Davids placed the motorcycle in the garage after washing it clean though it was late. She looked up at their mansion, the lights were still on meaning that people were still up. She hoped that her parents were up and cheerful not the way she left them in the morning. She breathed in then out before getting into the house.
"Ding," she heard her phone beep from her pockets.
She flips it and checked who has texted her. There were two people. She quickly opened the first text, it was from Daniella. "What is she texting me about?" Sir thought to herself as she opened the text wager to see what it was about but to her surprise it was empty.
She looked at the second one and it was from Natalia. "Goodnight handsome,"
Davids smiled and decided to wish her a good night out of courtesy. She didn't want to lead Natalia on that's why she wanted to have dinner with her to tell her how she felt. Natalia was beautiful but she wasn't ready to make her one of her rebounds. Plus she is 18, she can be sued for assaulting an underage.
After responding to Natalia's text she moved inside the house. The sound of the music that welcomed him wasn't something she was expecting. She looked into the living room and her parents were there. Silent, watching the fire burn down just like the camp days. But there were not the camp days. The camp days were fun, laughter from mum, smooching from dad and my happy face as I tackled a steak, sometimes munching the crisps. Today, it was dark, gloomy, their dark clothes, dad swirling his glass of bourbon in his glass, mum hated alcohol and was settled with Wine which she always claimed was not strong as bourbon. Vicky was the first to see Davids. She woke from her sit but Mike didn't notice it.
"Sweetheart, you are home late?" Questioned her mother before kissing her cheeks and Davids leaned In to accept the kiss.
"Sorry mum, I was helping Damien with some things," said Davids, "how is he today?" Asked Davids looking at her father.
"He will be okay sweetheart, you want to say something before you take your food?" Asked Vicky leading Davids to her father.
Davids nodded and went to her dad and hugged him from behind. "How many of these has she taken?" Asked Davids in a worried face.
"Not much sweetheart, just little to forget about the sorrows," said his dad gripping her hand.
Davids knew her dad will be fine and the death of his friend wouldn't bring him down to the ground.
"Mom, take care of him please, I will get something to eat," said Davids kissing the head of her dad.
"Have you come up with a nice song son?" Asked her papa.
"I'll make it special dad, just like your friend, don't worry pops," chuckled Davids while moving into the kitchen.
"Evening Aunt," said Davids as she kissed Ann's cheeks.
"You are late and you'll have to wash your plates," complained Ann while placing done dirt inside a bin.
"Cone on Aunt, no problem, I will do it," said Davids as she watched her aunt arrange some things in the fridge.
"The house has been gloomy, I hate it this way, hope everything goes back to normal," complained Ann.
"Hey, it's gonna be, " said Davids while helping Ann arrange the items inside the fridge.
After dinner, Davids bid her parents' goodnight and went to her room to try and compose a song for Daniella's father.
She wanted it to be special, just the way her dad made him special.
Her room is boyish, grey and black. Music instruments were neatly arranged in an orderly manner, though her favourite one is the golden one in the living room.
She moved to the piano and brushed her hands against the keys of the pianos.
Suddenly her phone rang, she picked it but there was no caller id. She placed it on a loudspeaker and waited for the person on the other side masters to speak.
"Davids," came the voice she has been wanting to hear for some time.
"Dee!" Interjected Davids.
Dee: Yeah, seems that someone can't get me out of her head,
Davids: probably because you heart me and I've been looking for a way to revenge it.
Dee: that sounds sarcastic, I know you won't do it even if you found me alone.
Davids: haha, that's true I cant, why are you calling me at this time of the light Daniella?
Dee: I heard you are lying to people about being paid to sing for my dad,
Davids: because they don't want to work for free Dee.
Dee; they are using school equipment plus my dad was one of the biggest shareholders in the school, that is their job to sing Davids.
Davids: That attitude is why people don't want to do it for you.
Dee: I don't care if they don't Davids, even if they don't it will be good because the ceremony will be short.
Davids: whether you care or not, we are going to sing baby, so hold yourself tight because the song will make you cry.
Dee: I can't cry over that rapist!
"What?"
Daniella cut the call short making Davids wonder why would Daniella call her dad a Rapist
