CHAPTER 54

Fred has always brought in new girls for sale and Sade never had any problems with that until the day that he brought Lota home. Seeing the girl and hearing her tragic story touched Sade's heart as it made her remember her own daughter who she lost to the brutality of Fred's son. Fred left the little girl with her and within the years that the girl was with her, she tried her best to teach the girl everything that she feels she needs to know to be independent. Sade thought that doing this will free her conscience as her conscience kept pricking at her every time she sees the little girl.

With time, Sade became attached to Lota and couldn't bear what she knows was coming for the girl. She knows that any girl who comes across Fred has been marked as unfortunate already because it is unfortunate events that will befall them. Lota was always a happy girl who was filled with life and dreams and sometimes when she tells Sade about her dreams, she couldn't bear to listen to them because within her, she knows that none of those dreams will ever come true.

Sade's aunt was part of a cult called the lady vampire and her Shadows. Her aunt's position as the lady vampire was passed down to her but she told herself that she will never have anything to do with that cult as she felt that if she joins them, there will be no difference between her and Fred. She believes in the good that we can do with our words rather than violent actions. Sade told herself that since she has been with Fred, she has never asked him for any favour and she hoped that if she asks him for one favour after years of being together, he should be able to grant it because what she was asking for was not much.

All sade wanted from Fred was Lotanna's freedom. She tried lying to Fred that the girl was not ready yet but Fred wouldn't buy that excuse as he was ready to take her to the person whom he has sold her to already. Sade never knew that Fred had sold the girl a long time ago already and when he told her, she promised to pay back the money that the person paid. In fact, Sade promised Fred to let her deal with the buyer as she told him that she will like to renegotiate and pay double the money that the previous buyer had paid but Fred wouldn't listen as he told her that his reputation in the bloodline matters a lot to him and he will not ruin that because of her. The night he came to take the girl away, Sade begged him on her knees and even cried in the process but Fred's heart has been turned to stone already as no amount of plea could change his mind.

After the girl was taken away, Sade went back to the cult and assumed her position as the leader as she decided to revive the cult once again and face the bloodline. She felt that the bloodline was the one that empowered evil people like Fred to continue perpetuating their evil because they believe that they have a backup in form of the bloodline. She knows that they cannot defeat the bloodline but one thing was sure for them which they knew that they will cripple the bloodline and that was exactly what they did. She and her girls kidnapped Fred and killed him in a very gruesome way while they also punished his son for his evil deeds.

 The first time that Fred saw Sade, he was very shocked because he never believed that she was the one called the lady vampire. Initially, she came to live with Fred because she wanted to study his every move but she wasn't ready to take her revenge on him yet as she wanted to do it slowly. After what he did to Lota, she couldn't hold back anymore and decided to speed up the process of her revenge. Sade used her knowledge of the bloodline and her pawns amongst them to attack them and she also promised Kamsy that she will come back for the girl and she will get her.

Sade and her girls have been watching Lota and Kamsy for a long time and they have planned how they will take the girl away but what they never anticipated was that she will give birth to twins so on the day that she gave birth, they decided to take one of the children away and leave one behind fur Kamsy. According to what one of the ladies said that he bought one and got one free so they will left the free gift for him as they took the boy and left the girl behind. Sade promised herself that she will not rest until Lota fulfills her dream of becoming a successful medical doctor and helping to treat the poor. Because of this, Sade has gotten a doctor to help her wipe out certain selected memories and by the time that Lota will wake up, she will wake up a different person as she wouldn't remember her past life. She will only be left with what they tell her about her past and the fake pictures that they will show to her also.

Dr Charles walked up to Sade and told her that what they are about to do is illegal because they were supposed to seek the patient's consent before doing this but he is only getting himself involved because of the long-term relationship between them and also her intentions towards the girl because he is not also in support of her being married at this young age. He told Sade that the process of wiping off her memory will not be complete until three months time because they do not have the necessary equipment to do that fast as they are doing it and secret.

Sade does not care how long it takes, as long as it will be successful and her little girl will go back to school and achieve her dreams, she is okay with it. The little baby has been crying for a while now and Sade wondered how such a little boy will have the strength to cry that much. She tried feeding him but all was to no avail as he kept crying. Finally they had no choice than to take him to his mother and placed him on her chest just to see what will happen and after a few seconds he stopped crying.

Sade and the doctor looked at each other and were short of words as she told the man that she has only heard this in stories before but has never seen it happen. She told the doctor that even when she heard stories like this, she sees those stories as cock-and-bull stories but witnessing it now has made her believe that there is a great connection between some babies and their mothers. Seeing this began to make her wonder if leaving the other child behind was the best idea as she hoped that the same thing is not happening to the other child.

