CHAPTER 89: FRAME

"You would ask Charles out telling him that you would tell him about Eve's past and then you drug him, take him to the room I would book in a hotel and we would take pictures of both of you on intimate positions that would portray that he slept with you and we would make him responsible for you" George said.
"So you are saying we should threaten Charles with his wife" Adriana said after understanding what her dad meant.
"That's a great idea!" Sofia exclaimed.
"But we need to be careful because we are talking about Charles Powell here" Adriana said.
"Yes I know, I will take care of that" George said confidently.
"Watch out b**ch, let's see how long your marriage will last, no matter how much Charles love you when he sees you with another man he will divorce you immediately and I will help you take care of Charles... Hahahaha" Adriana thought laughing and her mother joins in laughing with her while imagining the way Charles would dispose of her when he finds out that she is cheating on him.

The M city hotel......
In front of the female bathroom......
Eve took a break from the meeting to go to the bathroom. As she got out from the female bathroom her wrist was held by someone. She turns back and saw a man she didn't know.
"Who are you? Please let go of me?" Eve said coldly.
"How can you forget me so soon darling?" The man said pitifully. Eve was surprised about what he said and wondered where she knew him from but no matter how she racks her brain she can't remember this man.
"Please I don't know you from anywhere" Eve said trying to pull her hand away from the strange looking man.
"My darling how can you do this to me? I love you" the man said on the verge of tears and he moves in and pulls the surprised Eve for a hug. Immediately he does that a certain person in a corner took pictures from every angles that looks like they were in a relationship.
Eve struggled and successfully pulled him away from her and she runs away as far as she can away from him. She thought of the situation on the way.
"What is that man's action supposed to mean? Did he mistake me for someone else or I know him from somewhere and I don't remember him but I can't seem to remember or feel like I know him from somewhere, just what is he planning or gain from this?" Eve thought as she walked to the room where the meeting is been held.

In meeting room......
"What took you so long?" Charlie asked as Eve sat down on her sit beside him.
"I encountered a little situation on my way back but it is taken care of" Eve said smiling to assure Charlie and not make him worried.
"Okay" Charlie said but was still worried about the problem she encountered and he whispers to his secretary Dan, "get the CCTV footage close to the female bathroom immediately".
"Okay sir" Dan said and bows his head and leaves the room to go carry out the orders of his boss.
One hour later, the meeting was over and they headed to the car to go back to the office.
"Sir, here is the CCTV footage you asked for and Eve was curious.
"CCTV footage?" Eve asked confused.
"Yes, I want to know the problem you said you encountered on your way back from the bathroom" Charlie said.
"I told you I was okay and I took care of it" Eve said frustrated that Charlie took what she said to heart "i shouldn't have told him the truth... Damn!" Eve thought.
"I need to know what happened and who dares to disturb my wife" Charlie said smirking.
"Okay if you say so I won't disturb you" Eve said in surrender.
Charlie opened the iPad and saw a video and pressed play to which the video started playing.
As the video went on, the temperature in the car began to get cold and his face expression became grave. Everyone in the car became scared but someone spoke up.
"If you watch the video closer you would notice a man at one corner trying to hide away from the camera secretively taking pictures" Dan said to his boss whose mood became worse after his explanation.
Charlie turns to Eve, "do you know the man in the video?" He asked Eve.
"No I don't know him, he just suddenly held my wrist on my way back from the female bathroom claiming that he knows me and I don't remember him" Eve narrated her ordeal.
"Okay I will take care of the matter" Charlie said and turns to face his secretary, "find out who the man was and also the photographer and who is behind this" Charlie said.
"Yes sir" Dan said.
"Hey! hubby don't let this little matter spoil your mood, smile for me.. hmm?" Eve said entangling her hand to his arm.
Charlie looks at Eve's face and seeing her pouting made her cute and he couldn't resist her so he smiled without him knowing.
Dan "..."
The driver "..."
What did they just experience now!
Their boss just smiled!
Truly their lady boss is a goddess! She changed his mood without no effort just her words! She is really god sent! The secretary thought.

Back at the company.....
Charlie's office.....
Eve were focused finalizing the minutes of the meeting while Charlie was reading and accessing the proposal that was giving to him at the meeting today at the hotel when they both heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" Charlie said. His secretary Dan comes in and greets him in which he responded to by nodding his head.
"Sir this is all the information you asked for" Dan said handing over a pile of papers to Charlie who takes it and looks through it.
"So who are the people in the video?" Eve asked out of curiosity.
"The man who held your wrist happens to be a serious gambler who has a lot of debts and by the looks of it the person who sent him promised to clear all his debts" Charlie said.
"And the photographer?" Eve asked.
"He just some poor photographer, he was paid a lot of money to take perfect pictures of you to make it look as if you are cheating" Charlie said.
"So.. I am being framed right?" Eve asked.
"Yes it appears so" Charlie said.
"Who would do that" Eve asked.
"That's what we will find out" Charlie said and his phone vibrated "oh.. talk about the devil" Charlie said smirking. He looks at his phone and sees pictures were sent to him by none other Eve's cousin, Adriana.
"Who is that?" Eve asked.
"Your cousin, Adriana" Charlie said.
"What did she send to you" Eve asked curiously.
"Apparently she sent pictures of you and that man and to say the photographer is really talented" Charlie said laughing.
"What do you mean?" Eve asked standing up from where she is sitting and was going to Charlie's desk.
"He made sure the picture gives out the vibe that you are cheating and she also said we should meet if I want to know about your past" Charlie said as he continued laughing giving his phone to Eve for her to see the pictures and the write up following it.
"I have an idea hubby" Eve suddenly said.
"What is your plan?" Charlie asked.
"I want you to plan along with them and make them believe you believe what they say and at the right time we will strike where it will affect them the most" Eve said smiling slyly.
"My little bunny is so smart" Charlie said using his hand to trace her arm up to her face and he kissed her. This sends shivers to her body and she blushes.
