TO MY ESTEEM READERS KINDLY LEAVE A REVIEW FOR THE NOVEL. AN HONEST REVIEW I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY NOVEL.

The next morning, Mr. Mukoya woke up very early. He prepared himself very first as he started trake towards the company. He regretted why he didn't listen to Slyvia of what she had to say. He had to do this because he didn't want his house to be locked by the landlord.

He arrived very early than expected in the company. The workers were yet to report to the company. So he waited in the reception desperately, if you could have seen him, you could have known that he was in a certain form of predicament.

After one hour of waiting that's when the workers started to arrive at the company one by one. They were supposed to check in with a teller machine that shows a worker has reported.

Slyvia was astounded when his father called her, she was surprised to see him seated and the reception with a brown envelope in his hands.

"Sly...Slyvia," he called.

Slyvia thought that her ears were playing tricks on her as she didn't think that voice belonged to her father. She turned slowly as she looked in the direction of the voice.

"Dad! She exclaimed, "What are you doing here?" She asked as she walked to where he was seated.

"I am here to apply for the job you have told me about," He replied timidly.

"Oh really I thought that you were not interested when I told you about it yesterday," Slyvia said.

"I was drunk my dear, I didn't know what I was saying. You know sometimes when someone is drunk everything becomes nonsense to him. Anyway, where am I supposed to drop these letters?" Mr. Mukoya asked to change the story.

"I think you will have to wait for the CEO the Job application is directed in his office. I don't think Human resource management is dealing with it," she said.

"Can you please ask for me in the human resources department I want to be sure of it," Mr. Mukoya said?

"Sure thing dad," she said as she moved to the receptionist to enquire about it.

"Hello, ma'am, who is dealing with the application for the chairman position?" She asked politely.

"I think the boss CEO is the one dealing with that, I am not sure about that. The job is not advertised so the human resource is not in charge, please direct him to the CEOs office," the receptionist said.

"Sure thing," she said as she walked back to her dad and told him to go to the CEO's office.

Then Slyvia left for her office, 'I remember when I called you yesterday you were not drunk. You had the guards hang up on me. I wonder why you are here now?' she thought as she climbed the stairs to her department.

Mr. Mukoya was directed to the CEO's office he used the lift as the office was located on the last floor of the building.

He was lucky because Mrs. Wechuli was already in the office just checking the files. She was not yet busy, so when he asked her secretary if he can talk to her. The secretary gave him a go-ahead.

He knocked on the door and when he heard a come in, he smiled to himself as he walked to the office.

"Good morning boss, my name is Emmanuel Mukoya I am here to apply for the job," he introduced himself timidly.

"Yes, how did you know that we have a vacancy here?" She asked not sparing him even a glance.

"Mmh I heard it from my friend who encouraged me to apply,"

"Then you have a very good friend, someone who can refer a job opportunity to you is worthy for keeps. Anyway do, you have the credentials?"Mrs. Wechuli asked as he raised her head to look at him.

"Here are they all ma'am, I have attached everything needed," Mr. Mukoya said as he handed her the envelope.

"By the way you look very familiar, I just can't figure out where I have seen you," Mrs. Wechuli said as she opened the envelope then started to go through his academic papers.

She looked at him again as she said, "I am sorry for keeping you standing have a seat."

She went through all the academic papers then smirked. "I don't know if you qualify but I think I will have to present this to the board of members. If you qualify you will be contacted," She said.

Mr. Mukoya wanted to tell her that she doesn't have a phone but was restrained. He was not ready for the explanations.

"You are free to leave my office," she said as she embarked on what she was doing earlier.

Mr. Mukoya was embarrassed as he stood up and walked out of the office slowly. If he won't qualify for this work, he wi have to do any kind of work to raise his rent. He was desperately looking for a man, he has no other place to live in if he won't pay for the rented house.

After three minutes of Mr. Mukoya leaving the office, Mrs. Wechuli looked at the envelope again as she murmured to herself. "This is my company why should I wait for the board member's opinion before hiring anyone?"

She walked out of the office as he instructed her secrets to calm back Mr. Mukoya. Mr. Mukoya was about to press the lift door when the secretary approached.

"Sir you are being called back in the office," she said.

"Who is calling me?" He asked.

"It's my boss calling you,"

He turned back and walked to the office, Mrs. Wechi smiled at him as she said," I think you will have to start work next week. The company needs the chairman so I won't wait for the board of members to decide."

"Are you for real ma'am? I am so happy and grateful, I assure you that I am not going to disappoint you," Mr. Mukoya said as he stood up to shake his hand with hers.

"Something else Mukoya you will be an acting interim Chairman so there is no work contract we are going to sign. You will be paid according to your accomplishment, all best," Mrs. Wechuli notified.

Mr. Mukoya was so happy that he have been hired so he didn't give it a thought what Mrs. Wechuli was saying. He didn't know that it was risky to work in an environment like that one. Without a contract how will he survive in that company, it will be easy to be falsified.

He was too despondent to notice that, his aim was to be hired as long as he have money to pay for his house and bills.

Just Like that Mr. Mukoya becomes the provisional Chairman of Luhyahood's dream company.
