CHAPTER 228: IGNORE HER

On her way to the Alika apartment, Ivana's mobile phone rung. When she checked the caller id, she ignored and continued driving after thirty minutes she arrived at her apartment. 

She was so happy that she had managed to get away before her mother in law spots her. The second thing was that, she was happy becauseilka had bathed her babies the second time and put them to bed.

When she entered the house, she heard Milka singing lullaby to her babies. That was her happiest moment of being a mother. She tiptoed to where she was and admired Milka's gentleness to her babies. She will ever remain grateful to Milka. If not for her she would  be still mourning the death of her other baby. Also Ivana wouldn't have known how to bath a new born baby.

Milla felt the presence of someone, when she lifted her head and looked up. She come in eye contact with Ivana who smiled at her then said.

"Thank you Milka for taking care of the twins while I was away," Ivana said after admiration.

Before Milka could answer her, they spotted Mish walking towards them too. Mish scoffed then said, "Why are you thanking her, that is her work. I think you are paying her to do that," Mish commented.

Ivana looked and Milka, she just smiled at Mish without saying anything. Ivana then decided to stand up for her

 "Mish I know that, but I don't think a maid or my personal maid can be as hardworking, loving and always cheerful as Milka. So sometimes let's appreciate our workers, you don't know what they always go through. Especially when you are always at work, maybe leaving early in the morning and returning late in the evening, Saying thank you to her is the least that I can do," Ivana said.

Mish ignored her and walked to the kitchen, she was tired of Ivana always being on Milka's side.

"Put them to bed and go to the sitting room and relax, you can watch any favourite TV show that you want. I will help Mish in the kitchen, just ignore what she say to you," Ivana said to Milka after kissing her babies on the forehead.

"But ma'am Ivana you should be the one relaxing, let me go and help her," Milka said.

"No Milka, you have done alot and you have helped out with my kids today. You are tired and I need you to relax because tomorrow we are going for baby christening and dedication," Ivana said.

"Woow, you already talked to the priest? I wish I can be their godmother," Milka said.

Ivana looked at her then smiled," Dont worry you will be the godmother to my next child," Ivana replied. 

Mish overhead them talking about the godmother so she hurriedly walked to them. "Hey are you going to christen them? I know I am the godmother so who is the godfather?," She asked while looking at Milka who was not even bothered with her presence.

"Don't worry someone special to me," Ivana said.

"Too bad that Mike wanted to be the godfather even before you were pregnant. Now that he is not in the country he will miss that," Mish said regrettably.

"Talking of Mike hope you have not told them anything concerning me Mish," Ivana warned.

"We are sisters Ivana my finger are crossed I won't dare tell him anything. I know when I will tell him about you he is going to inform your ex- husband. You know they are staying together," Mish told them.

"I don't care about them, just keep my promise, that is the only important thing to me. What were you cooking anyway? I am hungry you know," Ivana said changing the story.

"What do you want to eat? I just prepared indomie. I thought that Milka was coming to cook for us," Mish replied.

"No, Milka is taking care of my babies so I will just cook. What do you want to eat?" She asked ready to go to the kitchen.

"Wait a minute, what is her work anyway? The babies are already asleep, can't she cook Ivana?" Mish asked.

Ivana ignored her as she turned to Milka and asked again. "What do you want to eat for supper?" 

"Anything edible I am not chosy when it comes to food," Milka answered Jokingly.

Mish was waiting for Ivana to turn to her and ask what she wanted to have for supper. But she was surprised when Ivana ignored her and walked to the kitchen. She took the chicken that was in the fridge and started to cut it in small pieces. She was disappointed in Mish that everytime she want to pick an argument with Milka.

Back in the sitting room Mish was embarassed with the fact that Ivana is on Milka's side everytime she said something concerning her. So to cover up the embarassment, she decided to strike a conversation with Milka.

"Let me ask you something, why are you always lazing on your work?. You are the maid of this house, you should be doing everything. You are being paid by my sister so don't complain when you get fired," She said smugly.

Milka decided to ignore her just the way Ivana have told her. She knows that Mish is always Jelous of her and they don't get along very well. So the best medicine to her is ignoring her or silence.

"I am talking to you Milka, why are you being paid If you don't want to cook?" Mish said.

"Ma'am Mish, you are directing your questions to a wrong person. Kindly I am requesting you to take them to ma'am Ivana. I know she have perfect answer to your questions," Milka said as she stood up and left.

She carried the babies that were sleeping in the baby carrier to their beds. She better reads to them a story even if they are sleeping than sitting there with Mish.

'Really, you have grown horns right now, let's see who will be fired when I paint your name with dirt,' She thought as she stood up and walked to the kitchen.
