I must have slept off or fainted from the fear of the beasts with their mouth open, ready to devour me. The brightness of the sun made me open my eyes. Blinking, I looked around me in amazement. Big beasts almost the same size of gorillas are scattered around me. Their eyes closed in peaceful sleep, each breathing in amazement.

I slowly rose up from where am lying, not wanting to wake up the sleeping beasts. Waking them up might mean restarting my surviving run.

As I made to walk out of the circle the made around me, one or two of them stirred.

I stood frozen on the ground in other no to alert them of the intended escape of their victim.

The ones with their eyes open, made a noise in their throat, and it made the the sleeping ones open their eyes.

Their red eyes trained on me. The eyes looking more deadly now I've seen the entire body of the beasts who owns them.

I gulped in fear as I watched them slowly stand to their four sturdy legs.

Oh gods, please recieve my souls in your paradise, I silently prayed to the gods silently watching as I die at the hands of these hideous beasts.

The all advanced closer towards me, taking great pain in maintaining their perfect circle around me.

"Boys, you all have to cool down", I say in a voice that's nervous, but one I wanted it to sound commanding.

The kept on advancing towards me despite my words.

" We're in a civilized world friends", I smiled but it came out more like a grimace, "let's talk it out man to animals".

I read from somewhere that if you're about to be eaten by hungry looking animals, that the best way to ensure you're not eaten is to engage them in a civilized conversation.

Turns out the book actually lied, and am about to be eaten by the hungry beasts. I bet they've not eaten since last night; chasing a stubborn human that doesn't want to be caught can make a hungry animal become frustrated.

The question on why they didn't eat me as I slept made me more conscious of the fact this beasts wants more than just to eat me.
