CHAPTER 104: SABOTAGE

"Eve can you help me tell my son to give me a grandchild because my son seem to not be listening to me" Mark said still ignoring Charlie.
Charlie "...", "What is wrong with this man?" Charlie thought. Everyone was laughing at Charlie because of what his dad is doing. Eve was trying to suppress her laughter and said.
"Okay dad I will" Eve said.
"Thank you dear" Mark said. He turned to Victor and Racheal and said.
"This old man will be going, I have some matters to take care of, congrats once again."
"Thanks" Victor said and escorted him to his car. Victor came back and then six friends drank, talked. They were practically teasing Charlie throughout the night.
When the party was over it was already very late (around midnight), Racheal has already retired because she needed to take care of the new born baby. Victor offered his friends to stay over and they agreed and they all retired for the night.
The next morning, Eve and Charlie left Victor's mansion as early as 6am in order to get ready for work. They bade Victor and Racheal goodbye and left.

Charlie and Eve got to their mansion, they went upstairs to their room immediately and freshened up. Thirty minutes later Charlie and Eve came downstairs to the dinning room and ate their breakfast because they didn't eat anything at Victor and Racheal's house. They ate in a hurry and left the house separately because Charlie had an important meeting at 8am in the morning.
"See you later" Charlie said and kissed Eve on the lips.
"Okay, drive safely" Eve said.
"You too" Charlie said and enters his car and drove off. Eve waited after Charlie's car disappeared from sight and proceeded to the garage. Charlie allowed her to drive any car of her choice. She walked into the garage and she is shocked at the fleets of expensive cars in the garage.
Eve looked around the garage and admired the cars for some minutes before choosing a low key Audi car and stepped inside. She got in and saw that the car is not so simple from the inside just the outside. It has the self driving function, a mini television and CD player. She admired and studied the car for five minutes before starting it and drove off to work.

Eve walked out of the elevator and she was approached by Candice.
"Good morning ma'am" Candice greeted.
"Good morning Candice" Eve greeted back.
"How was your night ma'am?" Candice asked.
"It was wonderful and yours?" Eve asked Candice. She was beginning to suspect or should I say uncomfortable with the way Candice is behaving.
"Ma'am, I saw the car you came in with and I will not lie to you, it is breathtaking" Candice said.
"Thank... you" Eve said not sure of what think of Candice's behavior.
"Is the car yours?" Candice asked.
"Yes. Alright enough with the questions, you are not been paid to laze around" Eve said leaving Candice.
"Okay ma'am" Candice said. Candice went to sit on her sit and her colleague said.
"What's with all those questions, Candice?" Ossy asked.
"I just want to get on her good side and possibly be friends with our boss" Candice lied.
"Just be careful not to make her pissed with all the questions" Ossy said.
"Don't worry I won't. I will go to the ladies room" Candice said taking her phone and stood up and went to the restroom.

Candice got into the restroom and checked all the stalls to see if anyone is there but she found no one and she called Adriana.
"Hello big sis" Candice said.
"Hello Candy, any info?" Adriana asked.
"Yes, Miss Eve came to work today with a different car" Candice said.
"Meaning?" Adriana asked confused because how is it her business of Eve drove a different car to work today.
"Miss Eve is usually dropped off at work by someone and later at the end of the day the same car comes to pick her up, but today she drove herself to work and she will do the same at the end of work today. Don't you think this is an opportunity to carry out our plan of killing her?" Candice said.
"You mean let's tamper with her car so she does when drives home?" Adriana asked.
"Yes!" Candice said excitedly.
"Okay thanks, I will send someone over to do that" Adriana said.
"Be fast because we would be closing at 2pm today" Candice said.
"Okay" Adriana said.
"Okay I will hang up now someone is approaching the restroom" Candice said with a low voice to prevent anyone from hearing her.
"Okay bye" Adriana said cutting the call. Candice washed her hand and walked out of the restroom as if nothing happened.
At around 12noon, the person Adriana sent arrived in the company's garage and looked for the car described to him by his employer. He searched for some while and found Eve's car at the end of the garage. He proceeded to carry out his mission but he was captured by unknown men before he could touch anything.
It was 2pm already and work ended for the day. Eve went down to the garage and entered her car and drove off. Eve was not aware that she was followed by someone.
"She has drove off with the car" Candice informed Adriana.
"Very good" Adriana said and cuts the call. She was wondering where the person she told to tamper with the brakes of Eve's car is. She has been trying his number but it wasn't going through.

CEO's office~~~~~
Charlie heard a knock on the door and he said to the person outside.
"Come in" with an authoritative voice. Dan walked into the office.
"Good afternoon sir" secretary Dan bowed down and greeted Charlie.
"Mhm... What is it?" Charlie asked.
"Sir... Someone tried to tamper with the brakes of your wife's car" secretary Dan informed and immediately the temperature in the room was brought down to sub zero.
"What!" Charlie said in a low voice but it was still intimidating.
"Someone tried to tamper with your wife's car today but he was caught before he could do anything to the car" secretary Dan said.
"Where is the person now?" Charlie asked.
"He is being brought to the tourturing dungeon, sir" secretary Dan said.
"Were they able to make him confess who sent him?" Charlie asked now becoming impatient and overflowing with anger.
"Someone dared to kill my wife!"
"Tell them to continue torturing him until he talks I will meet them in the tourturing dungeon in one hour" Charlie said.
"Okay sir" secretary Dan said and left the office.
Charlie tried to focus on his work but he kept on thinking about Eve and decided to call her. The phone rang three times before it was picked.
"Hello dear, why are you calling by this time? Aren't you busy?" Eve asked.
"I just wanted to check on you. Where are you now?" Charlie asked.
"We closed early today and I am eating out with Sue and Nars. Hope no problem?" Eve asked munching on chicken wings.
"No... No... Enjoy your lunch" Charlie said.
"Okay, bye" Eve said and cuts the call. Charlie sighs and is happy that Eve is safe. He picks up his phone and calls ken.
"Has he talked?" Charlie asked ken.
"No boss" ken said.
"Damnit! I will be there soon" Charlie said carrying his coat and runs out of his office. He gets into his car and drove off to the location.
Eve eats with her friends unaware of the situation that she almost died today.
