely and the smile the lady had on her face disappeared.
"Ouch, that hurts"
She thought with a dissatisfied look on her face,
"He is rude"
Owen tapped his finger on the desk patiently.
"Here sir, room 394"
The desk attendant handed him a key,
"Welcome to Sunset lodge"
She wished him, rolling her eyes. Courtesy demands she behave politely to their guest and that's what she is doing. She can't understand why people can't be nice to themselves.
Every day at Sunset, she meets hundreds of rude guests and it's beginning to tire her.
Owen halted in his tracks,
"Did you say Sunset?"
The lady nodded and forced her attention back to her desk.
Owen turned and walked back to her, placed his right hand on the desk in front of her and stared at her keenly.
He took in her appearance. The lady before was in a plain work suit with a creamy shirt underneath her. Her hair was low and he realized that she is not white like him. There was something about her that he couldn't figure his hand around.
"She is not more than 20"
He thought.
The lady attendant looked up and was surprised to see him staring at her like that. She had seen him walk back to the desk and had waited for him to say what he wanted and when she did not hear him talk, she lifted her eyes and saw him staring.
She raised her brows in askance,
"Why in the world would a Hotel be named Sunset lodge?"
He asked, amused. For a moment, she was confused. Is he just asking her that question?
"I don't know but from what I heard, the name Sunset in White Hill has a different meaning from the English word. It means Elegancy"
She answered as honestly as possible. His sudden interest terrified her. If he had come in polite, this conversation would not be weird as it is now.
Like she has always been told, people don't just change without wanting something so in this case, she strongly believes he wants something that's why he became nice all of a sudden.
"That's an irony. I guess since it means this here, it would scare the guests away. I was being curious"
He said and shrugged off his shoulders then turned to leave but stopped again,
"By the way, you look beautiful"
He complimented her with a wink.
She blushed and lower her face,
He was greatly amused by the act.
"She is such a kid"
He concluded as he could not stop looking at her sacrilegious lips.
"I am Owen and while I am here, we can be friends or more"
He turned his back and left without even getting to know her name.
Not feeling his presence anymore, she lifted her eyes and stared at his rigid back as it disappeared.
She sighed then pouty her lips,
"He did not even ask for my name. Such arrogance"
She sighed and returned to arranging her desk. She was working for the night and it is going to be a long night for her.
Owen collapsed on the bed after making sure he locked up.
"I messed up really bad bro. I hope that we both can seek for the peace we deserve. Whatever you choose to do, the world will not blame you for it. You are the purest person I know"
He mumbled tiredly.
This is the worst thing he has ever done and as it is now, he would need to be far away in order to forgive himself and maybe stop playing games.
