Chapter Sixty-four

Bella had stubbornly gone to her room, she shut it against his face, knowing fully well that he was following her. "Bella I'm sorry, something urgent had come up, that is why I left. Please open the door ", he was saying but she did not bother answering him. She was still angry even though it was evident she had no idea why she was upset. She sat on the floor with her back to the door, if only she knew he was seated there too  feeling guilty and lost. Jay was guilty of something and she could feel the eerie energy about them but just could not place her fingers on the reason. "Bella ", he was beginning, " I'm really sorry for not being by your side. I want to believe you can hear me even though you in there, I'm sorry. I truly am, I just.. ", he kept saying when she suddenly opened the door.  The impact nearly caused him to fall but then, he caught himself, rose quickly and did not miss her teary eyes. It was his fault, the woman had been through a lot because of him, he drew her into his arms for a hug. Burying her in his chest, he kissed her head, she circled him with her little arms. That's more like it. He started moving, slowly taking her inside and shut the door with his feet. This night, he was going to just going to cuddle her and make her understand how much love he had for her. Confused as he was, he knew one thing, he loved her definitely, no confusion about that. He had happened to notice that Stella was still all about her vanity, too late he discovered that after that crazy sex they had. She went to the bathroom, forgetting her phone he noticed she had been trying to guard from him, she did not hear it ring but then, there was no mistaking that number although she saved it with another name. He was a very good memorizer, once he saw some numbers, he could recognize it anywhere. There was no two ways about it, it was Pablo's other line. He got angry but then, he became curious at what plan she was hatching. He did not trust her anymore, it was then it dawned on him that it was better he lived with a weak woman who had no eye on power than some materialistic person. When he had finally discovered why she had cried, he was even filled with more guilt, she then began avoiding him, it seared his heart the more.

He was watching her now, sleeping so peacefully. Th soon to be mother of his child if the doctors predictions turned out positive, he smiled when she murmured his name. This was happening more often and it pleased him whenever she did so. He managed to slip a little and sat on the sofa, he dialed Alfredo and narrated what had happened to him. Alfredo believed it was fishy and expressed his disappointment at Jay for going there in the first place. It was the devils den and he had no business being there.
