Mission Begins

"I think we should call it 'Xiaowuyi group', meaning foresight", Gui Shan said.

The four youngsters then joined their hands together in unison and shouted 'Xiaowuyi' as they threw their hands to the air.

After this, it created a new bond among them. They saw themselves as one team who needed each other to survive.

"So who would be the leader of the group?" Tang Tang asked.

"Gui Shan would be a good leader", Ru Yuo said.

"I have no objections either", Tang Tang said.

Bi Yao on her part was silent for a while. They all looked on her as they awaited her response.

"If he's capable, I'm in for him as the leader", Bi Yao responded.

They all clapped and cheered as they declared Gui Shan the leader of team 'Xiaowuyi'.

The team was what one could call a perfect team. Gui Shan had strength and was quick witted, Tang Tang had the lucky instincts, Bi Yao was immune to poison, while Ru Yuo was there to guide them during their mission.

Their quest began as they made plans to hunt for the infiltrators. As the leader, Gui Shan gave them a blueprint of the plan he had in mind.

"When I gave it a thought, I discovered that the best places for these spies and informants to hide is among the people", Gui Shan said.

"I don't think they would rather build tents or hide in cave. Perhaps they are living normal lives like the other people in the city",

"You just have to look for leads from the areas where people where once attacked with poison", he said.

"Also remember what master Huang Ju Said, if you encounter danger or any threat you can't handle, I suggest you launch the signal device to alert us your location", he said.

"But to make this work easy and enable team Xiaowuyi cover more grounds, Tang Tang you go with Ru Yuo, while I go with Bi Yao", Gui Shan said.

So the team split as they each took adjacent routes. Ru Yuo and Tang Tang took the left, while Gui Shan and Bi Yao took the right.

The youngsters moved carefully around the city considering the fact that they were still getting aquatinted to the city.

They stopped at various shops and kiosk as they walked down the streets. They asked some questions which the people around claimed to know nothing of.

The quest was seeming fruitless to Gui Shan. "If I had known, we wouldn't have split the group", he said.

"Do you care for some noodles?" Gui Shan asked Bi Yao.

"Yeah! I feel a bit hungry", she responded.

Not walking for too long, they spotted a food joint. They both took steps and got closer, finally they arrived at the joint.

They both took a seat. A man in his mid forties then approached them and asked what they would like.

"Sir how much is a bowl of noodle?" Gui Shan asked.

"5 copper coin", the man responded.

"Okay sir. Pls serve us two bowls", Gui Shan requested. The old man then went back and returned with two bowls of hot drizzling noodles.

"Enjoy your noodles lovelies", the man said.

Suddenly as the man said this, a thought struck Gui Shan's mind that the voice sounds familiar.

"Thank you sir", Gui Shan said as he concentrated on his meal. The both of them were enjoying their meal when the man came and asked them some questions.

"I can believe from your outfit, you are students of Guiyi academy", he said.

"So I wonder what may be making you guys show up in the street all of a sudden", the man asked.

Gui Shan gulped in the last noodle soup and gave the man a reply.

"Actually we out to view the scenery of Nirong city. We've always been away from the city and at such, we've been given opportunity to go round the city", Gui Shan said hiding their true intention.

"Okay, I see", the man said unsatisfied. Gui Shan could see dissatisfaction in his eyes.

Before now, they have been instructed not to divulge the secret of the mission to anyone outside the academy in order not to alert people from the poison tribe.

"But why would this man be interested in our mission?" Gui Shan asked himself.

"Perhaps he's just a regular stall owner", he said within himself.

Finally they were done with their meal and were about to leave when they suddenly remembered they haven't paid the man.

Without thinking twice, Bi Yao dipped her hand in her purse and brought out 10 copper coins which she was about to pay to the man. But Gui Shan quickly stopped her and requested that she keep her money for better things.

Gui Shan quickly took out 10 copper coins from his purse and handled it over to the shopkeeper.

Bi Yao was surprised that Gui Shan could be this selfless. Considering his family background.

Compared to Bi Yao, she never lacked anything since she was young and had more than enough since her dad spoilt her with money right from her childhood.

This action of Gui Shan made her see him from another angle. Feeling pity and happy and the same time, she thanked Gui Shan.

"Thanks for the meal", Bi Yao said.

"No worries, it wasn't much of a big deal", he said.

After that, they continued their quest. On their way, Gui Shan was still disturbed as to why 

the man asked those acute questions.

Tang Tang and Ru Yuo were not left out, they also did their best to get clues.

Tang Tang almost got frustrated as it seems the people dwelling in the cities are unaware of what is happening.

So after a long search, they headed back for the a academy. Meanwhile in the other groups we have;

'Lu Han and Wan Quaing' working together.

'Qin Feiye, Xiang Wu, and Wan Fei' working together.

'Tan Ning, Han Xui, and Mao Li' working together.

They had all been searching for clues but all efforts proved futile that very day. So once it was midday, they all returned back to the academy to report their findings.

Despite the fact that the joint effort of the silver eagles wing and the crimson lion wing didn't produce any results, the purple cloud wing proved their point.

While other members of the investigation party had returned, the purple cloud wing were the last to return.

Chen Feng alongside Chu Cao and the rest students were seen dragging in a man who was tied on both hands and seem to have suffered a little torture when he struggled to escape.

Everyone was wowed as they didn't imagine that the purple cloud wing would be this quick to get a culprit. Principal Ming as well as master Yang Jun was impressed by their actions.

On getting to the academy's main chamber, they threw the man on the floor. The man was seen struggling and pleading that he was innocent.

"Well done, students of the purple cloud wing", principal Ming sounded.

"Thank you principal. It's a pleasure to fight for the people, we deserve no praise", Chen Feng said.

"What did you find out about this man", principal Ming enquired.

"We caught this man trying to poison the water channel along the east end of the city", Chen Feng replied.

"No... I'm being cheated, I was just drinking water out of thirst", he said trembling.

"Oh...so you don't want to speak the truth. My students would never lie to me for the sake of favour", principal Ming said.

"Maybe you need some serious torture and torment", he said.

After principal Ming said this, he instructed his trained wardens to torture the man till he speaks the truth.

Everyone watched the man being tortured to his bone. After some time of torture, the man confessed.

"Pls... stop... I'll speak the truth", he said.

"I acted like I was being told. I'm not actually a member of the poison tribe", he said.

"I'm a poor man and have no money to take care of my family. I'm being paid to carry out this task", he said.

"Who is your leader?" master Yang Jun asked.

"I don't know, I'm the last man on the chain and I act as am being told. The man giving the poison always has his mask on", he said.

Principal Ming then instructed the academy's wardens to take him and throw him into the academy's prison, where he would be monitored till the master minders are caught in the game.

After this principal Ming addressed the students.

"Apart from this, is there any report it findings you discovered?" Principal Ming asked everyone of them.

They were all silent with none of them speaking a word. Principal Ming then understood that there wasn't any findings apart from the man who was arrested.

"I urge each and everyone of you to work together and see how we can fish out these intruders with negative intent for this city and stop their agend", he said.
