CHAPTER 109: BAIL
Few minutes to lunch break Candice's phone rang. She saw the caller to be Adriana and she needed to take this call.
She stood up and excused herself to the restroom. She goes to the restroom and when she made sure she was the only one in the restroom, she dialed Adriana's number back.
"Hey! Why were you not picking my calls?!" Adriana angry voice was heard from the other side of the line.
"I was busy and besides, it was not lunch break yet" Candice said.
"I thought lunch break is by 12pm" Adriana said.
"No. It is now 12:30pm. She changed the time" Candice said.
"Damn you Eve!" Adriana shouted with frustration.
"She did not only change the lunch break time, she also shifted the closing time backwards making it from 7pm to 6pm" Candice said.
"I will get her back for this!" Adriana shouted. She is very angry because Eve is changing almost everything in the company. "I will make sure I take back what is mine" Adriana thought.
"Any updates on her schedule?" Adriana asked.
"Nothing. We secretaries are not informed of her schedule anymore until further notice. Could it be she is beginning to suspect something?" Candice asked.
"That can't be, just continue to keep an eye on her" Adriana said.
"Okay" Candice said. She ends the call and walks out of the restroom.

Adriana and her mother Sofia went to the prison to visit George. When they got there, they were told by the officers to wait in the visitation room. Few minutes later, George was brought to them.
"Hey dad" Adriana said.
"Hey honey, how are you doing?" Sofia asked with a worried tone and face.
"I am doing fine. You don't have to worry too much dear" George said holding his wife's hands and comforting her.
"We need to working on getting you out of here. You are becoming thin" Sofia said.
"Yes that is true. We need our lawyer to submit a letter of appeal for release" George said.
"Yes ! Yes! Quick Adriana contact our lawyer to do that immediately" Sofia said. "I can't wait for you to get out of here and come home" Sofia said.
"Me too" George said.
"I will do that after we leave here" Adriana said.
"Make sure you do that" George said.
"Don't worry she would do it" Sofia said.
"So... How is it going with Eve? Even if we can't get Devan corporation back from her, make sure you destroy the company" George said.
"The spy I planted in the company has been informing me about the activities of Eve in the office. I have been able boycott her plan of signing a contract with Mr Honor of Honor group of companies " Adriana said.
"That is very good of you" George praised his daughter.
"But lately, Eve has prevented her secretaries from knowing her schedules and only herself and her personal assistants know of her schedule and it is obstructing my plans" Adriana said.
"Why not bribe her personal assistants to our side. At least if you can't get both of them, one is sufficient enough" Sofia suggested.
"You can do that right?" George asked his daughter.
"No. It can't be possible, dad" Adriana said.
"Why?" George asked surprised that his daughter said it is not possible. "Isn't it just giving them some money and they would work for them" George thought.
"How can you say it is not possible? Can you explain to us more" George said.
"Her two personal assistants which are Sue and Nars are her best friends and besides they were transferred from JK corporation to Devan corporation by Charles just to be her personal assistants. With all these reasons, do you think they would agree to side with us? They would just go and tell everything to Charles and Eve and that will destroy our plan" Adriana said.
"If it is like that then what are you going to do about it?" George asked his daughter.
"Well... We will just wait and see if my spy can get any news by getting close to Eve and if she can't then we will have to hire someone to follow her" Adriana said.
"Okay, that is also a good suggestion" George said.
"Adriana quick call the lawyer now!" Sofia said hurriedly.
"Okay mom" Adriana said while taking out her phone out of her bag and dialed their lawyer's number. It rang for two times before someone answered the call.
"Hello" a voice rang from the other side of the line.
"Hello, good morning Mr Meyers" Adriana greeted and she put the phone on speaker so her father and mother can listen in on the conversation between her and the lawyer.
"Good morning Miss Adriana. It has been long, how are you doing?" Mr Meyers asked.
"I am fine" Adriana said.
"Can I ask why you called?" Mr Meyers asked.
"I called to ask of it is possible for us to submit a letter of appeal for the release of my father" Adriana said.
"Yes you can. You can apply for his bail" Mr Meyers said.
"How do you mean?" Adriana asked.
"Well, applying for bail is when you pay certain amount of money in exchange for the release of your father" Mr Meyers said.
"Okay we would let you apply for the bail. I really need my father to get out of this prison immediately" Adriana said.
"Yes... But his case is quite difficult and the success rate isn't that high" Mr Meyers said.
"I do not care which ever method you use, just make sure my father is granted bail. Money isn't the problem" Adriana said.
"Yes Miss Adriana, I will try my best" Mr Meyers said.
"Okay bye and I will be waiting for your good news" Adriana said.
"Yes, bye" Mr Meyers said and both ends the call at the same time. There was few seconds of silence before Sofia spoke up.
"So I guess we just have to wait for the bail to be granted... Hmm" Sofia said.
"Looks like it" George said.
"We would be going now dad" Adriana said.
"Okay" George said. They hugged each other and Adriana and Sofia left the prison.

Eve is working on some documents when Sue and Nars came into the office.
"Eve we need to tell you something" Sue said seriously.
Eve raised her head and is very surprised and curious of what her friends wants to tell her.
"What is it?" Eve asked.
"This Candice girl... Do you trust her?" Sue asked.
"Candice?" Eve asked confused.
"Yes!" Nars said.
"She has been asking for your schedules and if we ask her why, she would not say anything" Sue said.
"Really?" Eve asked.
"Yes and I don't trust her at all" Nars said.
"I think she is the spy we are looking for" Sue said.
"Don't worry I will tell Charlie about it" Eve said.
"Okay please do so" Sue said.
Sue and Nars left the office and Eve went back to working on the documents.
