85: "IF THIS IS LOVE, I DON'T WANT IT!"

"Liar, you are a pathetic lair!" Shouted Daniella while jumping towards Davids and shoving her down to the floor. 

"You think that if you lie about him I will leave him and follow your sick ass?" She asked while pressing her down to the floor. 

Davids wanted to fight Daniella, but she knew it would be silly for both of them to fight in a hospital. she thought she could let her think and understand her situation but she was not seeing the dirt in her eye. Daniella kept pushing her down and she was now seated on her stomach, at the same place she was burnt.

Davids was in pain but she didn't ask Daniella to stand up or move. She wanted to endure the pain, she wanted to get punished for expecting Daniella to leave her boyfriend to come running to her. 

She wasn't even listening to what Daniella was saying, she was far away from Daniella as much as she was closer to her. She allowed Daniella to slap her on each of the cheeks until she wasn't slapping her anymore.

"I hate you! I hate you, Davids," shouted Daniella while standing from Davids's stomach.

She had not realised that Davids was not even looking at her, she didn't notice that Davids was crying and her eyes were closed. 

She went on shouting at Davids and sat down on the floor crying. 

Davids opened her eyes and looked at her stomach but nobody was sitting on it. She struggled to stand up while groaning in pain and spotted Daniella seated on the floor crying. 

She knew if only she had not seen Daniella in that music room, or if she had not signed in for music lessons then she wouldn't have met Daniella and messed her life. 

She thought to herself of the many options. She could have stayed with Brian in New York and went on with her studies over there, or she could have accepted to go to the boarding school that her parents were suggesting. Though her mum was against the idea of her going to a boarding school, she still had an option of staying with Brian and he even got a bigger place so that he can live with her but she decided against it in the last minute.

"I hate you," Daniella went on ranting between her sobs. 

Davids didn't go to her, she didn't want to be pushed and maybe kicked anymore, she left her to cry and let out her frustration while she picked herself up and laid on the bed holding her stomach.

Daniella thought that Davids will stand up and move to her, hold her and tell her that everything was going to be okay. She was disappointed when she just went back and laid on the bed. 

She knew that she went to an extreme when she shouted at her and blamed her for everything. Probably Davids doesn't want her around. 

Fear gripped her and sadness started dancing in her soul. She thought to herself what will happen if Davids decided to sue her for hurting her on purpose, now that her mother had threatened to chop off her hands. She didn't want to imagine that scenario. 

She imagined not walking on the runway, her mother and her boyfriend will be mad and blame her for everything that will go down in her family. 

Seated on the floor, she stretched her head to look at Davids. She couldn't see her properly. She thought that she was asleep and has decided to leave her alone.

"Am sorry Dee," Davids's voice startled her and she suddenly fell on the floor. 

Davids did not stand up to look at what was going on with her. Instead, she pulled the sheets back to her body and adjusted herself on the bed.

"I am happy that Vin makes you happy, I am happy that you've found your happiness and I pray that you may have your happy ever after. I am not going to cause any problem between you and your family am going to follow my path and I will leave you to your life. Just two months and I will be gone like I was never here, you can now go," said Davids and covered her head with the sheets.

She was crying silently inside the sheets. Biting her tongue to prevent the noise from coming out. She didn't know what else to do. She had to let Daniella go. She might be the one obsessed and Daniella was not meant for her. 

Daniella was still on the floor, she thought to herself that this was the biggest mistake she has ever done. The words she said were like bullets thrown at Davids and she can't take them anymore because they have hurt her and crushed her totally 

The truth, she wanted Davids so much, but she was not sure if that is what she wanted right now.

If her mother and Vin were sure about Davids using her to get to their company then she didn't want to be associated with her. 

She wiped her tears, dried her eyes and stood from her position. She didn't know how to say goodbye. She was undecided whether to walk to Davids or just walk to the door and close it with a bang behind her?

She decided to move towards Davids. She had removed the sheet from her face and wiped the tears from her eyes dry. Her body was curled in facing the hospital wall.

Daniella lifted her hand in hesitancy and touched her locks. She feared that Davids will push her away but she didn't. She was calm and focusing on the wall.

"I guess this is goodbye then, it was good knowing you Davids Black," she finished and placed a kiss on top of her head before walking out of the door.

Davids wanted to say something, but she only whispered 'goodbye,' under her breath as she heard Daniella's footsteps fade away from her ears. 

A big lump built itself in her throat, and she wasn't able to swallow the saliva. Tears were streaming down her face and she couldn't control them.

"Davids," she heard Brian's voice but she didn't turn around. She felt the side of the hospital bed deepens and she knew that he has climbed in bed with her. 

Just like her first heartbreak, she called her to come and pick her up and he was there within a second she came around and took her home.

DAVIDS'S P.O.V

Today, on my second heartbreak, that was still at the parking lot waiting to start, he is here, I know what she will say, "she is not worth your salt."  

But she didn't, instead, he encircled his arms on my waist and cuddled me like the little sister I was. 

"If this is love, I don't want it!" I cried in his arms as he cooed me. 

"Shhhh, it's gonna be okay baby, it will be okay," said Brian, the big brother. 

I didn't want to do anything, I didn't want to talk, sing or even listen to anything. I just wanted to lie here and be this way. Just let everything else move. Like being in space, no gravity, no push no pull, that is what I want. I want to be suspended in the air without doing anything. 

"Mum and Dad have taken her home and dad one is waiting for us to go, but if you are still in pain, we can sleep here then wake up tomorrow," told Brian startling from my dreams.

"This place is sad and gloomy, I want to go home, I know Ann has made us something nice," I told him as I sat on my bed and looked to where my clothes were. I removed my hospital gown and wore my clothes. 

"Jesus, use the washroom," shouted Brian while standing up to make the hospital bed.

I just laughed at his statement and went on dressing.

We headed out and found my dad waiting for us in the hospital lobby with the phone to his ears. When he saw us, he ended the call and came rushing towards us.

"Sweetheart, are you sure you are okay?" Asked my dad.

I hugged him so tight and nodded my head. I didn't want to say anything.

"Okay, let us go home papa, am hungry," Brian said when I extended my little reunion with my father.

"What?" Asked dad laughing at Brian, "I thought you guys ate just one hour ago," said my dad while leading the way.

"I have a huge appetite dad and that was just an appetizer, we must eat Ann's meatloaf today," cheered Brian while getting in the front seat with my Dad.

         I settled myself at the back and laid my head back. I watched as all the castles I had built, the empire that I had nursed and natured crush down on my eyes. Everything I ever wanted to be swept away in front of my eyes, I was ripped off my name, my title and my family we trolled.

"Sweetheart, wake up," said my dad and I jumped up from the car.

"It was just a dream are you okay?" He asked and I nodded. 

"A dream, that felt like reality!"
