Chapter 436

"Let's go," the man carefully carried the smaller one while the older walked after them.

"Will they be okay?" I asked Blondie.

My heart not willing to part with them.

If only the place we're going to is a safe place, I wouldn't have parted with them, I would have taken them with me.

"If they get to the palace, they will be well and utterly taken care of," Blondie takes my hand in his, and together we left the house and walked back to the place we diverted from.

"How long till we reach the gate?" Elit asked.

"It won't take long." Blondie who haven't let go of my hand said to her.

We've gone more deeper into the place of commons, the almost rundown houses we saw before are far more better than than the ones we are currently passing.

Most of the houses in the area are in want of Zinc after theirs have caved in. Most have broken shutters while the others have hanging doors.

"I wouldn't have believed there's a place like this in your kingdom."

Werewolves have always being the pompous of all the other species.

Vampires are always taking themselves as the most noble of the entire specie while werewolves act like the richest and far more advanced among us all.

If I've not seen this place first hand, I wouldn't have believed there's a place like this in all of Makoha.

"This wasn't how this place was," Blondie frowned. "The infighting and increased numbers of mutts found each year made this place so. They're the reason for the set back look of this place."

Blondie explained as he expertly navigated us through this place.

"You really seem to know your way around here," Ije remarked at not only the pace Blondie is keeping, but at how expertly he guided us from one street to the other. Without for once stopping to check our locations.

"Fern and I practically grew up here. Then the place haven't been like this then." Blondie stopped in front of a house. This one looked to be losing not only it's doors, windows, zincs and all the other full necessities of a building.

It looks like the only thing holding it together is the string foundation. A foundation that have been tested by the sounds of time.

"This was the place my uncle lived in. He was once a high ranking officer until he wasn't..." Blondie shook his head.

His head partially bowed as we walked past the building.

This place must have held more than enough memories for him for Blondie to be all this serious.

"You can't be all that old. How possible can it be that this houses looked new and okay when you were little?" Star asked. Her face lowered to the floor.

Aside from Elit, Star, Ije and the pony tailed girl none of the other girls have ever joined in a general conversation.

At first I thought them unable to talk until I heard them talking with Star.
