Determination

When she came of age, she decided to enroll for the Guiyi academy's entrance examination in order to gain more skills and become stronger.

Luckily for her, she passed the entrance examination and forged ahead, joined the purple cloud wing and trained unrelentingly.

He yearn to improve her skills and grow stronger was what kept her going. And here this is how far fate has brought her.

Meanwhile for Tan Ning, he decided to grow stronger and become a martial artist when he saw his parents murdered before his very eyes.

Master Huang Ju in one of his travels saw Tan Ning as the only survivor in a village where all the villagers were murdered by unknown assassins who used poison to commit the massacre.

Master Huang Ju took pity on him and brought him back to the academy. Master Huang Ju took him in as his own son and nurtured him to the man he is now.

This makes him forever indebted to master Huang Ju. Under the Guidance of master Huang Ju he learned the art of kungfu and swore to avenge his family and village massacre.

This was what kept him going for a long time. He trained so hard to get to where he is now. So the match indeed would be an interesting one.

The match began as the two contestants took their stances. The big question is 'who would go down and admit defeat?'

Chu Cao was the first to attack. Under the guidance of master Yang Jun, she have been taught not give her opponent the slightest advantage.

She attacked Tan Ning head on and non stop. The match was an interesting one as none of them seem to be on the defensive side.

Punches and kicks were flying in the air. They both had excellent footwork so they often evaded each others attack by flying or turning around.

They continued in their combat as the crowd watched in amazement. Speaking of two unbending fighters, one can say they are evenly matched.

Tan Ning knew that if he continues fighting that way, there would be no guarantee it him winning the match. So instead of his normal close range attack, surprisingly, he attacked Chu Cao from another angle.

Chu Cao didn't see this coming. Unfortunately for her, she lost to Tan Ning. Tan Ning was then declared the winner of that round.

Next up was 'Han Xui vs Qin Feiye'. The match was indeed going to be an interesting one since both contestants were female. They both had their significant personalities and well pronounced abilities.

Just like their fellow students, they flew up to the platform using Qi they gathered in their foot. They indeed made an opening as they displayed their martial skills.

Qin Feiye right from the time she was admitted into Guiyi academy, has been known for her unbreakable kungfu skills and diligent in training.

She had always trained so hard to get to where she is now. Even after the regular training routine for the silver eagles wing students, she tasks herself by undergoing extra training.

She put in lots of efforts into training in preparation for the Inter-wing competition. Now she is standing up the platform about to prove that her training wasn't in vain.

Meanwhile, Han Xui on the other hand always looked up to Tan Ning. She was determined to catch with him and prove that even as a female she wasn't a weak student.

Seeing that Tan Ning won his round, she was determined to also win. The match began in earnest as they both took their stances.

They each took a deep breath as they began fighting. Han Xui went on attacking Qin Feiye as she threw punches and kicks.

Qin Feiye on the other hand evaded the attack and countered every single one of them. To the surprise of everyone, she displayed excellent kungfu skills that they didn't imagine.

One could see her flying in the air, and jumping over Han Xui. The fight continued for some time and Han Xui seems to be on the defensive side.

Meanwhile, Qin Feiye didn't relent in her attacks but continued until Han Xui went down with a kick. Han Xui at this point couldn't believe that she just lost.

Qin Feiye was so happy she won and was able to make master Lin Fei proud. She was indeed full of hope for the next round.

*ROUND TWO*

The competition was in progress. The winners the first round still need to fight their way up to the finals and ensure they win. The contestants left for this round were;

'Chen Feng', 'Tan Ning', and 'Qin Feiye'.

The match began in succession. First up was 'Tan Ning vs Qin Feiye'. The two contestants climbed up the platform as they stood to fight.

Judging from their strength one can already tell who the winner would be no matter what betides. After some demonstration, Tan Ning defeated Qin Feiye and made it to the finals.

Although it wasn't an easy feat as Tan Ning had to give it his all. Everything was set as the crowd awaited the finals.

This was the last round to determine which wing is the most strongest and powerful. The students and everyone present seemed expectant as no one could foretell who the winner would be.

In the final round, we have 'Tan Ning' from the crimson lion wing and 'Chen Feng' from the purple cloud wing.

The crowd cheered the contestants as they climbed up the stage. The wings of the two contestants were shouting the name of their student.

Tan Ning and Chen Feng stood for a while as they glanced at each other. Chen Feng wasn't bothered by any possible outcome because he was assured that he would be able to defeat Tan Ning.

Tan Ning on the other hand was determined to give the match all he had acquired during the period of training.

The match began as the contestants began throwing attacks at each other. Chen Feng had a grin look on his face  as he fought.

As the two of them battled, one could tell that they were actually on a whole different level. One could feel the tremor of their battle.

Their kungfu skills were excellent, footwork, perfect. The match seems far from over as the two contestants began using Qi energy for long range attacks.

Chen Feng seem to be having the upper hand in the match, which wasn't surprising to anyone, considering the stories they heard about him. The two of them battled for a long time.

Tan Ning on the other hand was not ready to concede defeat without giving the match his all.

They continued like this for sometime and Chen Feng was already feeling weary. So Chen Feng decided to end the match as quickly as possible.

He decided to use the secret art they were taught by master Yang Jun. The 'Yellow palm technique'.

He was the only one in the purple cloud wing who has fully mastered the technique and it's use. He is able to give it a 100 percent output, meanwhile in Jin Xu's previous match with Gui Shan that was a 20 percent output.

Tan Ning knew he was done for, since it was difficult for him to evade that technique without losing or sustaining a minor injury.

Tan Ning decided to prepare for the attack. Meanwhile by this time, Chen Feng was ready to release the attack.

Tan Ning did his possible best to gather enough Qi around his body to weaken the effect of the attack on him.

But to the surprise of everyone, the attack was greater than what Tan Ning could imagine. Not only did he lose, he also sustained some injuries as he landed on the ground forcefully.

Chen Feng was then declared the winner of the final round thereby making him the most strongest student in the senior category.

Tan Ning was carried away for immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, you could see the purple cloud wing and the crowd shouting the name of Chen Feng.

At this moment, the atmosphere was filled with merriment for students in the purple cloud wing. Immediately Chen Feng was declared the winner, many generals and ministers were already citing their interest in him.

Some generals even approached master Yang Jun and stated that an appointment would be waiting for Chen Feng when he graduates to join their troop.

The Inter-wing competition was not yet over, the first phase of the competition has just been completed. Moving on to the next phase, principal Ming stepped forward to address everyone.

Principal Ming cleared his throat as he spoke...

"I appreciate everyone present here for seeing the competition to the point. We are about to move to the second phase having completed the first", he said.

"The second phase of the the competition would be an apothecary challenge", he said as he spoke further.

"In this phase, each student would be provided with cauldrons and necessary ingredients to make pills and healing elixirs",
