"Am sure he will see it. If there's one thing Reddy is good in, it's observation."
Reddy sure knows how to find things unlike Blondie who's good in frantic searching.
I looked up at the almost darkened sky.
"We can't go into the elders' village right now. They're hostile during the days time, talk more of when you visit at night."
The elders'village is a place where the elders who doesn't like the kingdom go to when they're almost at death's door.
That was the reason they're always suspicious of people coming to their village.
There was thick mist covering us. We can see ourselves, but not something a little bit distancy from us.
The mist didn't bother us because of the mountainous region we found ourselves in. Mountains are rumoured to be covered with enough mist or something akin to that.
"Leaving here won't be an option. We have to wait for Reddy to catch up with us, that way he won't be stressed into coming there.
I don't think the human elders will be receptive to a vampire."
His words made me remember an important fact.
"Search the bag Kwofo brought. Check if you will see a black vial."
He looks like he wants to question my words, but eventually did as I asked.
He brought out a black looking thing and placed it in front of me "what's that? don't tell me it's one of the dark magics our elders says human practice."
He gives the vial a skeptical look as if it will somehow jump up from its container and attack him.
"It's not dark magic but something that looks like it," I slyly smiled at him knowing his curiousity about the dark looking vial will be piqued.
" What's in it?" he made to take up the black vial but I stopped him.
"Constantly touching it will make it loose its potent powers. "
I kept a blank face.
" That's really black magic?" he whisper shouts.
I nod sullenly " it destroys people who're within range of us."
The mist surrounding us parted to show people with hideous looking faces. One part of their face have something akin to a tattoo drawn on it, while the other looks more like a burnt thing.
The clothes they're putting on can be likened to be rags. Even from this distance the pungent odour of the odd looking people can be pierced.
The one in front of the others have something like Okwe strung on his neck, while the others have this normal cowry beads on their necks.
The one with the large Okwe and Mbe on his neck must be the leader.
On their hands are sharp weapons. Sharp weapons that gleamed in the night sky.
A weapon that looks so Sharp I won't be surprised if it sliced once through a tree and have the tree cut.
" Gods," I hastily stood up from my bed with the help of Blondie who was focused on the intruders.
"What are this?"
