His Karma

   "I always had to be fine, Lucas, how are you by the way?" I asked.

I heard him huffed," Well I am not doing great. When I could not hear from you for a while now"

He sounded wounded and concerned at the same time and I smiled softly.

"You see, it was not my intention to stay away from my phone but I will rather not talk about it. I am so sorry that I kept you worried" I said honestly.

I waited patiently for his answer, I could feel a light of disappointment in my heart when he didn't say anything.

  A few seconds passed and he said,"I am not sure you are fine, Jenny. One can't suddenly wants to cut communications"

 He paused after some seconds" You should tell me what is going on. I really want to know, you know I care about you alot"

His tone suddenly changed and became more serious but still soft, his softest.

I let a breath escape my mouth, knowing that I would end up not telling him what is going on with me. I can't open my mouth and tell him that I was threatened to leave my lover, my supposed brother and that I had kids for that same man, Fifteen years old me. How possible can that sound?

"I don't think I can explain, Lucas, it's...it's complicated and I don't think you would understand."

I answered slowly, afraid of saying the wrong thing. I wanted to talk about this with someone else and that someone is my mom

"I understand"

He whispered so quietly that I thought I misheard him."Really?"

I asked, surprised. I was thinking he is going to persist.

  "Yes, I won't force you to tell me what it is but I am expecting you to tell me anyway so whenever you are ready I am ready too"

I nodded at what he said"Thanks so much, Lucas."

"You are welcome, take care. I will get in touch with you later" he ended the call.

I let my forehead hit the steering wheel, trying to calm myself down. I took some deep breaths before starting the car again. 

   I can't drive a long distance without my papers which means I had to leave this car at some point and find my way home but for now let me continue.

  As I turned to reverse, something caught my attention. An envelope which I had not noticed earlier.

  I turned the car off and picked the brown envelope with a shaky hand.

  it took me ages to break the seal and see what was inside and to my greatest surprise, my driving license and some documents were inside the envelope with a note" You are welcome with a smirked emoji. I know you will need your licence to get home and you can't get one today so I helped you. I am not doing this favour for you but for your sister, the love of my life"

   This son of a b*tch is sure getting on my nerves. 

  "Harrison, I promise you one day that I will take my pound of flesh."

I said through gritted teeth.

   My eyes were blazing red, anger coursing through me. I tried hard to control my temper but I could not. 

  An evil laugh escaped my throat when I pictured how he would be begging for Mercy the day I will be his karma.

   "You might have succeeded today, no doubt but don't be too sure about tomorrow"

I concluded, started the car again and zoomed off, this time heading home.

Writer's point of view…..

   Harrison stood outside the Zidat residence with a sweet smile on his face. Ethan and Nathan were behind him not noticing the smirk that is plastered on his face. 

Harrison had called them and made an offer to go see Zain as they always do, not knowing Harrison had a motive behind it. He knows Jenny has left Zain and he wants to be present to see how miserable Zain is feeling right now. He wants to secretly laugh at him.

  "I told you one day that I will make you pay but you doubted me,Zain. Who is a loser now, you. It's a pity that you have your enemy in the circle of your friends. My dear friend, this is just the beginning, by the time I done with you, you heart will be so shredded that you will not be able to pick a piece at of it then I will see how you will find love again, if ever you would want to"

  He thought and started walking into the building with Ethan and Nathan behind him.
