Betrayed And Heartbroken
"There is nothing. We can't change any of it. All we can do is live with it. but before, Mom has an explanation to do. She owes us one. She can't tell us he is alive then direct us to a file to check him up."
She lamented bitterly.
Michael knew she was right and knows that necessary explanation will help them understand the situation at hand. And in as much as he can't wait to know all that there is to know, it's best if the whole explanatory thing is left for later. His sister is sad, betrayed and heartbroken. She needs to calm down first.
"Alright, I agree with you. But then, we are not asking these questions now. You are mad at mom and it's understandable. I suggest you calm down before we ask. A bit of fresh air will do you some good"
He suggested while smiling gently.
Mitchell nodded in agreement, her brother was right. She indeed needs some fresh air. She had calmed down a little bit.
Michael took her hand and led her out of the Study, making sure to close it noiselessly. Soon both were exiting the main entrance without alerting anyone. Miss Setory did not realize that someone had left the house and Jenny in her room did not know what's happening. Though the neighborhood is safe, it's not entirely safe.
Both needed the air to clear their heads and see if they could understand their new lives that came with learning the truth about their father.
BACK AT THE COFFEE SHOP....
As Tasha lifted her face to see who had emptied the coffee on her, a slap landed on her cheeks deafening her momentarily. She lost focus as her head clouded. Her cheeks stung in pain. Her eyes were burning in fury and she could not wait to teach the person who has the guts to disgrace her like this.
She calmly wiped her face clean and patted her cheeks, soothingly.
She finally looked up and it did not surprised her one bit who she was seeing. She doesn't have a lot enemies so it has to be her. Ava Bailey, her rivalry. She would like to think Ava is that because that's what Ava thinks she is.
Her burning fury did not match Tasha's and it was taking a whole lot of energy on Tasha's part from descending on Ava. She wanted nothing other than to deal with Ava but she decided against it because of the camera. This is public and if she fights back, there is going to be more scandal that there is already.
They were glaring at themselves while cameras were flying around.
"This is to show you that I would not hesitate to do something to you if you ever come near my man again"
She finally spoke, warning Tasha to stay off her man. Murmuring started flying left and right.
"I know that it will be about a man."
A lady said, to the hearing of everyone and laughter erupted among the people present.
"Of Course. The lady is shameless to be dating the other woman's man."
Another female chipped in, causing another round of laughter.
"I heard that the lady warning her is about to get engaged and the other one would not let it happen. Some ladies are devil"
The first lady added.
Ava was satisfied with what she was hearing. Everyone is clearly on her side. By the time this story gets published, Tasha's little dignity will be ruined and Tasha knows this. It will affect her business greatly.
Tasha spat angrily and picked her bag, keys and proceeded to leave.
"You might have the last laugh today but soon,I will be laughing long"
She took a step and stopped,"Though I didn't have anything to do with Felix before but I am considering it now. Since he loves me, I will make him leave you. If we don't end up together, which I don't see happening, I will still be happy to destroy your relationship. Watch and see how this fire you have ignited will burn you"
All she said was in whisper. She would not want anyone to get wings of what she said to Ava. With her shoulders raised high, Tasha left Ava burning in anger.
Ava had not gotten what she had expected, which is Tasha's reaction. If Tasha had reacted she would have done much more than she did and she is so disappointed.
Now the media will just have a side story to publish.
