Gui Shan vs Jin Xu

It was finally the turn of Gui Shan, the event was already heating up.

Gui Shan climbed up the platform. Jin Xu had already climbed up earlier on.

With two members of the purple cloud wing qualifying the first round, their hopes were very high.

At this point in time, Jin Xu didn't actually know his stand or place in the upcoming match, but still he kept his hopes very high.

Gui Shan on the other hand wasn't bothered by the fact that he may lose, since he had already gotten some Qi energy from grandmaster Hun Feng.

The match between the two contestants was declared opened. They both stood in opposite sides as though they were waiting for someone to attack first.

For some minutes, none of them attempted attacking each other.

Then all of a sudden, Gui Shan made his first move. And to his surprise, Jin Xu evaded the attack.

Jin Xu having known that Gui Shan was no ordinary boy was careful and wasn't prompting any attack.

Before now, master Yang Jun if the purple cloud wing had taught his students a secret skill which can be used to counter formidable opponents and give them the upper hand.

This was the same secret art Yu Xuan used against Mao Li which made him win his round.

Jin Xu then decided to give a try on Gui Shan. But stepwise, he didn't just go attacking Gui Shan head-on.

He started by trying to take away Gui Shan's attention from the match and cause some distractions.

"Okay!!!...Gui Shan",

"I know you'll beat me, but at least let me give it a try and put it to test", he said.

Immediately after Jin Xu finished his statement, he attacked Gui Shan almost immediately.

But Gui Shan was apt to the situation and quickly evaded the attack. Gui Shan right from time always had a quick reaction to attacks.

But to the surprise of Gui Shan, that wasn't the aim of the attack. Jin Xu quickly used this opportunity and used the secret art he was taught by his master.

Jin Xu suceeded in getting a hit on Gui Shan. Which made Gui Shan almost stumble on the floor. Though he didn't suffer from much damage considering the amount of energy and strength he possessed.

Gui Shan got pissed off by the action of Jin Xu and decided to end the match before he becomes the victim.

To the surprise of everyone, it was as though Gui Shan's countenance changed and he became more powerful.

He then attacked Jin Xu using the skills he acquired during the period of training. It wasn't up to a minute before he defeated Jin Xu.

From the last skill Gui Shan used, everyone could tell that he had advanced to the first level in the stage of essence.

Even master Huang Ju was surprised as none of them were aware that Gui Shan had advanced this far.

All eyes were on Gui Shan at the moment. He was eventually declared the winner of the round.

After the second round, principal Ming stepped forward and declared that the third round should begin immediately.

*ROUND THREE*

In the third round, the contestants were;

'Bi Yao vs Hu Mei',

'Gui Shan vs Yu Xuan'.

The crowd seem spirited as the name of the contestants were announced.

First up was 'Bi Yao vs Hu Mei'. The crowed cheered them as they climbed forward.

The match was really going to be a tough one since it's between two strong opponents.

The two contestants both climbed up the stage. Hu Mei seemed elated as though the cheers were coming to him only.

Bi Yao on the other hand was fixated on doing her best to win the match. She didn't mind the countenance of Hu Mei.

Hu Mei cleared his throat and spake in satisfaction.

"Hello lady! I've seen your previous combats and witnessed your prowess", he said.

"But mind you, I'm different from the others and won't be going easy on you", Hu Mei said.

"You may be surprised at the outcome of the match", Bi Yao said in defense.

After this, Hu Mei folded his hands over his back as he moved around the platform. Bi Yao got irritated by his behavior and decided to strike first.

The match was now in motion. One could tell from their extraordinary moves and skills that they were fairly matched opponent and it would almost be impossible for one of them to go down.

The match seems to be in a stalemate as none of them was willing to surrender. Punches and kicks were flying into the air.

Even the crowd were wowed at their exceptional display of skills. As the match continued, Hu Mei was getting sick of the progress.

He now seems to be on the defensive side, with Bi Yao throwing kicks at him.

He almost fell down from the platform considering the last technique Bi Yao used. Hu Mei then decided to use his secret skill.

But before he realized, Bi Yao had aimed for one of his acupoint and suceeded in making his left hand numb.

Everyone cheered Bi Yao considering how fast she has advanced. This pained Hu Mei knowing he was the one at disadvantage.

He decided to give his secret skill all he got. Bi Yao on the other hand didn't stop attacking. But surprisingly to everyone, Hu Mei forcefully repelled Bi Yao with one attack.

The crowd went silent as no one saw this coming. Before now, Hu Mei had learnt this secret skill from master Yang Jun.

It took him a lot of training to master this skill. It was called 'Yellow palm technique'.

It makes use of a large amount of Qi from the surrounding. In this technique, the palm accumulates enough Qi that when released can forcefully repel anything on its path.

This was the skill Hu Mei used against Bi Yao which left her falling to the ground. Hu Mei was gladdened that he finally won, but he was stopped as he was about to give his finishing blow.

Principal Ming did this to prevent more casualties. Hu Mei was then declared the winner of that round.

Members of the purple cloud wing were shouting for joy consider the fact that one of their students made it to the finals.

Gui Shan on the other hand was lost in thoughts. "Wow! Who knows what other skills Hu Mei got up his sleeves", he said.

"I was lucky to have gotten some power from grandmaster Hun Feng", Gui Shan said.

Next up was 'Gui Shan vs Yu Xuan'.

The two contestants climbed up the stage as they were about to begin their match.

The purple cloud wing were up again on it. They cheered Yu Xuan right before their match began.

Same goes for the crimson lion wing. Ru Yuo and the other members cheered Gui Shan.

"Go...Gui Shan", Ru Yuo shouted.

Presently now, Gui Shan was the only hope of the Crimson lion wing as all the other contestants had been eliminated.

Yu Xuan at this point in time wasn't sure of how the match would play out but held his hopes high.

Yu Xuan took his stance as he was ready to give Gui Shan all he got. Gui Shan on the other hand had no thought of losing in the match.

Yu Xuan wasn't ready to lose immediately so he attempted an attack on Gui Shan to gain advantage.

But despite his efforts and none stop attacks, Gui Shan evaded all his attacks. Gui Shan skills seem to be at his peak.

Many people wondered at Gui Shan's fighting style as it was off the charts. The crowd then started screaming Gui Shan's name continuously as though he had already won the match.

Yu Xuan wasn't surprised by the turn out of things but decided not to play the role of a weakling before Gui Shan.

But before he attempt using his special move, Gui Shan had already sent him flying out of the platform with a punch.

Gui Shan himself was amazed at the skill he used, it was as though his punch carried a different life force like that of a wild wolf.

He felt the surge of power at that instant. "This must be my new power acting up", Gui Shan said within himself.

Everyone stood up and cheered Gui Shan as he qualified for the final round. Members is the crimson lion wing were already rejoicing because a new history would soon be written by Gui Shan.

They all prayed in their hearts that Gui Shan emerge as the winner.

Principal Ming stepped forward and congratulated the last two contestants for their progress so far.

"I'm very glad that the both of you have been able to come this far considering the opponents you faced", he said.

"I encourage you to keep up the spirit and make your individual wings proud",

"The finals begin now", principal Ming said.
