CHAPTER 5

As soon a Ruth finished putting on her garment by Lady Akeshia's assistant, Lady Akeshia held her arm and led her to Martin's study as instructed by Martin. She left her there and went ahead to continue with her duties since Martin was still receiving his calls and writing some notes in his notebook. Ruth remained standing since she did not know whether Martin wanted her to stand or sit. 

" Welcome love. This is my study. You can come and stay here whenever you need some privacy. I am going to give you the spare keys to this study but you will have to hang the keyholder on your neck wherever you go. People here in the closer gates are fond of making copies. That is the main reason why I also have to put mine on my neck . Expect a copy tomorrow Love" said Martin smiling. 

" Thank you love for trusting in me. I will ensure that I honour your word. Expecting the spare keys tomorrow but I got one question love. Why is it that I am not allowed to leave my room? Can't I walk outside even if I am not leaving the closer gates?" said Ruth out of curiosity.

" Why? Who told you so? I have not deprived you the rights of walking around the closer gates. I just did not want you to walk alone. Do you really want to walk around the closer gates? I will ask Lady Akeshia to accompany you together with Haggai. Haggai is one of my best warriors here in closed gates. I always have a lot of enemies and that is the main reason why I always need strong people like him" said Martin as he went close to Ruth.

He immediately carried her and took her to the car. All the labourers in the closer gates were astonished. Martin was not intimate like this with his ex wife. They were amazed by his sudden change. This were some of the things that Ruth found it hard to resist. 

" You are so good to me Martin Tupfer. You are such an amazing husband. Let's go. I am so eager to try out the new uniforms. I am sure that they will look good on me. Thank you so much for this opportunity Martin Tupfer" said Ruth smiling as Martin entered the car and decided to drive off. 

Haggai opened the closer gates as Martin drove off. He was fond of driving faster. Those dangerous things in life made him extremely happy which people found it hard to understand. They finally arrived at the shop, it was few blocks away from the closer gates. Martin asked Ruth to choose the height of the kind of uniform that she wanted. Ruth chose the shortest kinds of clothes. 

" I like this one. I used to wear shorter skirts while I was still at my parents home. Do not blame for that . I still treasure that and I am going to wear that. I hope you will be very much contented by all of this" said Ruth smiling. 

She wanted to see Martin offended but instead she was astonished that Martin was just smiling. 

He seemed to be amazed by her. 

" Let's go to the shoping mall. I am sure you will want some things for the house and other items as well for school. I have known you much better to even tell what excites you. You like shoping a lot and it's what you loved to do when you had a little sum of money" said Martin without buying any school uniform for Ruth.

" How did you know about that?" Asked Ruth filled with curiosity.

" My instincts love. When you love your partner, it is wiser to be able to know the things that exactly makes them happy. Love, your happiness is my main happiness too. I withdrew from hurting the people I love the moment I saw you. So! Let's spend the most time that we have right now before we pick up Purist from school. I see a vendor passing with an ice cream. I know her, she takes them to Loreto company. Do you want some ice cream love" said Martin as Ruth nodded her head. 

Martin immediately parked his car next to where the vendor was standing selling her ice creams and bought two cones of ice creams.

 RUTH'S POV

Why is it that he seems different from the way people define him? Maybe they just despise him. Lady Akeshia , she seems fond of Martin in such a way that I believe that she cannot lie against him. Such people prefer to die in the worst kinds of fate in order to protect the ones they care about and love. Martin is my husband and nobody will ever make me leave him. Time to take ice cream. This sweet kind of ice cream. 

" Thank you Martin Tupfer. I do like ice creams a lot. I am glad that you actually are aware of everything that I like Martin my Love. I cannot wait to see your favourite things too. I think it's time for me to enter the closer gates kitchen to cook for you some of my delicacies which are at interest" said Ruth smiling as Martin drove off since he had already paid the vendor the money for the ice creams .

" Thank you so much love. I think that it must be tonight. Purist would love to taste your cooking" said Martin as Ruth nodded her head in agreement.

RUTH'S POV

Did I just accept that I will cook tonight? What if I have forgotten how to cook? What if I cannot cook anymore? What if he hates my cooking and punish me just like the way he punishes the other labourers? No! Nothing will go wrong dear girl. Your cooking has always been the best and this has always made your guests back in your father's house to come back again and again. Relax. Nothing will apsalutely go wrong. Of course Lady Akeshia will help you since she is your personal assistant . She will have no choice than to follow you since she picks most of her orders from you Ruth. 

" Love! I would like to purchase a few dolls at the mall. You will have to allow me to do that. I really like those pretty little dolls" said Ruth smiling as Martin continued to drive.

" Not good for a wife. Maybe if we buy some for purist. They might be able to make he busy when she has no school to attend to. You know my daughter, she loves those million little things" said Martin as he held Ruth's arm. 

RUTH'S POV

I should not have asked him that. I should have said that they were for Purist. 

Ruth kept smiling at herself and the fact that she felt that she was a bit shameless for asking Martin to buy her dolls.
