CHAPTER 101: CANDICE LEE.

After dinner, Charlie stayed back to discuss with his father in his study.
"Dad, I and Eve will be going back to our house first thing tomorrow morning" Charlie said.
"Charlie... When your mother died, it took a toil on you. It really affected you and I am very happy of all your achievements now and I am also grateful for sending Eve into your life" Mark said.
"Yes, Eve is really God sent to me" Charlie said.
"That's all, you can go back to your wife, don't keep her waiting" Mark said.
"Okay Dad, goodnight" Charlie said.
"Mhm, goodnight" Mark said.
Charlie's room~~~~~
"What did you and your dad talk about?" Eve asked.
"Nothing much just how God sent you into my life and made it bright" Charlie said hugging Eve.
Both of them slept hugging each other tight.

Charlie dropped Eve off at Devan corporation as he usually does and she proceeds to the floor where her office is. When she got out of the elevator and was heading to her office, she was stopped midway by a lady. She looked pretty. She has slender long legs and she wore a yellow chiffon top and a black fitted short skirt that accentuated her shape, but she was not in anyway better than Eve but she dressed to kill. Eve was not comfortable and felt a little suspicious about her but she decided not to judge her first.
"Hello, what can I do for you?" Eve asked politely and smiling at her.
"Hello ma'am, my name is Candice Lee and I am one of the new secretary assigned to this floor.
"Oh! Nice to meet you, I am your boss, the CEO of Devan corporation, Eve" Eve said.
"Nice to meet you ma'am, I hope we have a pleasant cooperation" Candice said stretching her hand forward for a handshake.
"Co-operation? What does she mean by co-operation ? " Eve thought as she was surprised what co-operation a secretary of hers was talking about.
Eve watched the lady walk away but decided not to let every thought go and think of positive things.

Eve settled down in her office but then she heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" Eve said.
"Good morning ma'am" Sue greeted walking towards Eve's desk.
"I told you many times that you can call me by my name when we are alone" Eve said pouting.
"I know you told me I should call you by your name but I just wanted to tease you a little. Can't I tease my friend a little?" Sue said and both of them started laughing.
"Okay... okay let's get down to business, why are you here?" Eve asked.
"I am here to inform you about the meeting with Mr Dolby of Atmos energy corporation" Sue said.
"Okay, what time is the meeting?" Eve asked.
"It's at 10am" Sue said.
"That's 30 minutes from now" Eve said looking at her watch. "Okay you may go and prepare the things we need for the meeting and also you and Nars will be going with me" Eve said.
"Okay" Sue said and leaves the office and Eve goes back to what she was doing.

30 minutes later~~~~
VIP room 4 at Blue skies hotel~~~~
"Your proposal is quite tempting but I still need to take my time and examine it to prevent any problem, you agree with me right?" Eve asked.
"Yes Miss Eve, you are indeed right but don't take too long to decide" Mr Dolby said.
"Don't worry Mr Dolby it won't take long" Eve said.
"Now that is settled, why don't we enjoy ourselves?" Mr Dolby said.
"What do you mean?" Eve said.
"Miss Eve don't tell me you don't understand what I mean" Mr Dolby smirking.
"I don't understand what you mean Mr Dolby?" Eve said.
Mr Dolby dropped his glass and approached Eve and tried to put his hand on Eve but she moved very fast.
"Mr Dolby, I don't think you know what you are doing?" Eve said.
"What do you mean?! Don't try to act innocent because I know you are not" Mr Dolby shouted. Eve just smiled.
"Mr Dolby, don't start what you cannot finish" Eve said.
"You..." Mr Dolby wanted to say something but was interrupted by Eve's phone ringing. Eve brought out her phone from her purse and she smiled when saw that Charlie is the caller.
"Hello dear" Eve said.
"Hello wifey, how is work going?" Charlie asked.
"Hmm... It was going fine until some certain someone ruined it" Eve said looking at Mr Dolby.
"Who are you referring to you wh**e?!" Mr Dolby shouted.
"Who is that?" Charlie asked worried.
"Mr Dolby of Atmos energy corporation" Eve said.
"Don't worry I will take care of it" Charlie said.
"Okay, dear thanks, have a nice day... Muah😘" Eve said.
"You are tempting me and I will make sure I punish you this night" Charlie said. His voice was hoarse.
"I will be waiting for your punishment then" Eve said teasingly. Both of them greeted themselves goodbye and hung up the phone.
"Did you just report me?" Mr Dolby asked.
"Yes" Eve said confidently.
"To whom? Your sugar daddy?" Mr Dolby asked.
"You will know sooner or later" Eve said as she stood up but as her hand touched the door knob, Mr Dolby talked.
"Nobody will be able to do anything to me, you know why? Because I am rich! So don't even hope!" Mr Dolby said and smirked.
"We shall see about that Mr Dolby" Eve said and smiled slyly. She opens the door and said to Sue and Nars.
"Let's go" Eve said.
"What happened?" Sue asked Nars.
"How would I know!" Nars said raising his hands. Both of them followed Eve out of the hotel.

"Come in" Charlie said to the person on the other side of the intercom.
Few minutes later, Dan came in, "you called me sir?" Dan said.
"Do you know who Mr Dolby of Atmos energy corporation?" Charlie asked. Dan was surprised of his boss sudden question about Mr Dolby is but still answered him.
"His full name is Mr Dolby Atmos and he is the CEO and owner of Atmos energy corporation. The company specializies in solar energy systems" Dan said.
"Okay, I want you to make sure you bring him down and do that before tomorrow morning" Charlie said coldly.
"What do you mean by bring him down, sir" Dan asked but he is afraid that he would anger the boss more and he would release his anger on him.
"Make sure he goes really bankrupt and to the extent he won't be able to recover" Charlie said coldly.
"Okay sir, I will do that immediately" Dan said and left the office.
"You (Mr Dolby) dare annoy my wife? I will teach you a lesson😠" Charlie said to himself.
