Chapter 72

Having her as company wouldn't be all that bad, in fact it will be more preferable to sitting here alone.

If I hope to keep her here for a little moment, I have to make it worth her time.

If answering her questions can keep her occupied, then so be it.

"The moment I walked in, I felt as if my skin was itching me from the inside. It was like those annoying itch that's insistent in your body, if you scratch it on your skin, it will make no difference", I looked to check if her attention was still on me, thankfully it was still on me.

She was looking at me with rapt attention as if my words will save the humans in case the war of 2000 reoccurs.

"It was insistent for a moment, before it stopped. Now it feels like a dull ache", to tell the truth, it wasn't itching me again, I want feeling anything on my skin again. The itch just disappeared the same way it appeared.

She gave me an unfathomable look, " Are you sure of what you're saying?", she asked with the look still on her face.

I nodded, "why should I lie about that?, I have nothing whatsoever to worry about right? ", in talking I never stopped to ask myself if my words will have a consequence on me.

She shook her head, "you have nothing to worry about", she smiled, "I was just surprised at your confessions. No one have felt an itch like you described, to us it's more like a tug, and it never stops till we leave this room", she gazed around the room, her eyes stopping occasionally on am item or two.

"where's this place?", this should have been my first question the moment I walked in.

"It was the first place magic was practiced on, this books were the ancient text of our fore fathers handed down from generation to generation.

It was where this academy started from before it was built to accommodate the entire species in Makoha", she looked around the room with pride, "this was the first class the humans had when they discovered their powers hundreds of years ago.

It still took them more years to finally get a grasp on their powers, prior to that they were in hiding from their oppressors that's the Vampires and werewolves

It's believed the gods gave us the magical powers so we can fight back at the others".

This is new story to me, I haven't heard of this part of our history before, I believed what I was told that magic have always been in our blood, and it have flown in our blood for long as I can remember.

"I haven't heard of this Before, how come I want told of this?", I gave her a confused look, "Are you pulling my legs or us this the actual truth?".

Try what I may, I couldn't wrap my mind on the idea of humans being as power less as I am now.
