CHAPTER 103: VICTOR'S BABY SHOWER

Outside Eve's office~~~~~
She got outside and she is surprised who is causing the commotion but she decided to find out why he was causing the commotion.
"What is going on here?" Eve said and everyone looked at Eve.
"I am very sorry for the disturbance ma'am, I told Mr Dolby countless times that you don't want to be disturbed but he insisted on seeing you" Ossy said.
"You little girl! What did you do to my company, call back whoever you called and tell him to retract whatever he did to my company!" Mr Dolby shouted. Eve started laughing.
"I warned you didn't I? But you didn't listen and here you are blaming me for your miss fortune, isn't that ironic?" Eve said smirking.
"Please I beg you, please help me out" Mr Dolby started begging when he saw he couldn't threaten Eve.
"I am sorry Mr Dolby but I can't do anything to help you, it is already late" Eve said and told one of her secretaries to call security to take the man out of there.
"Call security to escort Mr Dolby out" Eve said and went back into her office.
"Okay ma'am" Ossy said and proceeded to call security. Mr Dolby tried following Eve but was held by security and escorted out of the company.
"Our boss is really ruthless when she is offended" first secretary said.
"Yes that's true" second secretary said.
"Let's us try not to get on her bad side" third secretary said.

Charlie's office~~~~~
"Hey dude!" Victor's voice resounded in the office distracting Charlie from what he is doing.
"What dude! Aren't you supposed to be busy with work in your company instead of lazing around" Charlie said using his right hand to rub his eyes. It was obvious he was tired because of the work load.
"Dude, you need to take a rest. You know if your beautiful wife sees you like this she would be worried" Victor said seriously.
"I know about that... But what brings you to my office today?" Charlie asked.
"Ah... I almost forgot about that. I am here to formally invite you and your wife, Eve to my baby shower" Victor said. Charlie was shocked.
"Your wife was pregnant!?" Charlie asked looking wronged.
"Ye...yes" Victor stammered figuring out what he did wrong.
"Racheal was pregnant and you did not bother to tell me" Charlie said.
"I am sorry... Very sorry... I just wanted to surprise you guys" Victor said.
"Have you informed Micheal and Ginger?" Charlie asked.
"Yes and I even invited your father" the words just slipped out of his mouth. He saw that Charlie was now looking at him frowning his face, he hurriedly stood up from where he was sitting and said.
"The baby shower is going to be celebrated in my home by 6pm and don't forget to come with Eve, bye!" Victor said this and rushed out of the office to prevent Charlie from giving him a good beating.
"Damn you! Now my dad will pester me about giving him a grandchild" Charlie lamented but picked up his phone to call Eve. The phone rang and it was answered before the first ring finished.
"Is that how much you miss me that you didn't even allow the phone to ring" Charlie chuckled.
"Yes, is there anything wrong with missing my hubby?" Eve said childishly and pouting her lips.
"There is nothing wrong dear, infact you missing me is turning me on actually" Charlie said slyly making Eve to blush terribly.
"Stop that!... Pervert" Eve said with a barely audible voice but was heard by Charlie.
"You are my wife, so how am I a pervert when I am discussing intimate things with you?" Charlie said with a teasing tone.
"You..." Eve wanted to talk but she stopped herself and calmed down and asked, "why did you call me anyway?" She asked.
"Victor is having a baby shower by 6pm at his home and he invited I and you" Charlie said.
"Racheal has giving birth! Was she pregnant? Why did they tell us?" Eve asked Charlie.
"He said they wanted to surprise us" Charlie said.
"When did he tell you?" Eve asked.
"He came to visit me and just actually left my office" Charlie said, tiredness was obvious in his voice.
"Okay. Charlie you sound tired, are you okay Charlie?" Eve said worried.
"Yes, just a little tired" Charlie said.
"Okay. Make sure you rest if not I would not talk with you and also won't allow you to touch me for one week!" Eve said.
"My little bunny is sure fierce" Charlie said chuckling.
"I am not joking Charlie" Eve said firmly.
"Okay, hi hi captain, I will rest right after this call" Charlie said in surrender.
"That's better" Eve said.
"Let me allow you to go back to work, I will pick you up after work, okay?" Charlie said.
"Okay bye, love you" Eve said.
"Bye, love you too" Charlie said and hung up the phone. He proceeded to the adjoining room in his office to rest for a while because he cannot bear to not touch his wife for one week. His wife is his life. He thought of the punishment and chuckled. He lied down on the bed and slept off immediately.
Few hours later, Charlie woke up, he looked at his watch to check time and saw that it was already 5:30pm. He stood up freshen up because of the perspiration and goes out of the company to pick up Eve from her company.
Thirty minutes later, he got to the company and he saw that Eve was already waiting for him. He stopped, stepped down from the driver seat and opens the passenger door for Eve and Eve enters the car and Charlie closes the door and goes around to enter the car and drove off to Victor's home.

Victor's mansion~~~~~
Charlie stopped the car in front of a building. Eve got down and is amazed at the structure of the house, although it is good but Charlie's own is better or both are good in their own way.
"Is this Victor's house?" Eve asked in awe.
"Yes, let's go in" Charlie said taking Eve's hand.
"Hmm" Eve hummed and followed Charlie.
The party seem to be blooming very well. Charlie and Eve were blending into the crowd when they heard their name and they turned back to know who called them.
"Charlie and Eve! You both are here" Victor said approaching them with Racheal, both smiling.
"Congrats dude" Charlie said shaking hands with Victor.
"Congrats Racheal" Eve said to Racheal and she hugged her.
"Thanks" Victor said. They were talking and after a while they were joined by Michael, Ginger and Charlie's father, Mark.
"Hey dude! Hi Eve" Michael greeted Charlie and Eve.
"Hi Eve" Ginger said, "hi Ginger" both women greeted themselves.
"Where is my grandchild Charles?" The person who spoke up is Charlie's father.
"Dad, good evening" Charlie said ignoring the question.
"Good evening dad" Eve greeted her father - in - law.
"Good evening dear, how was work today? I heard you have taken over your father's company" Mark said ignoring Charlie.
"Yes and work was fine today, thanks for asking" Eve said politely.
"Eve can you help me tell my son to give me a grandchild because my son seem to not be listening to me" Mark said still ignoring Charlie.
Charlie "...", "What is wrong with this man?" Charlie thought. Everyone was laughing at Charlie because of what his dad is doing. Eve was trying to suppress her laughter and said.
"Okay dad I will" Eve said.
"Thank you dear" Mark said. He turned to Victor and Racheal and said.
"This old man will be going, congrats once again."
"Thanks" Victor said and escorted him to his car. Victor came back and then six friends drank, talked. They were practically teasing Charlie throughout the night.
When the party was over it was already very late (around midnight), Racheal has already retired because she needed to take care of the new born baby. Victor offered his friends to stay over and they agreed and they all retired for the night.
