"Come come", she motions to me. The evil glint still in her eyes.
i gulped loud enough for her to hear the sound, but even if she did hear, she made no indication of such.
I followed her as she walked so past the school building.
"My ancestors were the first to start this academy. The started it to help unleash the powers of others", she starts walking a dark path, " gaining of magic as we have now wasn't how our ancestors got theirs. Back in the days of humans, they had to unleash their powers before it will fully manifest".
As she tells this tale, my mind tries to remember exactly where it heard something similar from.
/
"High prince?", she stops all of a sudden, making me push into her.
"Yes?", I took two steps back from where we're standing. I don't like the vibe I get when am around her.
"Are you listening to all am saying?", she pursed her lips as she looks down on me, trying to intimidate me.
Well, she really did intimidate me.
"Yes ma, you were talking about our ancestors and their powers right?".
I commend myself for not stuttering in her presence. I know am nervous around her, but I don't want her to know exactly how nervous I am.
"Yes!", she claps in glee, turning to resume our work, "some of them have to be taught to help unleash the said powers, while some needs to be pushed beyond their comfort Zone to really unleash their powers".
The moment she was through with her tale, I found myself free falling.
" You have to try and unleash your powers High prince! ", I heard her shout before my back made a good collision with the ground dakestog
" Ouch!", I groaned in pain.
The fall must have broken a bone or two from my back.
Where am I?
I looked around to check of I can Guage my location, but it was pitch darkness that covered the entire place. The only thing I can feel is the solid ground below me, aside from that the place is as dark as the darkest night.
Looking up, I noticed their was no sign of both the sky, and the dark orange sky. Is this pit so deep to the extent I can't see the stars that litters the sky?.
"Mistress!" I called out to the woman who started all this, but I heard no answer from her. It's as if she've long gone from there.
Why did she throw me in here? does she want to unleash my powers that badly? what will she profit by throwing me into the pit?
All this and many more questions I asked myself as I tried to find a way out of this pit. Staying in this dark gods forsaken place will make me go mad with darkness.
A darkness that made me recall the one that befall on us on that particular night.
A night Ajummuo thought to spoil for us all.
