123: THIS WON'T CHANGE THE LOVE!

"You don't need to do anything just look at her and let her be!"

Look at her and let her be? That was the toughest word to comprehend. He was still weighing his emotions.

He was divided between feeding his dream their painkiller and kissing their ass and just letting everything be the way it is. They say, 'it is what it is.'

That is what he wanted.

He excused himself and went to the washroom. Vicky and Andrew were left on their own looking at each other with surprised faces. They didn't know what was playing in Brian's mind.

Andrew was sad. He didn't know things will turn this way. For him, this moment has never been drawn in his mind. Meeting Catherine and introducing her to Brian. No, that that has never played in his mind.

Today, being, in Minnesota, he had a range of feelings. The town nearby had been his home. With his parents and if he wanted to revisit that place he would have just used the subway and it wouldn't even take more than an hour to get there. He will walk and go to the same place he used to live with his parents. Maybe they have done some little adjustment but he can't forget the place.

He brushed the thoughts about his painful childhood back into his mind and focused on the situation at hand. A place where no one thought he could reach, a situation where everyone wants to reap but most of them don't reap because they feared to plant after laughing their farm.

"Do you think she will change Brian's mind? Like, poison him?" He asked Vicky silently.

Vicky had moved to the washroom door and sat there. She was also worried about Brian's state.

Before she was a world-known fashion designer, she was a nurse in the hospital. Her husband, Mike had just started his first business and was showing some growth.

Vicky was one of the midwives to who we helped deliver Cathrine. She made sure she delivered her safely and even sew her after the delivery.

But after the delivery and both the mum and the dad had seen the baby, hell broke loose, Cathrine's parents arrived and ashamed Andrew in front of the whole hospital. She still remembers how Andrew was heartbroken. He didn't want the baby at first, all he wanted was to cry and just die.

Vicky heard the nurse talk to him, she was not sure about her decision but she decided to offer and help him. She was afraid everything won't work out as she imagined but at least she will have saved a soul even for a day or two.

Andrew didn't know who had helped him. Not until Mike visited him where they had rented for him and saw that he wAs still a young father needed guidance. He brought him home with him.

Vicky had to resign from her job to help take care of the baby, the business was not bringing more money so they couldn't hire a nanny to help. Mike knew what he was asking of Vicky was hard but that was the only way they could help Andrew out.

Since Vicky was the mother and the many, Mike took Daniel to martial arts classes. He was full of anger and he thought this we the best play to channel his anger and frustration.

Every evening when everyone was home, Andrew could just look at his son and sob, he was afraid of even holding him.

"I feel like I won't be able to be a good father," he would say once handed the baby. He never touched him just nodded her head to indicate no.

Vicky had no objection. She would sleep with him on the bed as Mike took the sofa that was in their bedroom and Andrew to the sofa in the sitting room

Every day, Vicky and Mike slept in fear that, they might wake up in the morning and find Andrew gone because he didn't want the baby. After some time of being around, they learnt that he wanted the baby but still had that fear of being left.

Mike, give him some basics and taught him that the only way to live with his son was to accept him the way he is. Whether without a mother or even if he doesn't want to. He will still be carrying his blood and bearing the name he chose.

After a few classes with Mike, Andrew warmed up to the baby. In the evening, he would help Vicky carry him as he made them super and sometimes sleep with him in his room since They had changed houses because of the business we do fine.

It was through Brian that Vicky focused on the fashion industry. This had been her dream ever since she was a child. She loved clothes, the material and texture but she didn't go to fashion school, instead, she did nursing in hopes of getting more money and joining the fashion school of her dreams in London.

What she didn't know, the model was in her veins, playing with colour and material was her favourite game and she didn't need any fashion school ro to be re best fashion designer.

She used to draw when Brian was sleeping sometimes when he wakes up he would still join her while drawing.

She first began with newborn babies clothes since she admired every cloth that Brian wore while he was young. When shade the clothe and made Brian wear them and posted them on social media, everyone loved them. She got orders and she had to look for a nanny to help in looking after Brian.

She found Ann, who was passionate about babies. She noted her and focused on the clothes but she used to complete her won by 2 so that, she can have some more time with Brian.

At the age of five, Brian was all bubbly. He would want to be near Vicky at the time. Sketch on her book and Vicky helped him identify the hidden talent she had.

Sitting here by the door, she wondered whether Brian will still be the same Brian even after seeing the mother.

"Don't be worried, he is a grown-up and he will choose wisely just the way you thought him.

Andrew nodded and went to a seat near the counter. He looked at his watch then at his phone but there we still no reply from Cathrine.

Brian was still pacing up and down in the washroom. She had thought about a million ways in which this meeting can go and so far he hadn't decided on how he wanted it to go.

He wanted to shout at his mother for not being around when he needed her here, he thought that was stupid. He had a wholesome family while growing up.

The blacks, those are his family. They feed him, took him to expensive schools. He went to the same school as Davids, they bought him expensive things without even asking him to eat and took him on expensive vacation without a second thought.  They were hos disciplinarians, whenever he did a mistake, they made sure he was punished.

Davids was like a sister/brother he would never ask for any brother or sister. She looked up to him and he took the responsibility of being his mentor and Davids has never looked at him like some legitimate child!

His career has been tremendous, thanks to her other Vicky. She incorporated him into the class and showed him everything he needed to do. At the age of seventeen, he had signed deals with highly paying beams in the world, Adidas, Jordan, Gucci and Fendi.

How would he forget about Ann? The best chef. Made his real just the way he like, bathed him when mom Vicky was not around and helped him with his homework.

Andrew, his dad. The man who stood bravely to make sure that he was brought into this world even though he was afraid at one time, that didn't bother him know. He loves him and can't change anything to get a different biological dad.

"They are all I need in my life," he thought as ye admired the person in the mirror.

"Everyone is proud of you, you have come from far and you are going to make it," he said to his reflection on the mirror as he adjusted himself before walking out of the washroom.

Upon seeing him. Vicky and Andrew stood from their seats and moved towards him.

He moved and hugged both of them at once as a lone tear, found its way down his cheek.

He held their hands and looked them in the eyes one by one.

"I am happy where I am. I have amazing parents, amazing brother/sister I don't know any fits her better," they chuckled that part before he moved on with his speech.

Placing her hands on Vicky's shoulder, "you have been the most wonderful mom. Leaving your job to make sure I am okay and safe, the times I disturbed you, threw your drawings on the wall, stumble on the sketches you didn't leave me, I am grateful."

To his dad, "Dad, Andrew, I love you so much, I don't know how I say this but I do papa. No one is going to replace that, just don't replace me with a younger sister or brother because I will hate you all."

"Seeing my blood mother is not going to change anything about my love for you guys. I am going to look at her, just see her face, maybe I will be saying good but to these dreams and demons."

They both hugged him again so tightly before they let him go.
