Chapter 376

Blondie looked at them with hatred in his eyes.

Looking at them, I got ready to teleport us out of here and back at the place I know the humans searching for us will still be in.

After all the devil you know is far more better than the angel you don't know.

"Onye ka Iwu?" the one with the Mbe and Okwe strung on his neck asked me in Ugali's local dialect. This was the tongue of the gods.

One that was passed down from generation to generation in Ugali until we adopted the general Makoha language.

The one we communicate with here.

I smiled when I heard the question. This proves that the hideous looking people are humans, and might be of help to us in the long run.

"Abum Buchim. Onye nka mu na ya so bu Neche," I introduced myself as just Buchim. There's no use adding a title to my name when am not sure if they're friendly or not.

Irrespective of being human like I am, the hideous looking people might not be as receptive as my people.

He looked startled when I answered his question. I guess he wasn't expecting us to know what he's saying.

"What are you two talking about? " Blondie asked me, but his focus is on the people surrounding us " I heard your name and mine, hope everything is okay?"

" I introduced us to him when he asked who we are. Seems like they still practice the ancient Ugali dialect."

Blondie nods but still didn't spare me a look. i guess he's not comfortable with the people on front of us.

"Onye ka i bu?" the leader asked again, this time taking a step towards me, but Blondie blocked me.

"Abum onye Ugali," I answered when he asked me who I am again..

I guess he's surprised to hear me speak our local dialect.

"Ugali? kedu ka isi bia ebea taa?" he gives me a curious look.

I guess it's not Everytime you meet a person who knows how to speak your language and seem to come from your ancestoral home.

"Anyi gaga Ebe nke ndi Okenye," I told him we are going to the elders' village when he asked how possible it is for me to travel from my kingdom to this remote mountainside.

If not for what's happening, I don't think I would have come as far as this place in my life time.

Not only is this place rural, but it lacks the basic necessity for everyday living.

The leader asked me question on question on why I thought to come here at a season like this. A season that's the most harsh of all the other seasons.

In this season of moon falling the weather drops low. Too low for our mortal body to endure the coldness.

i hope we get back home before the season comes in full force.

This isn't a season to be spent on the way else you might die of cold.
