CHAPTER 84: ARGUMENT.

After lunch Ivana spend with them until evening. She was waiting for her uncle, maybe he could help her find some evidence. She still had high hopes that her uncle might help her on an account that they are still relatives.

Her uncle was no where to seen, so she decided to leave since she had spend the entire day away from her matrimonial home. Since in the morning they were not in the good terms with her husband. Ivana wanted to leave so that she can prepare his favourite meal to make up to him.

"Aunt, Mish l think l will take my leave now, l don't want to get home when Paul had already arrived."

"Are you two having a fight?,her aunt asked.

"No, l just don't want to answer some questions when he asks"

"How about you call my in-law to pick you up on his way home"

"That will be inconvenient for him,besides l came with a car. I don't want living it here, so l will just drive myself home"

She hugged them goodbye then left after saying "Don't forget to let me know when you find something important"

"Don't worry,l will let you know immediately when we have any information" Aunt Elizabeth said. She entered her car and drove out of the gate as the two ladies waved to her a good-byes.

"Are you goin home this early? Let's go and hung out. We need to acquittance ourself with the business mogul so that they can invest in the company" Mr Mukhongo tried persuading her.

"Do you know some or you want to get wasted today?" Mrs Wechuli asked.

"Their is nothing wrong with me or us getting water today, how about we go to club oval. I heard that there are politicians and mogul who like having there drinks there"

"Really, but l wanted to meet my friend today, you k..."

"Relax your friend can wait, let's hurry up before the club is crowded"

When Ivana arrived home, she found her husband already at home. The way he looked at her when she entered the seating room made her shiver in her dress. He was looking at her with scrutinizing eyes.

She approached him wanting to hug him but Paul raised his hand signaling her to stop.She stepped back as she eagerly waited for what he had to say.  He raked his hand through his hair, silently exhaling a heavy sigh.

Ivana was impatient "What's the problem?l told you l was going ho..."

"You are my problem Ivana,what time is these, you are a married woman, this is when you are coming back?"

Ivana was silenced and blinked at him. He had never raised his voice at her like this before-,never.

"It's a quarter passed seven, do you have a problem with me coming back home at this time or you have a problem with me paying Mish a visit back home?. I don't understand you, l had informed you the purpose of me going back in the mansion, was is an offence? answer me Paul" Ivana groused.

"If you are forgeting you are married woman now, you are not supposed to go back to your home anytime you want. Also l am not supposed not to find you home when l come back"

"Says who? You know what l have had enough of this baseless argument"

She left and went to her bedroom to get changed before going to the kitchen. 'Its a high time l become a career woman, l can't be a house wife Paul if this is your rules' she thought.

"Hey ma'am do you need something?" The maid asked her.

"No,mmh what are we having for supper?" She asked.

"The boss said we should ask you when you are back"

"Is that's so? Then take the chicken out there in the fridge. We will cook chapati and chicken"

The maids were surprised when she put on the apron and took out the wheat flour ready to knead. The head maid had to intercede with her first, she didn't want to be in trouble because of Ivana's presence in the kitchen.

She remembered one day when Ivana was still new in the mansion. One morning she had prepared tea without the maids knowledge. Paul had quarrell them and treatened to suck them if they won't do their work.

"Ma'am,l am sorry l don't think you should be here in the kitchen,l don't want boss to quarrell us you know" she pleaded with her.

 She smiled at them before saying to her "Don't worry you won't be quarelled. Just Prepare what l ask you to"

"Are you sure ma'am?"

"Yes, Milka"

Back at Ivana's Mansion.

Mish and her mother were having appetisers as they waited for the main meal. When they were swimming Mish noticed Ivana getting tired easily and with the wait she had recently gained. She knew that something is going on, she wanted to confirm it to her mother if what she was thinking was correct.

"Mum didn't you notice that Ivana has changed in terms of body shape?"

"What you mean?"her mother asked.

"Is she pregnant?" She dropped the bombshell.

Knowing her daughter to well she will go around celebrating of becoming a godmother soon if she confirms her question. That might not go well with the first time mother's. If Ivana haven't told them yet, it means only two things. One, maybe she doesn't know yet and two, She haven't found the perfect moment to share with them good news.

"Hahaaa Mish if someone's gains weight does it mean that she is pregnant?l don't think so it's just weight gain baby, as you said earlier maybe marriage is good to her" she said.

'l know you mum, you just don't want to confirm it. I was not a fool in my biology class,l know she might be pregnant, hahaa l will be a goodmother soon' she laughed inside her head.
