CHAPTER 135
Eve's became unbearable. She became an outcast in the school but Eve tried to pay no attention to any of the gossip. She endured until she graduated from high school. After high school, she begged her uncle not to put her in the same university as Adriana to prevent any trouble from her and he agreed.
Eve and Adriana attended different universities but Adriana still tourtured her at home and her father and mother joined in to maltreat her. She endured until she graduated university and she was eventually kicked out of the house to go fend for herself.

"I never wanted Pérez!..." Eve shouted but she was interrupted by Adriana.
"But he wanted you... and that alone is your fault?" Adriana said.
"How was it my fault that Pérez liked me? I only wanted a peaceful school life but you, Pérez and your minions never allow it!" Eve shouted.
"That serves you right! Every boy I liked always liked you instead!" Adriana shouted.
"Which other boys? No other boys approached me!" Eve said.
"Of course they did not approach you because I made sure of that!... You remember Sam?" Adriana asked Eve.
Eve thought for a while and remembered who Adriana was talking about "the new transfer student when we were in 10th grade?" Eve said.
"Yes" Adriana said.
"But he never told me anything?" Eve said.
"Because I made him leave the school" Adriana said.
Eve mouth hung open before she said "how?" Eve asked.
"I threatened him. I told him that if he does not leave the school voluntarily, I will make sure you were expelled from the school in a disgraceful way" Adriana said and laughed.
"No wonder he suddenly left the school" Eve said.
"Yes and I also did the same thing to Carlos, Jack and Dave" Adriana said.
"You are heartless Adriana!" Eve said to Adriana.
"It is all your fault because if Pérez, Sam, Carlos, Jack and Dave had not liked you, I would not have been wicked towards you... Oh wait.... I would" Adriana said and laughed.
"I guess it is not because of all what Adriana must have told you that made you hate me, so what is your own reason for hating me, uncle?" Eve looked at George and asked him.
"Me?.... Well your father was my brother but he did not help me even though his business was doing well..." Eve interrupted him.
"That is a lie! You are lying! I overheard the numerous conversations between you and my father and I heard him telling you that you should stop gambling with every money he gave you. You would use the money my father give you to gamble and you would lie to everyone that my father does not want to help you whenever he refused to give you money. The last time you both talked and he vowed not to give you money again because you would just waste it and then he suddenly had an accident the next day while returning from work" Eve said.
"Eve! Eve!! Eve!!! That company was first started by our father, that is yours and Adriana grandfather. I was the first son and I was supposed to take over but your so called grandfather willed it to your father! Can you believe that?" George paused, he laughed maniacally and continued "and his stupid reason was that I was too careless! Really! Me careless" George was already shouting at Eve.
"Yes you are" Eve said and this earned her a hard slap on her face. George slapped her!
"How was I careless? I made the Devan corporation what it is today!" George shouted.
"The company was already flourishing before my parents died, you just used the connections my dad made for the company!" Eve shouted.
"Whether I used the connections or not, I made Devan corporation what it is today and you had no right to take it away from me!" George shouted.
"I had no right? The company was mine to begin with!!My dad willed the company to me! I was supposed to inherite the company when I finished college but you refused to hand over the company and even chased me out of the house and tried to kill me!" Eve shouted back.
"That is because you were being nosy and an obstacle for me so I decided to get you out of the way" George said non chalantly.
"You are so greedy to the extent that you will kill just to achieve your goal, even you Adriana" Eve said and looked at Adriana.

Back at Devan corporation~~~~~
Charlie is beginning to get worried and suspect something is wrong because Eve is supposed to be at the company by now. He heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" Charlie said.
"What can I do for you sir?" Secretary Dan asked.
"Check the CCTVs of the hospital, but inside and outside and report to me immediately" Charlie said.
"Okay sir" secretary Dan said and left the office.
Few minutes later, secretary Dan came inside the office.
"I have checked the CCTV footages and I discovered that someone was wheeled out of the examination room ma'am was in for her regular check up by two masked men in a doctor's attire"
"Wasn't the doctor assigned to my wife there when this happened?" Charlie asked.
"He left the room after the hospital director left the room " secretary Dan said.
"Dr Philip?" Charlie asked.
"Yes sir" secretary Dan said.
"Okay, you may leave... continue investigating and report to me if you find anything" Charlie said.
"Okay sir " secretary Dan bowed down and left the office. Charlie picks his phone and called the hospital director.
"Hello Charles, how are you?" Philip asked.
"I am worried about Eve uncle Philip" Charlie said.
"What is wrong? Haven't you seen Eve yet" Philip asked.
"I haven't uncle Philip" Charlie said.
"But the doctor that examined her told me that she has left when I went to ask him" Philip was surprised that Charlie hasn't seen Eve yet 'isn't she supposed to be with him?' he thought.
"Who is the doctor in charge of my wife's check up?" Charlie asked.
"It is Dr Matthew but he was not around at that time so another doctor was assigned to her" Philip said.
"Who is the doctor?" Charlie asked.
"Dr Andrew. Any problem Charles?" Philip asked worried.
"No problem, thanks uncle Philip" Charlie said.
"You are welcome" Philip said and the call ended. 'I wonder what is going on' Philip thought.

"Investigate Dr Andrew and report to me immediately" Charlie ordered ken.
"Yes boss" ken said, bowed and left the office.
'Please be safe wherever you are Eve' Charlie thought.
