"Now's not the time to act on your regrets! pick up pace, let's our run the beast!", a voice in me encouraged me.

I closed my eyes, mustering enough strength, I started running, and this time am chased by not only one, but numerous beasts, each trying to get a grab on my fresh soft skin.

A mysterious light flashed and lighted the way for me. Up ahead , I saw something that looks identical to a cave, and I made a dash towards it not in the least concern of what I will see when I enter there.

The place looks old, and inhabited, with a stanky pungent odour.

"What can I do?", I shrug, beggars can't be choosers.

The howls got louder and nearer to the cage I ran into, but eventually the sounds got distant.

Blowing out a sigh of relieve, I sat on the floor of the dirty cage.

Does Kwofo, Blondie and Reddy know where I am now?

A beast who howled loud. I won't put it past it to be alerting his fellow beasts about my location, and my hunch was proved true when I heard more howls answering to his call.

Taking off on my heels, I ran deeper into the cave with the beast close on my heels.

I must have tripped on either a rock or mud, but what I know is I found myself flat on the wet ground with the beast close enough to eat me if it wants.

"No!", I shouted when it opened it's mouth.
