Martin decided to stop at the nearest mall. He therefore got out if the car and went towards Ruth's side then opened the glinding door of the car. Martin therefore escorted Ruth to the mall then went to the doll's shelf. Ruth picked one of the dolls for Purist which she liked and had no idea if Purist would like it too.
"Is it only dolls that she likes? Oh! Don't be angry with me. I am just curious to know since young girls are fond of many other things. Let's buy her that umbrella dress. I am sure she will like it. I used to like umbrella dresses when I was young too" said Ruth who became a little bit tensed.
" Alright. You can use my credit card to buy everything that you want. I will be in the car waiting for you. I am just not fond of shoping. I had to come and it was all because of you. Because I love you" said Martin who gave Ruth the credit card and left.
Ruth was astonished. She had never held a credit card in her arm before. She was extremely astonished by this sudden situation. As she was shoping, she had someone tap her back. She was astonished to find out that it was her high school boyfriend who had no idea yet that she was already married since he had been out of town. He only came back to visit his grandmother.
" Ruth! Ruth! You cannot even greet your old time friend. Do you think that you will ever find an old time friend like me again? At least hug me" said Rodgers extremely happy.
" No Rodgers. Maybe later on. My uncle is waiting for me outside there and I am sure that it will not be a good picture if he sees the both of us together. He will be devastated and angry since he is the one who is responsible from sponsoring my education nowadays" said Ruth a bit worried.
She did not want Martin to find them conversing with one another. She knew that it would make Martin angry and there is nothing that she would do in order to change his mind. She continued shopping till she was done. She asked one of the supermarket attendants to assist her to take the goods to the car.
All this time she had no idea that Rodgers was watching her. Unluckily, Rodgers had heard the story about Martin marrying a minor. And now he got the idea of who the girl really was. He wanted to stop her but he could not do anything since the car was already leaving.
" I have bought most items which are of interest at hand . I hope that you will like all of them" said Ruth smiling.
Martin kept silent which astonished Ruth. He still remained silent even after they picked up Purist from school. They all went back to the closer gates.
" Lady Nana please take my daughter to her room and help her change" instructed Martin who seemed to be filled with alot of fury.
He held Ruth's arms tightly and led her to their matrimonial room. He threw her on top of the bed.
" Who was that? You decide to hook up with a man in the supermarket behind my back. Don't you know that I am someone whom everybody fear. Don't make me make you fear me. I am a bad person. Start speaking! Who was that man?"
" Just a customer at the supermarket" replied Ruth in a pellucid voice.
" You are not speaking clearly and you know of how much I do hate lies. Don't make me punish you. When it comes to punishing someone, I do not always care who that person really is. I am waiting for nothing but the truth" shouted Martin at Ruth angrily.
" Alright. His name Rodgers and he is my ex boyfriend although he has no idea about it. We did not speak too much since I decided to let him go" shouted Ruth at Martin out of frustruation.
" Do you still love him?" Asked Martin in a calm voice.
" Let us not talk about Rodgers, Martin. I am now married to Martin Tupfer and I do respect this marriage. I would never think of going against your wishes. It was just a coincident that he was shoping at the same supermarket as well" said Ruth in a pellucid voice.
" Do you still love him?" Shouted Martin at Ruth.
Ruth widened her eyes in disbelief. It was not really what she had expected. She was caught up in mixed emotions and did not really know what to say.
" Yes I think I do Martin. I love him the same way that I love you. He had never done anything to hurt me before. Rodgers is a good person just like you but the one thing he never did, he never shouted at me like you do Martin Tupfer" shouted Ruth too.
This caught the attention of the labourers. They wondered what was going on but none of them bothered to ask. Martin carried Ruth forcefully to the bathtub. He switched on the cooler water which made Ruth's clothes wet. She kept crying out of frustruation Martin did not want to take that into consideration. He did this purposely to punish Ruth.
This was the real Martin Tupfer.
MARRIED AT SIXTEEN.
