Chapter 168

Shaking my head at the thoughts, I turn to leave. I won't be as foolish as go back to the classroom like the guy did.

All I have to do is go back to my room, that way I will be in my bed when death knocks on my door ( joking apart, relaxing on a soft bed even in death makes death a bit memorable).

I broke off in a run when I heard another rumble of the thunder. Who knows what's actually going on? it must be something powerful for it to be able to hinder us from making use of our powers.

If this is an ordinary element out of control kind of thing, the elementals controllers would have solved it before it got out of hand; they would have made quick work of it before it really become this way.

Running back to my room proved to be a mire difficult task than I envisioned when I thought about it. For instance, most of the lights in the hallways were off, and the ones that managed to still be on, flickers on and off at will.

The halls were littered with broken things, if care's not taken a person might incur a grave wound.

Maneuvering my way out of the learners hall, I ran out of the building ( our learners hall, dinning room, lift room, and teacher's lounge are in the same building) and into the open where the worst really is happening.

Outside was pitch black with no light in place, the only source of light is the occasional flickering of lightening, and that was the light that showed me the way.

Where are the teachers? where's everyone?

I looked around, trying to see if I can notice a motion ,or even hear a noise from the outside, yet I heard nothing.

Outside was as silent as a grave, the only sound happens to be the occasional thunders that thought yo pay us a visit today.

The occasional bolt of lightning and my knowledge of the academy made me successfully reach the student's residential area.

I blew out a breathe on reaching the front steps, "so far so good", I congratulated myself on a successful arrival to mu destination.

I must have done my congratulatory dance too early because what I saw next made me wish I was still in the darkness with others.

Hell I would have preferred being with the boy I thought stupid for running into a classroom instead of following me to our residential building.

"Human! I thought you won't show your face", A beasts who's like a human with oversized fangs smiled at me.

The fanged smile it gave me made me shiver in unrestrained fright. How did I end up in this situation?

Swallowing the lump on my throat, I tried to think of a way to escape the beast in front of me. This actually is really jumping from frying pan to fire.

"You can't run from me forever" the beast said.