 Kamsy did not understand what Samira was talking about because he and Joshua thought that his whole family was with her, so hearing her talk about a group of people coming in to take his wife and son away was new to him. He looked at the way she was laughing and did not believe what she was saying so he told her "Samira, I know that you feel offended about what I did to you. I am the perpetrator here so why don't you make an exchange? I want you to take me and return my family. You can do whatever you want with me but just return them." 

Samira looked at him and shook her head "Kamsy, I hate what you have become. You are now so soft that even a jelly is harder than you are. This was not how I knew you to be and this was not how I wanted you to be. Sadly for you, I do not have your family in my possession and even if I did, I wouldn't have released them because killing them will give me much pleasure and make you stronger. It will take you back to being that brute who I fell in love with and not this thing that you are today. Your friend Joshua cannot tell you the truth because the two of you are birds of a feather. Back then, ladies admired you for the bad boys that you were but suddenly, some stupid girls walked into your lives and turned you into girls like them. Even girls still have more balls than the two of you. Alex betrayed you and you let him live. I was rescued from your hands and you never came after me. These few mistakes of yours will cost you everything that makes you happy because I am your Grim Reaper." 

While Samira was talking, she was busy moving the rope up and down making the baby swing and cry. The baby was not wearing any clothes on and Joshua was just hoping in his heart that the baby doesn't get pneumonia or even die. He saw that his friend was out of words so he decided to talk to Samira himself. "You claim to have balls but I can see that your balls are for killing children and not facing adults like you. What are your greatest accomplishments so far apart from scamming people alongside your father? You dare to stand there and talk about people being soft when your father himself went soft before we killed him as he begged for his life. I made sure to record it and if you would like to see the recording, feel free to stop by the hospital when you are less busy killing children and I will show it to you." 

Samira went crazy when she heard Joshua talk about her father in that manner. "How dare you mention my father? Who do you think you are to talk to me that way? Linda ran away from you and you couldn't locate her but I would like to tell you that, that was a piece of cake for me. I made sure to look for her because she is my insurance of getting out of here in case things go wrong. And don't worry, you will have a daughter because we have checked the sex of the baby and I have made her promise me that she will name the baby Samira." Josh could not understand what Samira was talking about but one thing he noticed was that she brought out her phone and dialled a number. She made sure to put the phone on speaker as she talked to Linda. "Hey Samira, it's been a while. Where have you been? I thought you promised to be here when I give birth to my baby? You know that my baby will be due very soon and I really really need you my friend to be here for me because you know I have no one else except you and I don't know how I would have fared all alone in this place without you." 

Samira laughed into the phone and told Linda that she will be there for her baby's delivery because she knows that it is very important to Linda as it is also important to her. They spoke for a while on the phone before Samira disconnected the call and laughed more.

Right there, Joshua began to put the pieces together and realised that Samira went ahead to become friends with Linda who has no idea what Samira is capable of doing. Linda sees Samira as her friend who was there for her through thick and thin but she never knew that Samira has plans of using her baby as leverage against Joshua and every other person who will come after her for the killing of Kamsy's child. Joshua felt a chill run down his spine as he couldn't believe how vile this woman is and he blamed his friend for bringing her into their lives because if Kamsy had not met and gotten married to Samira, none of this would have happened.

Alex walked up to Samira while she was busy telling Joshua her tale. Kamsy saw Alex and regretted letting him live. "Alex, after you betrayed me and I showed you mercy, so this is how you pay me back. Do you know that I let you live because of the relationship that your father had with mine? My father owes your father a debt of gratitude and I guess I have repaired it already. I regret the day that I let you go and I also regret the day that I recruited you because I thought that you will be better than your father but it's true that the Apple never really falls far from the tree. It is not surprising to me that you would team up with this vile woman here to hurt my innocent child who never offended you." While Kamsy was talking, Samira was busy dancing and humming a song to herself.

 Alex decided to go with the flow because he if he keeps quiet and doesn't reply, Samira will suspect that there is something wrong so he decided to reply his former boss by telling him "what ever thing was between you and my father is none of my business. It is only fools like you that hold on to debt of gratitudes and in case you never knew, I am my father's child only by blood but I do not recognise him as a father because if you truly know me as you claim, you will know that I was brought up by a different family and the man of that family is the person that I recognise as my father. And as for your child, she is not innocent because she has your blood flowing through her veins. It is true that I apared Samira's life and also rescued her from you which is something I do not regret doing as I will do it over and over again if given the chance." As he was talking, he brought out a pistol with the speed of lightning and short Samira on her hand as he quickly held onto the rope that was holding the baby. Before Samira could react, he shot one of her legs and apologized to her. He quickly carried the baby and as he was walking towards Kamsy and Joshua, he turned around and said "I am very sorry for doing this to you Samira, but I will not let you hurt an Innocent baby. You should have known from the start that I will stop you from going ahead with your madness." He walked up to Kamsy and passed the baby to him as Samira screamed from where she was laying on the ground.
