6 am on Sunday morning at Sunset lodge and Owen was wide awake. He had not slept through the night because his conscience could not stop pricking him.
He did not know how to manage his emotions and sleep so he stayed awake thinking of how far he had come with his brother.
Zain would do anything in the world to protect him. Back in high school, he was bullied, Zain fought tooth and nail to make sure his bully paid.
"We've really come a long way brother and I'm sorry I messed it up. You've been a great brother and I couldn't ask for a better brother I chose to pay you in a wrong way. I hope to make it up to you, I hope"
He sighed and turned over on the bed.
"If there is anything in the world, I would do it to appease you"
He murmured, that minutes a faint knock came at the door and he groaned,
"Is this how they wake guests up here?"
Owen fumed in his mind as her turned deaf ears to the Knock.
The person came knocking and he kept ignoring.
"The room service sir"
He heard. The voice he could swear is the lady at the front desk yesterday.
"What the hell is she doing at the door by 6am"
He thought as he moved to the door with half closed eyes.
"Damn you lady"
He pulled the door open and the lady attendant stood frozen at the door staring at his shirtless body.
"He is so hot"
She thought as she checked him out shyly. Owen did not put his pajamas top as he went to open the door because he forgot not that he had the intention of doing so. He opened one eye and watched the lady drool over him.
"Why wouldn't she check me out when I am hot?"
He thought proudly.
"Are you not supposed to give him the card now?"
Her subconscious mind reminded her why she was there in the first place.
She was already leaving the hotel when she remembered that she did not give him a card as one of the first time guest.
Sunset Lodge has a policy of giving their first time guest a give card which enables them not to spend a dime while at the Lodge. It can't be used outside the Lodge so it's useless when you check out.
But she could have instructed the other lady working morning shift to give him, she just found herself going up to room 394.
"Here sir, I got you your card. I forgot to give it to you yesterday. I hope you have a wonderful stay?"
Owen's two eyes were opened now, he was staring at her lazily with his body leaning on the door.
His hair was messy and his deep ocean blue eyes were trying stare deep into her heart. She could hear the beating of her as she stretched the card nervously to him.
"He should collect the card already and stop making me uncomfortable."
She desperately needed to leave his presence.
Owen sensed how uncomfortable she is and pulled his mouth up in a grin then slowly lifted his hand to get the card from her.
"Damn him, he is taking a whole lot of time"
She cursed silently and waited for him to take the card.
Owen was not in a hurry to dismiss the African beauty in front of him.
He has seen a lot of African ladies but not once has he spared them a glance, talking more of staying some few minutes with them but here he is reluctant to let the lady go.
"Is there something about her?"
The grin on his face has been replaced with interest.
His hands finally got to her but instead of collecting the card she had in front of him, he enclosed his hand around her and pulled her into the hotel room then jammed the door close.
Momentarily, the lady attendant was confused as to why he would pull her into his room and not waiting to know why he did. So after regaining her composure, she landed him a huge slap on the face, fling the card on his face then walked out of the room.
Owen held his cheek, the sting of the slap was still there.
How the lamb turned into tigress and charged at him in the next minute baffled him. Instead of getting annoyed, he was greatly amused.
"She is not intimidated by me as I thought earlier"
He said, pulling a smile on the side of his lips.
The door opened without invitation,
"In case you want to report me to the management, the name is Kulture."
Owen shook his head and walked towards the bathroom, ignoring the lady at the door.
