Zain, Harrison, Ethan and Nathan rushed out from the living room to know what's going on. They had arrived thirty minutes earlier and had been drinking. You know men and their way to handle grief.
The last person Jenny expected to see right now is standing in front of her. It would not have been a problem having her here but not in that situation Tasha had put them both. She knows things would never go well between them again and Tasha being here, she would try to convince her about her proposal.
Zain rushed to Jenny to examine if she is okay,
"Are you hurt anywhere?"
He asked with concern written all over his face.
"I'm fine Zain, just a little shock"
Jenny replied with a small smile.
Zain nodded his head and moved aside, she slowly approached Tasha and took her by the hands. Tasha smiled weakly
"Hi,"
"What are you doing here?"
Jenny asked in a low voice, she did not want others to hear her.
Zain stared at Tasha as he remembered the text she sent to Jenny one time about having feelings for Jenny. He understood Jenny's apprehensive attitude towards Tasha.
Harrison and the twins did not understand the tense between the two girls and concluded that something might have transpired between them.
"I just came to say sorry to my dear friend"
Tasha whispered, dotting from one end to another.
"You could have done that over the phone"
Jenny said and scoffed. She looked at Tasha for a moment before turning her attention to Zain,
"We are fine. I will just take her to my room if you don't mind"
Zain wanted to protest seeing that Jenny is not really uncomfortable but in order not to create more tension, he gave in and took his friends back to the living room.
Jenny turned her back on Tasha and started walking away, ignoring Tasha totally.
Tasha sighed and followed her.
"How did we get here"S
She asked herself as they walked in silence. The last thing she expected to happen is the attitude she is getting from Jenny right now.
Jenny walked into the guest room and turned around to face Tasha,
"I was getting here ready for mom but you should stay here while she and I use my room. Please feel at home and let me know if you are uncomfortable." Jenny said with a stern glare as she pointed towards the bed.
Tasha nodded and looked around the guest room and thought how great the room looked. A lot bigger than hers. The room she had had was a standard sized bedroom with an attached bathroom.
This place is huge and very comfortable as far as rooms go. It was definitely better than her room. This room has the same style and furniture but everything is so much brighter and cleaner.
"Do you need anything else?"
Jenny asked as she turned towards the door.
"Jenny, Em....wait.."
Tasha stuttered .
"Yes?"
She paused and swallowed hard.
"Can we talk for a minute?"
Jenny hesitated for a moment and then slowly nodded her head,
"Sure"
They both sat down on the bed facing each other.
"I am sorry about everything. We are still friends and letting you know how I feel, I did not do the wrong thing. I know you don't like girls but I couldn't help it. Don't be mad at me"
She said moving closer to Jenny.
Jenny sighed. She knew this conversation will probably not end well but she couldn't bring herself to stop her things are going.
Tasha's face showed sadness and pain, Jenny's heart ached and wanted to do anything to make it better.
"Let's forget that I ever asked you out and continued to be friends. We can't throw our friendship of so many years away just like that"
Jenny sighed and looked at the lady who was once her best friend. No matter how okay she feels it's to get back together, she knows what people like Tasha do. Lesbians don't give up on what they want and if she is to allow them be friends again, at some point, Tasha would bring out her obsessiveness.
Jenny hated that. She hated every single thing about it.
"Yeah"
She managed to say.
Tasha smiled but Jenny gave her a sad smile then got up from the bed,
"I should be leaving"
Jenny whispered.
"Oh! right. Can I get a hug from you?"
Tasha asked.
"Of course"
They hugged and Tasha held Jenny tightly. Tasha tried sniffing on Jenny's hair but Jenny pulled away before she could do so.
"I will get something for you to eat.
The moment Jenny left the room, Tasha's face turned sour.
"Do you think I am here to say sorry, naw. In case you have forgotten, I get what I want. I don't care how I am going to do it but you are mine."
