Two hands were placed on the wooden ray outside, as two pairs of green eyes stared at the rise of the early morning sun. The wind constantly touched her skin and she shivered from Its touch. It's been a week since they've stayed here, she is fully recovered now and already looking so plumpy. Antonio didn't lie when he said he would make sure she recovers. She only feared she would get more fat in the upcoming weeks and she didn't need that.
She's been at peace in a little cabin secluded from the rest of the city, enjoying her vacation more than ever. She wished they could stay here forever, just away from the world and its troubles, away from her past mistake which has come to hunt her now. But that cannot happen, Antonio had a huge business to take care of, and he had his family and life there.
"What are you doing here all alone." Antonio stood next to her holding the ray too as he also stared at the rising sun. He wished he knew what was going through her mind at the moment, her thoughts. The past few days have been a rough one for him especially, the Stans have really bitten more than they can chew this time, only that they had no idea Ben Stan was already helping Antonio clear the news online.
"I was thinking of visiting my parents again before we leave." Bella started for his eyes to glow. This was all he wished to hear from her, he knew letting her cool off was the best option.
Bella had no choice, she couldn't stay angry at the people she's lived with all her life, she couldn't hold grudge against the people who took good care of her when she had no one. The people who replaced her parents and took her as their own even if they picked her up on the street, lost and alone. She wondered why she couldn't recall what had happened to her, who her parents are when she was not even a baby.
"That's a good idea, when are we going?" Antonio asked. "We? No, you're not coming with me Antonio I want to see them alone." He smiled. "So when are you going to let me see them?"
"W... When I want you to." She hates it when she stutters before him, she should be bold with her words and decision rather than being timid around him. "Hmm, that's a sweet idea." He let out. The next sound from the twins got them back into the cabin, they had to go separate one of their mighty fights again.
"What is it this time?" Bella asked, "She wants to shave Lulu's hair." Jasmine screamed holding her toy. "She cut Barbie's hair first, she cut my Barbie's hair." Jojo cried out showing off her balled-haired toy. It was a funny scene to laugh at, Bella's mouth twitching from one angle to another almost made Edmund burst out too. It was indeed a funny scene but as a mother, she had her responsibilities to handle. "I'll get you a new toy honey no need to cry."
"No, I don't want another," Jojo said firmly with a frown. Antonio couldn't bring himself to wonder how they got toys here, he made sure they left all of them at home. But then he recalled his wife buying them toys on their way back from the hospital two days ago. He sighed staring at both his daughters.
"Get another toy for Jojo Edmund, take them out to pick the toy of her choice make sure they don't have a similar toy," he warned before walking away with his wife. "I'll take you to your parents tomorrow, for now, we both have a dinner date to prepare for." She met his gaze astonished. "Okay," Bella said before stepping back into the room.
Bella blushed at his words, she couldn't believe Antonio would still ask her on a date. He said it before Edmund, before their girls even if Jojo and Jasmine had no idea what they were talking about. It was romantic to her, she could feel butterflies in her stomach, or was it their baby kicking?
If Antonio asked her on a date, it means she has to prepare for it. She had fewer clothes with her so she would follow Edmund and the girls shopping. After breakfast that morning, Antonio left the cabin so did she and the girls.
.
They all arrived at a fancy boutique on the outskirts of the city. "Mummy, that's a beautiful bag." Jasmine pointed from outside of the glass-built boutique, staring at a blue bag at a counter. "Oh, the pink princess bag is beautiful," Jojo announced staring at it too. They both placed their face on the glass staring at the boutique.
"Welcome to Bougain Madam." The sales assistant with a lovely accent welcomed them in. She was young, with neatly tied brown hair, her blue eyes were welcoming and her smiles heavenly.
Bella, the girls, and Edmund got into the boutique to get what they needed. There's no way she'd shop without getting stuff for them and Antonio, it's not just her if she doesn't get stuff for them. Jasmine went ahead to pick up the blue sea bag she had seen earlier as Jojo went for her pink bag. Both girls are bags and shoe lovers. "What do you want Mrs. Willan?" Bella met her gaze in surprise.
"You know who I am?" She asked touching the clothes before her. "Of course I do, who doesn't? You were all over the news last week and I was like people should let you be. Everyone has their flaws, and making it to the top is not always a piece of cake. When you have an opportunity you should grab it." She said.
Bella had nothing else to say to her, for the first time in a long time she was dumbstruck. She didn't know to feel insulted or praised for her act.
"This will look so good on you." The sales associate said bringing out a red dress as if knowing her words were not accepted by the woman in the boutique. The last thing she wanted was to bring bad reviews to her boutique. "I'm sorry Mrs. Willan if I may have offended you."
"No not at all, I just don't like talking about myself," Bella said. She decided to get the rest of her needs in the shop since they had everything, rather than stepping into another boutique where she'd be recognized or insulted again. She didn't like the red dress so she went in for the blue one.
It wasn't ball shouting but classy enough for her, for the little time she's spent with Tina, she's come to know a lot about fashion. Impersonating Lilo helped a lot too, cause every time she got to pick new clothes for each event for her.
After getting everything she needed, she stepped into the car where Edmund went to get icecreams and cakes for the girls who would not stop demanding it, along with their toys. She made sure not to eat a thing cause of her date tonight so as not to get full before time.
Stepping back into the Crip, she noticed Antonio's absence in the Crip and wondered where he must have gone to. Maybe he was preparing for their dinner date and wanted to surprise her. It would have been more romantic if he did, but then she's seen things like that happen around her and in movies so she doesn't want such.
She stepped into the bathroom for a quick bath before stepping back into the room for her makeup. She would have called Tina for tips, but for now, they've seized being friends after confessing her setup. If they did this to her, what else can they do that she isn't aware of, their betrayal is unforgivable.
She stared at her reflection before the dressing mirror, letting out a sigh she picked up her foundation. It took her a while to get the perfect look but she pulled it through, even though she couldn't believe her look. She tied her hair into a perfect style, all she wanted tonight was to look the best for Antonio, he deserves it. He's been the sweetest to her, he's been so understanding enduring all of her mess.
She stepped out of the bedroom fully dressed, "You look so beautiful with that baby bump." She smiled staring at the one person she's longed to see all day. He was in a dark blue suit as if they had planned their appearances. His hair was neatly styled backward. He had left all day to look his best for her as she did for him, she was touched.
"You look wonderful too." She responded with the sweetest smile. "Shall we?" Antonio stretched his hands for her to take as they both stepped out of the crib...
