CHAPTER 100: CHARLIE'S MOM.

"Are you sure that he would succeed this time?" Adriana asked her dad.
"He had better succeed this time because if he does not succeed he knows what will happen to him" George said.
"Okay that's by the way. Mom sent me here to see how you are doing, she just won't let me rest" Adriana said shrugging her shoulders.
"I am doing fine here. I have my own personal cell, so you and your mother don't have to worry about me" George said.
"Okay I will take my leave, I need to go and take back Devan corporation" Adriana said.
"How is it going?" George asked his daughter curiously.
"Well I planned to get a person to be our spy in the company and luckily I found one and I have sent her to be one of the secretaries of Eve. We would be getting information from her about what happens in the company" Adriana said affirmatively.
"That's good, well done" George complimenting his daughter.
"Thanks dad, I will be leaving now" Adriana said standing up from the seat.
"Okay dear, make sure you keep me updated, okay?" George said.
"Okay dad I will keep you updated" Adriana said and leaves the prison's visiting room and George is taken back to his cell.

The next morning........
Charlie's mansion.....
The master's bedroom......
Charlie and Eve were sleeping in each other arms before they were woken up by Charlie's phone ringing.
"Hello dad" Charlie said sluggishly with sleep still evident in his eyes. Eve woke up with the noise from the phone conversation.
"Hello Charles" Mark said.
"What is it dad?" Charlie said impatiently.
"You unfilial son! Can't you even great your old man before asking me the reason for calling you. Children of nowadays, you don't have any atom of respect.... wuuuuuuuu" Mark said pretending to cry.
"I am sorry dad, good morning" Charlie said rubbing his eyes.
"That's better" Mark said as he stop feigning a pitiful scene.
"Dad, why did you call this morning?" Charlie asked.
"I called to remind you about your mother's death anniversary this weekend" Mark said with a sad tone.
"Oh I almost forgot about it! Don't worry I will go back these weekend" Charlie said his mood has changed.
"And don't forget to bring your wife with you so you can introduce her to your mother" Mark said.
"Ok, I will" Charlie said and looked at Eve.
"Bye" Charlie and his father said their goodbyes to each other and cut the call. Eve who has been attentive all through the call spoke out.
"What did your dad tell you?" Eve asked.
"It's my mom's death anniversary this weekend so he said I should bring you with me when going back home" Charlie said with a gloomy. Eve can see that Charlie mood has changed after the call. He is really sad.
"Charlie don't be sad anymore, you have me here with me" Eve said consoling Charlie.
"You know... I was 10 years when my mom died and it took me years to overcome the trauma caused by my mother's death and every year on her death anniversary I always recall how she died" Charlie said breaking down in tears.
"How did she die?" Eve asked.
"She died in a car accident" Charlie said. Eve is shocked to see this side of Charlie. She has never imagined that the business tycoon, strong, perfect and handsome husband of hers has this side to him and she now knows everyone now has their story.
"Charlie, you have me here, I will be with you forever" Eve said tears dropping from her eyes.
Charlie looks at Eve, he wipes the tears from her face and kiss her on the forehead and hugs her.
"Thank you for being with me even after seeing this side of me.... I love you..." Charlie said.
"I love you too hubby" Eve said hugging Charlie back. After few minutes of hugging each other Eve reminded Charlie of breakfast and work.
"Ok dear, let's let go of each other now or we won't be able to eat breakfast and also get to work late" Eve said tapping Charlie on his back.
"Oh... That is true" Charlie said leaving Eve and both of them laughs.
Both of them took turns preparing for work and after they were done they went to the dinning room to have their breakfast and headed straight to work with Charlie dropping Eve off at Devan corporation before going to his company (JK corporation).

Saturday morning.....
Powell family mansion......
Charlie's room......
"Eve! Wake up let's go down for breakfast" Charlie said.
"Okay" Eve said getting up from the bed and going to bathroom to freshen up.
Dinning room.....
Charlie's father Mark, Charlie and Eve are eating their breakfast quietly before Charlie's father spoke up.
"So we would be going to your mother's grave in the afternoon so get ready" Mark said.
"Okay dad" Charlie said looking down on his food.
"And you too, Eve" Mark said to Eve.
"Huh?" Eve said absentmindedly.
"Did Charles not tell you that you would come with us to his mother's grave today?" Mark asked.
"He did" Eve said.
They quietly ate breakfast and went to prepare things they would need for where they are going later in the day.
Afternoon......
"It's time to go! Hurry up!" Mark shouted. Charlie and Eve came downstairs and they were both in black attire. They all went to the cemetery together.
St Benedict cemetery......
They stood in front of a grave. The name 'Olivia Powell' embedded on the head stone.
"Mom, we are here again but this time I came with my wife, Eve and I want you to meet her" Charlie said motioning Eve to come forward. "Her name is Eve Anderson and I love her very much.... Come dear introduce yourself" Charlie said.
"Hello mom, my name is Eve. I am your son's wife and as his wife, I will stay and comfort him, love him still death do us part" Eve said and dropped a bouquet of flowers on the grave and went to stand beside Charlie. As Charlie and Eve were done talking, Mark went closer to the grave.
"Dear... My little pie... Our son has grown up well, you don't need to worry anymore and rest well... I will always love you... My dear wife and friend" Mark said cleaning his tears. Charlie and Eve hugged Charlie's father and they all went back to the car and went home.

Powell family mansion.....
After dinner, Charlie stayed back to discuss with his father in his study.
"Dad, I and Eve will be going back to our house first thing tomorrow morning" Charlie said.
" Charlie... When your mother died, it took a toil on you. It really affected you and I am very happy of all your achievements now and I am also grateful for sending Eve into your life" Mark said.
"Yes, Eve is really God sent to me" Charlie said.
"That's all, you can go back to your wife, don't keep her waiting" Mark said.
"Okay Dad, goodnight" Charlie said.
"Mhm, goodnight" Mark said.
Charlie's room......
"What did you and your dad talk about?" Eve asked.
"Nothing much just how God sent you into my life and made it bright" Charlie said hugging Eve.
"You too are God sent in my life" Eve said hugging Charlie.
Both of them slept hugging each other.
