CHAPTER 189

I turn back to my laptop and read the information over and I called my private investigator. 

" Hi, Good morning"he answered  over the phone " Good morning sir"

" I  got your report on Miss Daisy, thank you,  I would send you your balance right now "I said.

" Alright sir" he answered. 

" I  have a question,  is there no way you can go deep in the investigation,  I  want to know about where she was before returning to the states" I  said.

" I  must tell you I have tried because I had to work with our interpol on this case in the states and on the United  states report that is what they got and I  think this is what we can get about her" he said.

" Alright thanks, please send me your account  details" I said.

" Okay sir" and I  hang the call.

After 3 mins , I  got a message on my phone and it was the private investigator  account  details  and I  made a transfer to his account and I  pick my celphone to dial his number and the investigator 's call came in.

" I  have just receive  the alert, thank you" he said over the phone.

" you are welcome" I replied . He hangs the call and I thought for a moment and think about calling Nini and I  drop my cell phone again and pick up again and scroll through my cell phone for her number because I  saved  her number the very first day she came as my client before knowing she was Nini, I  dialled her number and I cut it and I used my private line to call her after about five rings and I  was about to hang the  call and I  heard her voice over the cellphone " Hello" and I  paused a bit and she said again " hello" and I  answered " Hello" and we both didn't  say a word for about 15 seconds and I  broke the silent " Can we meet" She didn't  say a word but I could hear her sob over the phone and hearing her sob over the phone broke my heart into pieces  that even I began crying and I was going to speak " Am......and she cuts in and say " pacify hotel, room 39" and she hangs and I held the cellphone to my ear and I  remove the phone from my ear and stare at it for a while and I  open my draw and bring out our wedding picture that I  kept in the drawer and I  stare at it and flash back to our vows and how we put the rings into our finger and I  put it back into the drawer and I use my hand to dry my tears and I  close my laptop and stood up, I  pick my suit and step out of my office.

NINI.

I wasn't  expecting  any call today and my cellphone rang, I  check the number, I  do not kmow it because my Nigeria contacts  on my cellphone are few, I  didn't  pick until after the fifth ring and I slowly picked the phone and nonone spoke, so  decided to break the silence , I said hello second time and no one answerd and I  was  even about cutting  off the call when I  heard Dayo's voice, I  was happy but when I  remeber how I  was treated when he found out about me I cried and when he said we should meet " it feels so much like I didn't  hear what he said, I  paused for a while because I  never expected  it and he was going to say something  but i quickly give him my hotel address  because I  want to see him again because I miss him so much.
