King Kong

Thomas picked his call at the third ring, I bet he was not expecting me to call him at this hour.

We both have our digits yet I had never called him for one day because I felt there is no need for that.

"Hey man, it's a pleasant surprise to see you call me,I hope I am safe?"

He said a little bit excited. I tried smiling but failed. He should see my face now.

"I am sorry about that. I am such a terrible neighbor"

I said, I wasn't trying to hide the fact that something was wrong and I don't know why. I always solve my problems alone but right now, I felt like sharing it with him. He is a man like me, I am sure he would understand.

"What's wrong, you don't sound so good, is everything the matter? I mean are you okay, is Jenny fine?"

And there he said it. He was really concerned.

"I don't know, she left by 5 pm I guess with my car and she is not yet back. I know Jenny too well and worst still, her phone is unavailable as it is right now"

   "Oh that's huge"

He said, concerned, "Does she have friends around, anyone you think she might have gone to?"

His voice was laced with worries. I am not with him to know how he is trying to digest the news but I know he is really worried.

"Not anyone I know off. She is new here so she has no friends around except this guy that likes her but if she is with him, which I doubt, her phone will not be unavailable. it's strange and it had me thinking if she had been kidnapped."

 He sighed at his end.

"At this point, I think something is wrong. Let's just keep hope alive, tomorrow if she doesn't get back by morning we will make a complaint. I am sure if she is really kidnapped, a message would have been sent by now. But anyhow, we are not going to think of anything bad happening to her."

He stated.

"Alright man, we will see how it goes."

"Okay then, goodnight"

And the call ended. I took in some breath and headed to the bathroom to at least wash my face.

It's unfair that this is happening. I had my share of bad luck in two days. It's not up to a day since I got her engaged, she has gone missing.

I returned a moment later wearing my pajamas.

I had plans for tonight. I had thought we would be packing for our vacation by now but here I am with my sweetheart missing without any clue how she is doing.

I met the bed immediately and I came in contact with something hard.

I soothe for what it is and I found out it is her diary. The one she brought in last night.

I had wanted to read it. I found my hand unlocking it.

The first page had the most beautiful message ever.

"I know it's weird to still love someone who ditched you for your sister. It's not my fault that I still love him very much. He is one of the coolest guys ever and I am not sure I will get over him. Even though I did not end up with him, He is still my KING KONG,The one my heart will beat for forever"

I smiled and closed it. I am sure I am going to find more of these on it.

"I am sorry, Jenny. I made a mistake and that's why you are where you are now. I should have looked beyond look, by now we would have had the best family ever. After all, I was fertile then but who would I allowed me marry a minor"

I thought sadly.

"Wherever you are, I love you very much and my love will keep your safe tonight"

I said hugging the diary and getting ready to sleep.

Writer's point of view….

Miss Celine and the twins were seen taken into a dark room at the same time Mrs Elina was being dragged in as well in a different room. The two women had been kidnapped along with the twins. They were all still unconscious, that's a matter of time and they will regain consciousness.

"Sir the operation has been carried out successful"

The guy in the dark alley said, obviously talking to his boss, conveying the success of their operation to him.

"That's great. By tomorrow, we will have Jenny dancing to our tune. Too bad she has to be forced to do what she doesn't like but she has to, she must"

The baritone at the other end of the call said.

The guy nodded, "off course" He muttered and hung up the call, walking into the darkness.
