Literally Over

Zain and Thomas met the trio at the entrance of the house as they were about to go out like Thomas requested. Thomas stared at Harrison and clinged, the aura he was getting from Harrison wasn't a good one and before he could understand why, Harrison spoke up.

"Hey Zain, where are you going, looking like you lost your life" Harrison commented looking concerned.

"I am just stepping out with Thomas, I did not realize you guys were coming over to my house"

Zain said, trying not to look like his problem.

"Oh, sorry about that. We came to congratulate Jenny on her engagement with you, telling you would have spoiled the surprise."

Harrison said and walked in leaving them standing at the door.

Zain turned to Thomas,"can we do this later?"

"Sure. When you are done let me know"

Thomas replied, giving him a gentle smile and left for his own house.

Zain turned on his heels and walked back into the house followed by Ethan and Nathan.

Harrison was seated before the trio walked into the living room. They took a seat sitting across from each other.

"I ask again, are you okay? You look so gloomy"

Harrison stated once again. Zain sighed and bowed his head" I am fine, it's nothing serious. You guys, this is unlike you, no call to tell me you were coming"

Zain whispered, anyone barely hearing what he was saying. Ethan raised his brows in confusion then exchanged a glance with his brother and returned his attention to Zain,"like Harrison said before, we are here to congratulate Jenny. We did not think it's necessary to tell you"

He paused, exchanging glances with Nathan again"Are you sure you are okay, Zain?"

He asked and Zain nodded then gave Ethan a forced smile, hoping to hide his distress."Yeah, I'm sorry, it's nothing important," he added.

"No, Zain, it's not nothing. Something seems wrong with you"

Harrison insisted, putting up a false facade, no one seemed to notice that he has been smirking since they got there.

"And by the way, where is Jenny, maybe she can tell us what is wrong with you?"

Zain raised his head up and stared at Harrison," She is not here"

  "Where did she go?"

Harrison asked calmly, Zain smiled sadly and bowed his head again" She left. She doesn't want the relationship again and at that, she gave me back my ring"

Ethan and Nathan were very shocked to hear that from Zain. Harrison put up a shocked expression but deep down in his heart, he was happy seeing Zain so miserable.

"It's just the beginning, Dear Friend. Don't cry too much because something that will make you shed more tears is coming "

Harrison thought, grinning for a moment and in the next minute, he changed his expression to that of someone who is sorry for his friend's misfortune.

"She can't just leave, did you do something to her again?"

Ethan spoke up, breaking the silence that had wanted to enveloped them.

"What do you mean? Must I always be the bad person"

Zain responded, his voice betraying some sadness.

Ethan gave him a sympathetic look, feeling a little guilty towards how Zain is feeling right now.

He felt he had failed Zain. He knew that at some point Jenny was going to leave Zain. The handwriting was clear. It was too good to be true that after everything Zain did to Jenny she would still love him like she did in the past. It was Impossible and he had at several times talked to Zain to get over Jenny, that even if he doesn't love Susan like he kept screaming, he shouldn't try to get back to Jenny but find another lady.

He had expected the break up but not soon enough.

"I am not saying you must be the bad guy but she can't just leave like that, not when you have already engaged her. Do you mind telling us why she left"

Zain sighed and looked at the three of them before sighing again. He decided to tell them, at least they might help get him out of this horrible state he is right now.

"She went missing or so I thought and by the time she appeared or rather before she appeared, a tape was sent to me, her sex escapade with a guy. She returned and told me she never forgave me, allowing me got engaged to her and breaking up with me is the way she wants to pay me back for leaving her before. I was a fool to think she would forgive me and as it is, I don't blame her. I am the one who f*cked up"

Zain explained, tears forming in the corner of his eyes and the others looked at him in pity. They did not look surprised at all.

"So literally, you both are over?" Nathan asked, putting his hand around Zain's shoulders.
