CHAPTER 110: BAIL GRANTED

Eve is working on some documents when Sue and Nars came into the office.

"Eve we need to tell you something" Sue said seriously.

Eve raised her head and is very surprised and curious of what her friends wants to tell her.

"What is it?" Eve asked.

"This Candice girl... Do you trust her?" Sue asked.

"Candice?" Eve asked confused.

"Yes!" Nars said.

"She has been asking for your schedules and if we ask her why, she would not say anything" Sue said.

"Really?" Eve asked.

"Yes and I don't trust her at all" Nars said.

"I think she is the spy we are looking for" Sue said.

"Don't worry I will tell Charlie about it" Eve said.

"Okay please do so" Sue said.

Sue and Nars left the office and Eve went back to working on the documents.

Chapter 110

The next day~~~~~

Saturday morning~~~~~

Charlie and Eve were eating breakfast in silence before Charlie spoke.

"I was informed by secretary Dan that your uncle is applying for bail" Charlie said. Eve halted her hand that was about to put food into her mouth.

"So what?" Eve said non chalantly. She was looking down at her food.

"Do you not mind that they might try to kill you again or try to take back the company" Charlie said.

"I am not afraid of them and besides I have you so why should I be worried about what they would do to me" Eve said still not looking at Charlie.

"Eve... Eve look at me" Charlie said and stopped eating and looks at Eve.

"Mhm..." Eve hummed her answer but she didn't look at Charlie.

"Look at me Eve" Charlie said with an authoritative voice.

After Charlie said she should look at him the first time, she didn't because she was crying and did not want Charlie to know that she was crying. Charlie looked closer and saw tears drop from Eve's eyes.

"Are you crying?" Charlie asked, now he is worried about Eve.

"No... No I am not" Eve said while cleaning her eyes.

"Yes you were crying. Why were you crying?" Charlie asked.

"I was not crying!" Eve refuted.

"Yes you were" Charlie said.

"I was not crying!" Eve lied again.

"Yes you were and you need to tell me why you were crying" Charlie said.

Eve concluded that she would not win against Charlie on this matter thus she decided to give up and talk to Charlie.

"I... I just don't know why my uncle, aunt and cousin hate me so much. I did not do anything to upset them. When I was living with them they would look for all possible reasons to maltreate me and they would even make me starve for days. I... I..." Eve tears were already pouring out like rain and Charlie stood up from his seat and hugged Eve to comfort her and make her to stop crying.

"Eve they are not worth your tears so stop crying and cheer up okay?" Charlie said helping Eve to clean her tears.

"Mhm" Eve hummed softly.

"Do not worry, I will make sure they don't come close to you" Charlie said assuringly.

"Okay, thanks Hun" Eve said.

"Now hurry up and eat your breakfast so we can go out" Charlie said. Charlie wanted to take her out to enjoy herself and he vowed to make sure she would forget all the pain she feels in her heart.

"We are going out?" Eve asked surprised.

"Yes so hurry up with your food so we can go" Charlie said.

"Where are we going?" Eve asked.

"A place I go to whenever I want to be alone" Charlie said.

"Where is that place?" Eve asked eagerly.

"Somewhere. It is a secret. Now hurry up so we can go freshen up and go" Charlie said chuckling at Eve's surprised face.

"My wife just keeps becoming more cuter by the day" Charlie thought. Eve and Charlie finished eating. They freshened up, dressed and head out.

Prison~~~~~

Visitation room~~~~~

The Anderson's lawyer Mr Meyers, Adriana Anderson, Sofia Anderson and George Anderson were all seated in the visitation room to know whether the bail was granted. 

Mr Meyers took the brown envelope where the document is out from his bag and proceeds to open it immediately. When he tore it open and started reading through it.

"What does it say?" George asked.

"Was the bail granted or not?" Sofia asked.

"Say something!" Adriana shouted lightly. All of them were anxious for two reasons. Firstly, the appeal for bail was granted or not and secondly, this was their only way for George to be free.

Mr Meyers cleared his throat before he said "the appeal for your bail was granted and you are required to pay 500,000 dollars before you are out." 

"That is great news!" Sofia said. Adriana and George sighed in relief to hear that the appeal was granted.

"But.." Mr Meyers interrupted their happy moments.

"But what, Mr Meyers?" Adriana asked curious.

"The document also said that after you pay the money for the bail, you would have to wait for two days before the bail is finalized finally" Mr Meyers said.

"That won't be a problem Mr Meyers, as long as I will be getting out of here I fine with waiting for two more days" George said.

"Then it is finalized. Congratulations on your release in advance Mr George Anderson" Mr Meyers said stretching out his hand for a handshake.

"Thank you Mr Meyers for your help" George said shaking Mr Meyers's hand.

"You are welcome Mr George Anderson" Mr Meyers said and left the room. 

"That was a relief. I thought it did not pull through with the facial expression he had on his face" Sofia said exhaling.

"Why did you think it won't pull through?" George asked his wife.

"Well with all the cases filed against you and to say that the person who filed the case is Charles, of course I won't be surprised if the bail is granted" Sofia said.

"That is true and I am wondering why he did not refute and stop the court from approving the bail" Adriana said.

"We would have to find out" George said.

"How are we going to find out" Adriana asked.

"We would just have to go and beg for forgiveness and thereby use the opportunity to ask why he did not obstruct the court final decision" George said.

"Okay" Adriana and Sofia said.

Charlie was working on some documents when his secretary, Dan knocked on the door and came in.

"What is it?" Charlie asked still working on the documents on his desk.

"I just came to inform you that the appeal for Mr George Anderson release on bail was granted and he would be out of prison in two days time" secretary Dan said.

"Okay, thank you. You can go now" Charlie said and gesturing with his hand for his secretary to leave him.

Charlie took his phone and called Sazuki. The phone was picked up immediately it started ringing.

"Hello boss" Sazuki said.

"Follow the Andersons and report any suspicious movement to me ASAP" Charlie said.

"Okay boss" Sazuki said. Charlie ends the call and continued working on the documents.
