CHAPTER 88: EVE'S ADOPTIVE PARENTS

"You dare insult my.. WIFE?" Charlie said stressing the word 'wife' and the temperature of the dinning room becomes cold.

Everyone becomes scared except Eve who said to Charlie, "let's go I sick and tired of these people" she said standing up from her seat.

Charlie followed suit but stopped midway and turned back and said, "my company will not sign the contract and don't disturb me about any collaboration again in the nearest future because I will never agree to it" he said and both him and Eve left the mansion leaving the stunned family at the dinning table.

They got into their car and went home.

When Charlie and Eve got home they meet Mark sitting in the living room and waiting for them. As they entered the living room they also saw an elderly couple who looked gentle and was looking at Eve lovingly. When Eve saw the couple tears began to fall from her eyes.

"Dad what are you doing here?" Charlie asked his dad, "do you know them?" Charlie asked as he pointed to the people sitting across from his dad but Eve didn't answer him and ran towards them.

"Aunty Grace and uncle Long, what are you both doing here? How have you both been?" Eve asked tears now flowing freely from her eyes while she hugged them both.

"We are fine dear, you don't have to worry" aunty Grace said patting her back.

"I think we have some explaining to do" uncle Long said giving them sign for them to look back. Both of them looks up and notices the faces of Charlie and his father staring at them with curiosity in their eyes.

"Oh.. well (pointing to the elderly woman) this is aunty Grace and (pointing to the elderly man) this is uncle Long, he is half Chinese, they were the ones who took care of me when I was chased out of my parent's house by my uncle and his family" Eve explained briefly.

Charlie and his father nodding their head to show that they understood what she said.

"But how did you meet?" Mark asked.

"It was a rainy day, at around 9pm we were heading home from our dinner date at they time when we saw her lying on a chair by the road side and all her clothes were wet with her shivering seriously, we took pity on her and took her home with us" aunty Grace said.

"We decided when she gets better we would send her back to her parents after asking her but when she got better we asked her about her family but she said she was chased out by her uncle and her family" uncle Long continued the story.

"I told them the whole story and they decided to adopt me as their daughter since they didn't have one, so that's how I got to stay with them until my uncle tried to kill me I decided to leave them so their lives won't be in danger because of me" Eve said which made uncle Long and aunty Grace nod their head in confirmation to what Eve said.

"How did you know that you can find her here?" Charlie asked.

"Yes! How did you find me?" Eve asked looking at her adoptive parents.

"Well we heard rumors about you and him that you both got married so we did some findings and found out that you live here" uncle Long said pointing at Charlie.

"Oh" Eve, Charlie and Mark said together nodding their head.

"That's very nice of you both, you both trained my daughter - in - law to be a kind, loving and hardworking lady, thank you" Mark said.

"No need to thank us, it is our job to train our only god giving child and we are proud of how she turned out to be" uncle Long said and looked at Eve with a look of admiration and Eve looks at them back with tears of joy and hugged both of them.

"I missed you both" Eve said.

"We also missed you too" uncle Long and aunty Grace said.

"It's a great day isn't it? My precious daughter - in - law reconciled with her adoptive parents, we really need to celebrate this occasion" Mark said smiling.

"Yes you are right" Charlie said.

"Why don't you both join us for dinner? We will discuss more over dinner" Mark asked.

"Okay" uncle Long said.

Shortly a maid came into the living room to inform them that the dinner is set and Mark lead uncle Long and aunty Grace to the dinning room while Charlie and Eve proceeded upstairs to freshen up and will join them later.

Charlie and Eve's room.....

"They are really nice people" Charlie said attracting Eve's attention and she looks at him.

"Who?" Eve asked confused.

"Your adoptive parents" Charlie said.

"Oh.. yeah they are really a nice people, if there is anyway I can repay them I would like that" Eve said smiling a little.

Charlie hugs Eve and said, "don't worry about that because we would find a way to thank them".

"Thank you hubby" Eve said. Hearing what Eve just said turned him on and he was beginning to get a hard on.

"For what little bunny?" Charlie asked suppressing his desire.

"Just for everything you have done for me" Eve said.

"If you are thankful why not help me with my problem?" Charlie said into her ears sending shivers down her body.

"What problem?" Eve asked.

"This problem" Charlie said pressing his lower region into her back. Eve face turns red as she feels the bulge poking into her a**.

"Let's bath together little bunny, hmm?" Charlie said.

Eve contemplated for some while before agreeing to it, "okay" she said with a low but audible voice.

Both of them proceeded to the bathroom to take their bath (I don't need to divulge what happened in the bathroom ☺️ I will leave you to your imaginations 🤯🤭). They both came out few minutes later and headed to the dinning room to join the rest for dinner.

"Why did you take long!" Mark shouted.

"Is there anything wrong in taking our time?" Charlie asked rhetorically.

"You..." Mark wanted to say something but was interrupted.

"Just let them be, they are young blood and newly wed and they need privacy" aunty Grace turned to face Charlie and Eve and said "isn't that right dear?".

"Hmm you are right" Charlie said.

"Make sure I can see the result of your so called privacy" Mark said complaining.

"Of course, don't you know your son" Charlie said confidently which made Eve face turn crimson red.

"Of course I do" Mark said happy that his son is not against the idea of having children, "let's eat, let's eat" Mark said with a smile showing his whole teeth.

They all ate their dinner like one big happy family and chatting in between their dinner.

Anderson's mansion.....

"Honey we need to do something about what just happened" Sofia said anxiously because she can't afford to let the opportunity of becoming an in - law to the Powell's slip away from her.

"That's true dad, we need to do something" Adriana said with her hatred for Eve increasing by the minute, "why does that b**ch always get to have a good life no matter how hard we try to ruin her" Adriana thought.

"The only thing now is to frame Eve and make Charles believe that she is cheating on him" George said.

"What do you mean dad?" Adriana asked.

"We would pay some guy to act like he knows Eve, he would hug her in front of an hotel, by then we would take pictures of them send it to Charles and when their relationship is shakened that's where you come in" George said.

"What do you want me to do?" Adriana asked excited about the plan.

"You would ask Charles out telling him that you would tell him about Eve's past and then you drug him, take him to the room I would book in a hotel and we would take pictures of both of you on intimate positions that would portray that he slept with you and we would make him responsible for you" George said.

"So you are saying we should threaten Charles with his wife" Adriana said after understanding what her dad meant.

"That's a great idea!" Sofia exclaimed.

"But we need to be careful because we are talking about Charles Powell here" Adriana said.

"Yes I know, I will take care of that" George said confidently.
