"What exactly happened to you on that night?".

I've seen she's not ready to let go of what happened, she's so hell bent on knowing exactly what happened, and that's exactly what I told her; the Kwofo's version of course.

"You seriously don't know what else happened after you left the building? you didn't see anything? ", she asked with a look of disbelief on her face.

" All I can recall is being too weak to lift up my arms when I felt something painful strike my back", I groaned as if recalling the pains of that fateful night.

My words sparked her interest, " are you aware of what it is that hit your back? do you have any idea what it is or who's controlling it? ", I swear she almost fell off her chair based on her overriding eagerness.

I shook my head, " it must have been an animal based in it sharp claws, but I was tok weak to look up and see what must be causing so much pain to me".

" You didn't think to use you're powers? ", I know she's aware I've not gotten my powers yet, and since she knows, this must be a bait to make me slip on my words.

If she knows me before I came here, she should have known am the goddess of lying, all thanks to the one and only partner in crime a prince can ever ask for, Kwofo in the making.

"The night seized the entire powers of all, even if I had any magic it wouldn't have made any different since there was no connection for magic users, not even they weres and vampires were left out. We all had the same problem", I shrug.

She gazed at me for a minute too long before she turned her attention back to whatever it is she's gazing at behind me.

" When you woke up, how did you feel?", she asked a question I can't help but think of its relationship to the one at hand..

" I felt like a person who've been lying on the bed for a long time", I said sarcastically, it's either she didn't catch it, or she just decided to overlook the slip.

"That's not my question, my question is if you felt either tasty or hungry when you woke up?", she asked again.

I don't know why she asked the question, but my gut's telling me there's something she wants to know of.

That got me thinking, the first thing I asked for was water, and not food, I ate later at night. When you think of it right now, it's rather too odd I only I asked for water instead of the two things I should have asked for.

"I asked for water, and when I've had me fill of it, I asked for food", that won't make her as suspicious as the real deal would have made her.
