My heart heavy as I took the first step out of the gate. Never did I imagine myself getting too close to the people of this town.
So close it pains me to leave.
I turned once more to look back at the villagers who are looking at me with teary faces.
One look was all it took before I turned to face my journey up ahead.
I will someday return.

"We need to keep walking. If they're to go to the village they will know we were the ones who escaped, and that will make them give chase."
Ije said when I asked for us to rest.
I don't think walking for Miles is something mapped out for me.
"Get on my back," Reddy commands as he squatted in front of me.
I scoffed "aren't you as tired as I?"
Moreover the other females have been walking without complaining, why can't I be able to afford that? why can't I endure like the others?
"You don't have to be ashamed of anything Blacky. You're pregnant, and they're not. It's a huge difference."
Blondie said.
" Don't worry we will switch if he gets tired. There's still a long way for is to go before we fully cover the gap. You will only delay us if you insist on walking by your own.
"Okay."
I agreed not only because of their words of encouragement but because of how tired I feel.
This morning, I've tried fighting against the strange pregnant morning sickness, but right now it's here with a vengencence. I don't think I will be able to walk for long without fainting.
I think I've truly over exerted my strengths by trying to act all that strong and cool to avoid raised brows from the girls.
They don't mind at all Blacky. If anything they're feeling sorry for you. Not all pregnant women can endure what you've gone through.
Blondie said when he obviously heard a flicker of my thoughts.

"We will rest here this evening," Reddy points at something that looks more like a cave. "I think we've done enough walk for today. Tomorrow after a hearty rest we can continue."
"To where exactly?" Star asked the question I've been meaning to ask.
To where exactly?
Right now, we can't go back to the mountains, neither is any village safe.
Where are we going to?
"We will take each day as it comes star. There's no cause for worry now." Reddy who obviously doesn't know the answer to the question he was asked said those words to tamper our doubts about things.
"If push comes to shove, we will enter into the forbidden forest. The priestess always talked about the spirits taking into care any that runs into it with open arms."
" The forbidden forest?"
I sincerely hope we don't get to a point where the deadly forest becomes our last resort. Despite whatever the priestess have to say about the forest, yeh forbidden forest still remains forbidden to me.
